Dreadlock69: What your opinion on this I used to have something similar when I was younger. Then it will occur when I was about to wake from sleep and on my back. It will feel as if somebody or something is pressing down on me and lifting any part of my body will be excindingly difficult, I will try to shout but nothing will come out of my mouth and if there is something like lantern or candle in the room, it will seem very far off but after a lot of struggling, it will gradually fades off. I never tell anybody nor have I ever associated it with any evil anything. Now, I am older and have not experienced it again. |

Been more than 10 years it happened to me last. When it happens, focus on moving one part of your body (for me, it was my arm). NOTE: Remove fear from your mind whenever it occurs 3 Likes 1 Share |

Vyolet: Once you start experiencing it, all you need to do is move your toes slowly and then fast, you will regain consciousness immediately. Beautiful excellent this is what I was scrolling to check if someone would say. I used to have same too but now I control it. Sleep paralysis happens when your mind is not settled before sleeping. Once it wants to start I start shaking my feet and I'll wake up settle my mind and sleep or say a prayer and sleep. Sleep paralysis can also be caused by fear, you don't want to sleep and you sleep trying to wake up at that point cause sleep paralysis 1 Like |

missimelda01: Sleep paralysis is very scary. The last time it happened to me was during my final year in school, I was stressed that period. It made me so scared that I couldn’t continue sleeping in the room, knocked on my neighbor’s door around 2am and told them someone wanted to kill me
I did my research the next morning, read about ways to prevent it from happening, I’ve been good since then. don't lie facing backwards when you want to sleep. like, you must face upwards(your ceiling) and not against your bed(backwards). 1 Like |

Sleep with on your right, don't sleep crossing your leg or faced down even if you're feeling cold. Recite Suratul Al-Nas, Suratul Al-Falaq and Suratul Ikhlas. When you're experiencing the sleep oppression, just struggle to recite Ayatul Qursiyyu.
Do your Askar whenever you're going to bed. |

such has happened to me, but it was the first and last time, I woke up, I can't move or breath properly, I was seeing figures like a spirit approaching me, then it was as if the spirit wants my body, all of a sudden it started to call spirits around our area, before it could finish I struggle out and I bound such spirits and demons trying to take possession of my body, I prayed and it never happened again, mind you this was the first and last experience 1 Like |

Dreadlock69: I created this topic in this section to get a wider audience please contribute if you have /had the experience Early my teenage years, I do have a female neighbor very close we play and do all things together both bad and good you know what I mean, most times she will sleep and her eyes will be open lying at her back ,I do mock her about this and laugh about it .she always say she can't control it that I won't understand that she see everything happening around her but can't move ,I'll be like how is it possible I don't believe you but she will say dreadlock69 you won't understand.though she really stressed herself sleeping late but she is very bright with her books my parents used her to mock me. However mine started when I was ss2 I could remember vividly well it happened one night I was sleeping all of a sudden something griped me I can't move I can't breath it was like something or someone inside the room was taking my life force out of me ,I'm very much aware of my environment but when it's stopped I be gasping for air and my heart will be racing ,this repeatedly happens every night at times worst and horrifying ,one night it happened again I was terrified and told my parents they told me nothing gonna happen that I should pray over it. "Omo nah just the beginning I dey see ooo" Later when I finish my secondary school I still experiencing it but ,this time round I can breath well but still see images .then I got my new phone I surfed the internet then I came across an article talking about this which seems to relate to what I experience then I made more and more research and findings which were scarying and calming.i remember one time I'd told my brother not to touch my phone strictly warning him then I slept off and the sleep paralysis started I woke up but can't do anything can't move ,can't talk just lifeless but I can see and I'm aware of what is going on in my environment and behold my brother was using my phone I was in anger but I can't do anything I just lay there lifeless with anger in me till it fades off thank his stars he went out before I regain consciousness Another experience was when I watching a horror movie it happened the again when I was having a nap I was so scared I just have to close my eyes not to see images. Later on I had full control over it and sometimes I transit from that state to lucid dreaming. Then I had a good work with all good amenities not stressful you can take a nap anytime you like , funny enough my partner experience it also I noticed the day he was sleeping but his eyes where open trying hard to move his body ,I just left him till it's fade off So one day I was having a nap in the bedroom my boss was calling me I could hear him but I can't move anything just laying lifeless I was praying he should not catch me in this state . Sometimes I'll have to call my partner but he is still in that state but I have to wake up,which he do wake up looking frightened. I just learned how to lived with it cause I can't do anything bout it and feel for people who experience this but don't know how to manage it Probably transit from that state to lucid dreaming Maybe someday I'll have to tell my spouse or someone to close to me to not get frightened if they see me like that maybe a girlfriend, a wife ,my child I can't say for now What your opinion on this Don't stress bro I used to have sleep paralysis to when I was in secondary school. It's probably due to all the stress we underwent at that particular period. What made mine special is that after a while it just stopped. Like it just never happened again and I am very grateful for that. |

What you are experiencing is not just completely natural, its also a great ability. You just don’t understand how to utilize it yet. Your fear in those states limits you. There’s absolutely nothing demonic about it. I could show you scientific proven methods to utilize it for good of yourself and your society if you are interested. |

This is serious. I just discussed my experience with sleeping paralysis as well with my colleagues today. At first I was just talking about it didn't even knee it was sleeping paralysis. It happened back then in my final year in school. I was awake my eyes couldn't open and I couldn't move any part of my body and was struggling to breath. I stayed with family friends back then they even told me they tried waking me up shouted my name and even poured water in me yet I didn't wake at that moment I didn't even realize what was happening to me all I knew was I was struggling move any body part... suddenly i was relieved....it should I say released..... |

dimexy247: First of all, your use of English is highly poor.
Secondly, sleep paralysis is not spiritual but watch Mr righteousness as he comes to tell you how far away you've been from God and that you need deliverance. That guy can spew rubbish.
Sleep paralysis is a situation where you are awake but the muscles that controls us during REM which prevents us from acting out our dream is not fully active.
Thirdly, what kind of a weird job do you have that allows you sleep in a bedroom? That's loud.
The fourth, you're not even experiencing total sleep paralysis, seems to me like you're half-experiencing sleep paralysis and possibly need to get your brain checked, maybe you're suffering from narcolepsy.
