How do I get my SMS already pasted on my old phone to appear on my new phone? Wait, let me explain it better.

Normally when they come in, my SMS gets automatically saved on my old phone, as part of phone storage. But recently that old phone started having flex and memory issues so I swapped it with this new one. Now, all my old messages are absent. And I have important messages I need to still be in possession of.

So I was wondering if I could maybe go to MTN and ask them to recall all my messages so I could get them stored on the new phone. Is it possible? Can it be done?

NB: the old phone is out of service.

If you did a backup on the old phone, once you insert your sim into the new phone all your contacts along with messages on the SIM memory would automatically appear on the new phone. If the messages are on the phone memory as you stated, I'm afraid to tell you that the messages wouldn't be accessable on the new phone unless you can find someone who can fix the old phone then extract the messages.
