presently, where I m staying, my landlady is very nice and good to me. the only law/rule is that u must sweep the whole compound throughout a week and another tenant will continue the next week.

I had the best disciplinarian as landlady during my bachelor's days. She can give rules!
1. No generator and no Okada. In fact, don't bring petrol into the compound.
2. Introduce only one lady to her at a time except your relatives. Mehn, this point sweet me as anyone that visit me automatically become a relative except my ex that year!
3. Do not extend your painting beyond your apartment, she takes care of the house painting every 2 years!
4. You are given only 3 buckets of water per day and if you need more, you buy from her.
5. A Male visitor must not spend more than 3 days in the house except he comes every evening when other tenants must have returned from work. This is to avoid bringing in a guy to service other tenants' wives when the husbands are at work.

Lol I can't forget my former crazy landlord, the man once told me to stop my gf from visiting me that each time he see her that he do loose guard. Eventually, the lady went for her youth service and stopped coming. Generators were not allowed overnight, it has to be off latest by 12midnight. Fast forward to a year the landlady's son brought his wife and newborn twins home from the States. They (landlady and son) were now putting on gen overnight. As if the tenants did meeting, they just started using theirs too overnight one by one (what's good for the goose is good for the gander). When they left, people refused to go back to that yeye rule.

Even as an intending tenants, you are suppose to ask questions, cos it's always good to know all these things before paying for an apartment. so that you don't inherit outstanding phcn bill and the likes. People are mostly and always in a hurry to get an apartment especially if the house is Behind without knowing first the terms and conditions.

We had the best land lord and land lady back then. They both had beautiful daughters and handsome sons .( Same age as ours) we were the only tenants tho at a 3 bedroom while they occupied the 4 bedroom upstairs..they were Muslims while we were Christians.we all lived like one big happy family.no rules .we all got admission to the uni same period. In was really a big family..we dey celebrate sallah n Xmas together..
We moved out after 3 years to the next street .same landlord advised our dad to buy a land around and build .now living in a 6 bed room apartment , behind our now ex landlord n lady.....till today we still visit each other .parents to parents , children to children....there are still good people Sha.

We have two tenants downstairs , no rules , nothing..same love and kindness we got are the same love and kindness we showing to our tenants. So tenant wan dey isolate themselves but folks go tell them.cmon let live families, feel free but pay ur billls lol
