Thank you
Naijaforeigner:

(1) oh yes you can travel.

Most international students in Ontario and Quebec travel to USA a whole lot during spring and summer breaks.

And yes, you can travel home (Nigeria) during studies. Just make sure you travel during authorized school breaks, you have no immigration and school issues and you have enough funds that will sufficiently cover that trip.

If you ever need to travel when school is in session (not a school authorized break) please get a letter from your dean or coordinator to that effect.

(2) If it is going to be an on campus (school owned) kind of accommodation, yes you can pay and attach to your application if you want to.

However, if it is an off campus accommodation, don’t pay for anything until you get to Canada.
Scammers plenty for Canada too o, no lose guard. See what you are paying for with your eyes.

P.s Having an accommodation before arrival is not a visa requirement.

I really don't know what the problem is or whether it's IRCC or VFS that's delaying. Folks with whom I have the same passport submission, reception and IRCC transit timeline have gotten the fourth mail one must get before stamping but I m still waiting. 20 days gone.

Call VFS tomorrow morning and then send a mail to IRCC Lagos office at:

lagos-immigration@international.gc.ca

Copy to
lagos@international.gc.ca
Abuja@international.gc.ca

The Abuja office usually responds.

Hello.

Please is there anyone here that has submitted their passport to Abuja VAC? What do we exoect in terms of real time tracking and effectivemess? How many days did it take the passport to return vis a vis Lagos VAC? I submitted my passport on Friday and it got there this morning. Is there anything I am supposed to do to fast track the process as I have bought my ticket already for Dec 26th.

Sent to Lagos. Will do. Thanks

The name of the Deputy High Commisisioner/Acting High Commissioner of Canada to Nigeria is Ryan Ward.

You can send him a mail too on ryan.ward@international.gc.ca.

I bombarded them with mails last week sha. I even sent a mail to Marco Mendicino (the IRCC minister). Funny enough, they usually, unlike those webforms that they don't respond to.

I basically reported Lagos office to them.

Hello Frankrobbn1,

Like you already know, Academic Institution and Immigration are two separate entity. Academic institution literally don't accept IELTS General as a valid/thorough assessment but Immigration would accept IELTS Academic, ONLY if its via the Study route.

Meaning, any of both for applicants immigrating through the study route would essentially suffice to meet the need. NSE is an imitation of SDS which accepts IELTS General for the Stream even when the purpose of travel is noted as study.

I am of the strong opinion that same is applicable for NSE program because the IELTS as part of the program requirements was categorically SPECIFIC by the use of "OR" without sub-specifying.

How's the goings bro?!

Cheers!

Well at this point, our opinion on this matter might not be fact-based until I receive further information from IRCC on either of the two modules (Academics and General), which is the most preferred option.

I'm doing good bro and everything is progressing to the glory of God. Thanks for asking. I pray your plans matures soonest. Best wishes!

The only problem is landing in Ontario then traveling again to Alberta for quarantine then return to Ontario for studies.

Congrats on your approval bro. I sent you a mail in the morning. Kindly reply.

Amen it will end in praise..I already sent a mail to them sef to ask which one is preferred. For the SDS, they accept both sha, it's even on the site, that they accept both general and academic for SDS pilot. So I'm thinking same should apply to NSE since it's a replica.

Meanwhile have you booked for Airbnb for 2weeks quarantine? If yes, did you pay from Nigeria?

Thank you bro.

I'm using the university's quarantine plan. They have a plan for international students who don't have anywhere to quarantine.

The two disciplines (Physics & Computer Science) complement each other, with physics providing an analytic problem-solving outlook and basic understanding of nature, while computer science enhances the ability to make practical and marketable applications, in addition to having its own theoretical interest.

If you notice in Networking (N+), the units of of data (speed transfer & usage) is called KB - Kilobyte, GB - Gigabyte, Hertz etc. ,those are physics terminology

So in a nutshell, it won't raise a red flag, just find a way to do justice to that on your SOP when applying for VISA, cos a VISA OFFICER would want to know why you are going for a PG.Cert in Computer Science instead of a Physics related PG. Cert program which is best known to u based on the Computer Science program u wanna study

Hello gurus,
What are the chances of getting a Canadian study permit after US study visa has been denied four(4) times? I'm a genuine student but it seems US is just doing anyhow, so I wanna do the same biotechnology program at UWindsor for Fall 2021. Same sponsor(dad), but now, he intends to put all the fees in my account for about 2months before application, and I will still submit his personal and corporate bank statements.

-Presently in community pharmacy practice, and I intend to get a leave letter, although salary is jst around 90k. In my LOE, I plan to write that I will come back to my job while I search for better opportunities in multinationals like Novartis or Pfizer.

-Last US denial was earlier dis Nov 2020, applying to Canada for Fall 2021.

BSc Biochem 2017 and bin working since December 2018, datz where I work till date.

-Not married, No kids, in my mid 20's

Uwc, yes it's a good career path owing to the demand of Information Technology world wide.

Google the PG. Cert programs in that link I posted, check the courses done in each of the program and see how you can cross the I's and dot the T's,
cos u would likely get the Admission, but how u gonna convince a Visa Officer in your SOP when u wanna apply for ur Study Visa is the mountain u gotta climb by showing strong & cogent reasons for ur choice of program in Computer Science

Even someone who studied Microbiology as B.SC and want to do a PG. Cert in Microbiology will still have to show explain in his/her SOP " Why PG. Cert in Microbiology "
