This guy talk like a tout yet he claims to be a lawyer. This statement is very very uncalled for because Igbo people are indigenous in Rivers State. Forget those having identity crisis!!! 2 Likes |

onyidon22:I presume that you've never been to Ph before? It is easier for an igbo to be accepted in sambisa forest than that place. Those guys are highly Igbo phobic and won't waste time to show you. Don't allow Igbos to fool you. Most of them haven't stepped a foot in Rivers state. This is the reason why ipob is not popular in Anambra state. They have no self respect. 1 Like |

Bkayyy:They are many ethnic groups in Rivers State but Wike putting it in a way that depicts Igbos as strangers in Rivers State is very bad. Delta State is a heterogeneous State and Igbo also lay claim to the State being their ancestral heritage. |

HonourableUche: Many of your igbo migrants you mean? Don’t the so called igbo indigenes have traditional rulers? So they can’t make common press release? You see that it’s your igbo brothers having sleepless night over Rivers state? You guys are simply attach by force. No shame 1 Like |

Dreadful: The Ikwerres have said it time and time again that they are not Igbos , why force them to identify themselves as Igbos when they clearly reject it. The non hausa people even in the north feel insulted when called hausa even if they speak the hausa language. Don't let tribalism be the death of you. Open your eyes. I live in Rivers State in an Ikwerre community in Port Harcourt and they have never regarded themselves as Igbos or consider the Igbos their kinsmen. Remember, they fought against Biafra. Don't forget this. Ojukwu made the same mistake of forcing Biafra on the Niger Delta and it turned out that Niger Delta fought ferociously for one Nigeria. Clearly history has been removed from Nigerian schools but Google it. Don't also forget that the Ijaws liberated Port Harcourt from Biafran forces yet we do not claim to own the entirety of the city. We know where are boundaries are at. The Biafran horse is dead, long dead, stop flogging it. Bury it and move on with your life. I wonder why the mighty Igbos are politically isolated, clearly the Igbos dwell on what God has not permitted and has refused to permit. 2 Likes |

EmekaA125:I don't know the Igbos you are talking about but the indigenes of the one very close to Delta state which is Anambra never lays claim to any part of their land and never simps for them. Infact we treat their Bleep up and remind them how they are not full Igbos if need be which is the reason why they respect us and are even the ones coming close to anambra state. Infact if something were to happen in onitsha, the first police or fire brigade response is always from Delta state. Even in their radio stations and TV stations, they are the ones that scream Igbo up and down because they know that we won't go low to claim any human being. But that doesn't stop the fact that if they Bleep up we won't show them their place. Do you know how many times the bridge has been locked up? Even with all their oil which you know is more than what Rivers state have, we never stoop for them or consider them our equals. You see, in this life the respect you have is synonymous with way you view yourself. Ipob and Abia state have bleeped up which is the reason why ordinary Ikwerre is treating them that way. I wish Anambra is the one close to Rivers state 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Ikwerres are not Igbos. They are a distinct ethnic group. Even the Constitution of Nigeria recognizes them as such. |
Re: Wike: Rivers Will Continue To Be Home To Igbos by Bkayyy: 9:04am On Nov 10, 2020 |
vanunu:It is better they remain that way. Even if they do DNA test and it is positive. They will never be accepted as true Igbos in Northern Igboland. Especially Anambra |

Simplyleo:. You are so uninformed, why are the igbos not claiming to be part of bayelsa and Akwaibom? Don't they have oil too, the guy said igboid stuck, just like itshekri and some tribes in Delta are regarded as Yoruba or Bini stuck, that means they have cultural affinity or could have come from the same lineage. Just a little research will help you, stop embarrassing your generation on a public forum. 3 Likes 1 Share |
