Genesis 1:2 "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the deep.
3: And God said "Let there be light"

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. All things were made by him"

You just quoted john1:1 Can You read the same verse 10? I just noticed You only quote the verse that justify your claim,But put blind eyes to the rest,Please read Bible to the fullest, Jesus have a title, Lord God, As well As God and Lord himself.

The way Christians/bible brandish God is too ridiculous... God - 3 persons in one, God searching for Adam and Eve in the garden not knowing they have disobeyed, God spitting fire and smoke from his nose, Jacob wrestle with God, God threatened by the people of Babylon who were building a tower and most ridiculous is God requiring innocent blood before he can forgive...

No sane person will settle for this type of God.

That same Hebrew chapter 1 clearly stated that Almighty GOD called none but Jesus Christ 'GOD'. My brother, on what basis should we argue further? Remember, it was written in quotes to buttress the fact that Almighty GOD is speaking.
We are not the author. We met the holy book and believe. So it is an undermine to our integrity to argue the obvious written and established facts.
Meanwhile, I acknowledge your contributions because it really shaped ours learning and knowledge.
Thank you for the humility you showed by acknowledging my contribution.
What I hope to established is that being called a god doesn't mean you deserve our worship. Many people human beings and spirit creatures were called God even by Jesus (Jehovah in the old testament also recognise their were idols called god's), but to christians and followers of Jesus, there is only one almighty God we are to worship.
This almighty God is distinct from and superior to Jesus. Can you imagine Satan tempting the almighty God? No. But he tempted Jesus, he wanted Jesus not to betray himself (which is impossible) but to betray God almighty. But happily, Jesus responded to one of his temptation, where Satan asked for worship, by telling Satan to be gone! That it is almighty Jehovah alone that should be worshiped.
To now go back to the question that brought about this; it is Jesus, the chief worker, that God was corresponding with when he said "let us make man in our image..." Angels too where witness to the world's creation as job made us know. However, angels too infact all other things where created by Jesus through the help and authorisation of Jehovah God almighty

You are confused .

The Bible says in :

Genesis 1:26 KJV
And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

It is clear from the above scripture that someone was with God when He was about to create Adam and the instruction was simple LET US CREATE .

Whoever that person was , can not be anything but a CREATOR like God the speaker .

Jesus was able to create a new hand , eyes and give life to the dead. Who could give life other than God ?

If it were the angels that God was speaking to , the they would have been referred to as our Gods . It would then not be a sin to worship them , since they are our Creators . Fortunately they are not. That is why it is a sin to worship angels .

There is one appellation of God that says alpha and omega meaning the first and the last that's the humble and pride that's God... Now "let us create a man in our image" now they created man and woman meaning the host God was talking were male and female, and these are the first children of God... The word "let us" mean the humility of God to carry His subjects (sons) along... God is talking to the host of heavens...

I presume God's statement (come lets make man in our own image) in the book of "Genesis" was directed to Christ and possibly the holy spirit which is a proof for the doctrine of trinity...

Anyway if there's a contrary probative opinion with cogent evidences, am ready to learn and be corrected.

He's talking among Him, His son and Holy Spirit.
He's three in one, one in three. The Trinity.
He's not talking to angel cos he doesn't take advice from angel on what to do, nor does he share his glory with any angel.

I want a clarification from you to be sure of your stance really, because in truth there are actually different trinitarian theologies.
Is he equal with God the Father? Is he of the same age? Does he have a beginning. Was he created? Is he of equal authority with God.
Many trinitarians offer a very unnatural and confusing picture that, Trinity doesn't contain three persons but one person in different dimensions. If this is your take? Stephens vision rubbishes that. But answer those questions if it's not your take
He's equal in ATTRIBUTES with God the Father but He's not the Father. If you know him, you have known the Father cos the Father gave him free role to operates in ALL his attributes

Jn 10:29-30

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all c ; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

He was actually speaking to Jesus Christ.
We know this because Bible says that Jesus Christ is the image of the invicible God and the first born of all creation( that is everything that God created), and he joined his father in creating everything both in heaven and on earth (Colossians 1:15-17).
Jesus also confirmed that in (Proverbs 8:22-31) he was there when his father was creating everything.
So it was Jesus Christ and nobody else that Jehovah God was actually speaking with because he was the only one that joined his father in creating everything including the Angels.

Jehovah God was apparently referring to himself and his only-begotten Son when he said: “The man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad.” (Genesis 3:22) Let us consider why.

Jehovah said these words after pronouncing sentence upon the first human couple. Some have taken the expression “one of us” as the plural of majesty, just as a human king might say “we are not pleased” when referring only to himself. With regard to Genesis 1:26 and 3:22, however, Bible scholar Donald E. Gowan says: “There is no support in the O[ld] T[estament] for most of the proposed explanations: the royal ‘we,’ the deliberative ‘we,’ the plural of fullness, or an indication of a plurality of persons in the Godhead. . . . None of these explanations makes much sense in 3:22, which speaks of ‘one of us.’”

Could Jehovah have been referring to Satan the Devil, who had come to decide “good and bad” on his own and who had influenced the first humans to do the same? That is not reasonable. Here Jehovah used the expression “one of us.” Satan was no longer among the throng of Jehovah’s faithful angels, so he could not have been included with those who were on Jehovah’s side.

Was God referring to the faithful angels? We cannot say definitely. However, the similarity of the expressions at Genesis 1:26 and 3:22 gives us a clue. At Genesis 1:26, we read that Jehovah said: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness.” To whom was he addressing these words? Referring to the spirit creature who became the perfect man Jesus, the apostle Paul said: “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth.” (Colossians 1:15, 16) Yes, it seems logical that at Genesis 1:26, Jehovah was speaking to his only-begotten Son, the “master worker,” who was at his side during the creation of the heavens and the earth. (Proverbs 8:22-31) The similarity of the expression at Genesis 3:22 suggests that Jehovah was again speaking to the one closest to him, his only-begotten Son.

God’s only-begotten Son apparently had knowledge of “good and bad.” From his long and intimate experience with Jehovah, he certainly learned well his Father’s thinking, principles, and standards. Convinced of his Son’s acquaintance with these and loyalty to them, Jehovah may have granted him some latitude in handling matters without direct consultation with Him in each instance. So the Son would to this extent be able and authorized to determine what was good and bad. However, unlike Satan, Adam, and Eve, he did not set up a standard that conflicted with Jehovah’s

Jesus is God

There are so many scriptures that counters this claim. Below are some of them

Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

John 16:23
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

John 5:19
Yahushua gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

John 12:49
For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.

John 7:16
Yahushua answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

John 8:26
“I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”

John 6:65
He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”

Mathew 16:16-17
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

17 Yahushua replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

John 14:6
Yahushua answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

.
.
Before you jump and criticise, the above scriptures are red letters. I mean that's what Christ himself said. We must choose one, it's either you believe Christ whom you claim to follow his footsteps or you believe and follow your church leaders leading you to destruction.

.

Acts 7:55
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Yahushua standing at the right hand of God.

Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”

Romans 1:1-3
1 Paul, a servant of Yahushua, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— 2 the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life[a] was a descendant of David,

Matthew 8:29 (The devil recognised him).
29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”

Matthew 26:63-64 (Under oath)
63 But Yahushua remained silent.

The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”
64 “You have said so,” Yahushua replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”[a]

2 John 3
3 Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Yahushua, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

.
.
Can God stand at the right hand of God?

Revelation 5:7
He (Christ) went and took the scroll from the right hand of him (God) who sat on the throne.

.
Hebrews 1:1-4
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

In conclusion: Christ is the son of God, not God himself.

God is not a single being. God is a duality according to the main version of the Hebrew Bible. (First creation story) it referred to God as Elohim which is a plural word.

So there has to be another person in the picture. Just like a fusion of male and female.

Because if God is male alone how did he come up with the female version? Putting in consideration that he said let us create man in "our" own image.

I strongly believe that he referred to his female counterpart. Father, son and holy spirit. Who is the holy spirit? Male or female? There can't be 2 males and a son. It's not possible right?

By the way the character of the holy spirit is more feminine if you look into it deeply.

The bible wasn’t written originally in English. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and no Jew believe this to mean God is speaking to anything or anyone. The word “us” is a plural of respect. It is common in seminitic languages. Just like the Yoruba used to say “ Eh” for plural and “Eh” sometimes is used when talking to elderly person. The English language doesn’t have the exact translation for such Plural of respect hence the English bible translate it to “us”. God is one and he created everything all by himself. The Christians scholar deliberately interpret it to explain thier doctrine of trinity. No Jew understood that verse to mean plurality because the original is in Hebrew and they understand thier language. Jesus said “ Hear O Israel the lord our God is one” and same is the first commandment given by Moses. Trinity is a church teaching and not biblical.

Re: Who Was God Referring To, When He Said Come Let's Make Man In Our Own Image? by Memyselfu2009(m): 3:18pm On Dec 06, 2020
Lets create man in our own image

Point 1: That was Jehovah God talking to Jesus Christ how to we know that Colossians 1:15 made it clear that Jesus was the first creating.

Point 2: Jehovah God was not created no one knows God's origin he has no be Revelation 4:11

Revelation 22:13 This verse acknowledge Jehovah God as the Alpha and the Omega the Beginning and the End.

Revelation 1:8 same with this verse

Revelation 4:11 Acknowledged Jehovah God as the creator of the universe, the creator of everything.

Point 3: Was Jesus Christ fully involved in creations i would say yes because the bible made it clear in John 1:3 and Colossians 1:16 - 17

Point 4: Then what role did the holy spirit play and what is really the holy spirt

The holy spirit is God’s power in action, his active force. (Micah 3:8; Luke 1:35) God sends out his spirit by projecting his energy to any place to accomplish his will.—Psalm 104:30; 139:7.

PONIT 5 The Holy Sprit is not a person and do not have a name.

The Bible gives the names of Jehovah God and of his Son, Jesus Christ; yet, nowhere does it name the holy spirit. (Isaiah 42:8; Luke 1:31) When the Christian martyr Stephen was given a miraculous heavenly vision, he saw only two persons, not three. The Bible says: “He, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand.” (Acts 7:55) The holy spirit was God’s power in action, enabling Stephen to see the vision.

POINT 6
John 16:7. John 14:16 and John 14:26 Jesus ask his father to send God holy spirit to his disciples before his date.

POINT 7 His Jehovah Jesus and the Holy Spirt all equal can we really say the doctrine of trinity is false

1. Many Christian denominations teach that God is a Trinity. However, note what the Encyclopædia Britannica states: “Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies.”

In fact, the God of the Bible is never described as being part of a Trinity. Note these Bible passages:

“Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.”—Deuteronomy 6:4.

“You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.”—Psalm 83:18.

“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.

“God is only one.”—Galatians 3:20.

Point 8. Jesus also know that There is someone greater than him if he is God was did also pray he would have told him disciples to pray to him. Take note of this verses

Matthew 26:39
And going a little way forward, he fell facedown, praying:a “My Father, if it is possible, let this cupb pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.

John 14 vs 28
28 You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.

1 Corinthians 15:27, 28
27 For God “subjected all things under his feet.”a But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’b it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things to him.c 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him,d that God may be all things to everyone.

Colossians 1:15, 16
15 He is the image of the invisible God,a the firstborn of all creation;b 16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible,c whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through himd and for him.

Bros, Genesis 1:27 "God created man in his own image,in the image of God He created him male and female" (Compare Matthew 19:4).

Bros, according to Genesis 1:27, quoted by Jesus Christ (Matthew 19:4), God is "He"/ His".

Bros , "He" (God) is how many spirits?
Is "His"/He" a reference to 3 (Triune)?

God, Yahweh "created the Universe THROUGH His Son" and "all the angels shouted for joy."

Yahweh created Man and the Universe THROUGH His Son, Jesus Christ in presence of heavenly angels.

"Let us make man" is a direct speech to all sons (angels) of God.
(Worthy of note: In the spirit realm, Jesus calls himself "Son", Paul calls him "Son" ,Rev 1:5-6. 3:5,12,21. Hebrew 1:1-2. Galatians 4:4)

Hebrews 1:1-2 and Job 38:4-7 throws away Trinitarian FRAUD of Genesis 1:26 into the dustbin.

John 1:1-3 (KJV)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

That meeting in the beginning was a meeting of the highest order of heaven. It involved the Three in one Person.

The Father, the Word (which later became flesh in Jesus) and the Spirit.

The Word and Spirit belongs to the Father and They were both instrumental in the Work He did in the beginning. The Word came out of His Mouth, and the Spirit performed the Word.

So when God said let Us make man in our Own image, the "Us" referred to Word and the Spirit which He used to make the things He made in the beginning.

He also used "let Us" in the Instance of the tower of babel, where the one language of the world was divided. It involved the same Word and the Spirit which He used to make things in the beginning, hence after the same Word was made flesh, and was multiplied after His death, and the Spirit of God performed the Word that had multiplied, they were able to speak in the one language that was divided because of the tower of Babel when God used the term, "let Us" as He did in the beginning.

God doesn't consult with the angels concerning any plans He has, He just makes decisions and gives them instructions to carry out. The angels weren't involved in the making of things in the beginning so God couldn't have been talking to them but those involved which was His Word and His Spirit.

God bless.

The Bible expressively reffered to him as the first born of all creation. The begotten.
Proverbs 8, made us understand that God formed him from the VERY beginning of his works.
He is said to be with God from the beginning because he is the first begotten. First created, the Bible said God then use him to create ALL OTHER things.
He being said to be one with God, isn't that he is the very God, it means he is United in purpose with God. In that very place that Jesus said he is one with God, he also said he is one with is disciples. In that context, we, barring any mischief recongnised the disciples ate United with him just like he is United with God. They are not one entity.
Jesus by his own testimony said , 'the father is greater than I am', in another place he said he can't do anything of his own accord that he gives what he gets from the father. And thank God you said God GAVE him free role.
The understanding we get from the Bible is that he is a worthy and perfect representative of his father. Just as people can say of a good son that manages is father's empire, 'that if you see Mr Balogun junior, you have seen his father, Balogun senior, they are in agreement. His father trust and support him. They are one'.
Re: Who Was God Referring To, When He Said Come Let's Make Man In Our Own Image? by Theboss100(m): 3:57pm On Dec 06, 2020
jesusjnr2020:

God bless.
Let me analyze that John 1:1-3. This text does not in any way support the fraud trinity. Three person does not make one God. Let me prove it to you people. In the beginning was the WORD which is the same as LOGOS. Which we all know is Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:15-20. He was the first thing created by God. God then used him to create everything both visible and invisible.
2. The WORD ( Jesus Christ ) was with God his Father.
3. And the WORD ( Jesus Christ ) was God. That's true. Pls read the following
1 Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

All things were created by Jesus Christ and without him, nothing would have be created.

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Falsehood of Trinity

Many people including this brother I am qouting believe in trinity which they say three persons make one God i.e God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
This is false as the Bible texts I stated earlier disproves it.
Let's go further. Bible texts
God said in the book of Isaiah

Isaiah 40:18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? 40:25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
Isaiah 46:5 To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

2. Jesus Christ collaborated with the above when he said his father is greater than he himself.

John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Conclusion
The final self explanatory text of the Book of books.
This is an even that happened during the baptism of Jesus Christ.
Only the wise will understand

Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The Holy Spirit is not a person but the active force of Jehovah. It's simply His Power. That's is why sin against the holy spirit is not forgiven. It's penalty is death.

And to tell you that devil has used his falsehood through his fake prophets, pastors etc to blind many. How can you believe in trinity when Jesus Christ himself always pray directly to his father when he was here on earth during his first advent Anything he does, he always acknowledge his Father. That's to show that God is greater than him.
May Jehovah have mercy upon His lost sheep. Amen
