Even the endsars one, you can imagine the speed with which SARS was ended so that evil people do not take over the protest, but all these indomine people who do not understand precedence thought protest was just about wearing sneakers and snapping pictures. Even in first world countries, if a protest stays too long people will take laws into their hands, it is a natural law of power.

Thank you for this.

I can remember the occupy wall street protest in the US and how the government stopped it when it started going violent.

Even the antifa and black lives matter protest, when government saw the lootings and burnings, they sent the federal troops to bring law and order.

Yes protest can be stopped before it even start because protest just don't start, they are usually organized and sponsored.

Once you know the organizers, you can stop it.

Good news

I love this.

Most people don't understand once you destroy things during protest, you are indirectly taking away your right.

Some people will say it ìs their constitutional right to protest, yes it is but also know that destruction, blocking of roads and airports, burning down buildings, and occupying Government buildings is no more a protest again but a coup.

Shey dem kill protesters for Hong Kong when they invade their Senate building. For me Endsar protest was peaceful. Blame your politicians for the violence

Yes, i know what is Martial law.
Also, it is not the job of police to protect protesters, police are usually in a protest for law and order.

You didn't watch the hong kong protest, people were shot when it turned violent.

Protesters in the hongkong protest were attacking police, the police had to defend themselves

They won over the people. Did they go? They were still in power. At the end they suppressed your freedom and controlled the press

I warned them to go via lawmaker /constituency route. The elites on SM inciting protests are going about their lives unhindered and untouched, they know themselves.

Did they shot at peaceful protesters? How many people died? only 2 probably as a result of stampede. If it was in Nigeria that kind of protest occurred, we know nothing less than 2000 will die at the hands of the security personnel.

REF NO CZ: 5650/LA/PPRO/VOL.3/48

POLICE PRESS RELEASE,  LAGOS STATE COMMAND,  DATED 5TH NOVEMBER, 2020

WE WILL RESIST ANY PLANNED PROTEST IN LAGOS- POLICE

The Lagos State Police Command has vowed to resist any form of planned protest, procession or gathering under any guise or nomenclature in Lagos State  as the government and people of Lagos still nurture the wounds of the recent Endsars violence that wrecked havocs across the state.

The command wishes to inform the general public that based on intelligence gathering from relevant intelligence agencies, some unpatrioric elements or group of people have concluded plans to orchestrate another set of violence in the state in furtherance to the recent  Endsars violence, which has been analysed as dangerous and counterproductive.

Premised on this, the command, therefore, wishes to warn any individuals, group of students or any groups who might want to stage any form of protest, either "peaceful" or violent, or gathering whatsoever, to desist as the police and other security agencies will
collectively and tactically resist any security threats or threats to public peace which might be triggered by protest or protesters in Lagos State.

The Police command, emphatically, warns parents and guardians to discourage their children or wards from embarking on any protest in the state as the possibility of hijacking it by armed hoodlums to cause grieve and pains like the recent past is evident.

We encourage the general public to ignore any call for protest and go about their lawful businesses as all hands are on deck to maintain law and order and public safety across the length and breath of the state.

Same police that is constitutionally empowered to protect peaceful protesters while arresting miscreants? No tyranny have ever succeed against the resolve of a determined people. #EndSARS will be a child's play when another uprising will spring up.

The president is the commander in Chief of Nigeria and can declare a Marshall law on a violent protest to bring back law and order.

You are typing like a kid, you don't understand the power of the president
