mattfeuter:2 + 2 = Ogbono Soup They played the team that qualified and so? Was it the same team that eliminated the Bucks and Celtics that played the Final? 2 of their best 3 players missed majority of the series so how can any self respecting person call that a tough ring. Pele oh. You wey play basketball and you're here arguing with a random what does that say of you? They played in a damn resort sleeping in the same beds and not having to deal with the strain of travel. You have guys like Dirk who swept Kobe, beat KD, Harden and Russ, Beat prime Bron and Wade, you have Olajuwon who won the title as a 6th seed. And someone is selling BS that this Mickey mouse ring is the toughest in history and you lot are playing yes men 1 Like |

When LeBron talked of 2020 ring being the hardest, I'm sure we know he wasn't talking about on court difficulty. But go ahead, play dumb. |

A40: How is that lebrons fault that they couldn’t stay healthy? If I remember correctly, Lebron lost a final because his number 2 was injured, did the loss counted Against his Finals record or not? Talking about shifting the goal post lol. Sit this one out fam The Goat is 4 in 6, about to be 5 in 6, Now run tell that. . . . . . . |

A40: Toughest championship in terms of all the troubles, twists and turns and deaths and pains of 2020. Kobe, Corona, league shut down as Lakers peaked, many people die, you don't know if you are next, bubble proposed, key Lakers players opt out or threaten to (AVB and Dwight), Rondo injured, Dwight finally opts in, bubble starts, Lakers are playing shitty basketball, Lebron not in form at all, AD too, AVB sorely missed, Lakers 3s not falling, title hopes now shaky, Lakers no longer favorites, bubble progresses, Lakers begin to play better, Lebron and AD begin to find their form, Black Lives Matter boycott hits the bubble, players threaten to walk away from the bubble, days and days of uncertainty as negotiation continues, bubble resumes, Lakers progress to the finals, Lakers win the Championship. A40, you need to understand the psychological toll these stories can take on the minds of athletes and why Lebron would say that. Of course, it's possible you are saying all these to score cheap points. 2 Likes |

Comma still dey. Then again una Laker boys, E don do na, we know say una don win, e don do, the new season is almost upon us, make una allow us concentrate na. Congratulations to you guys, una ring na una own, we no collect am. lol. @steady, I watch the game yesterday and that Horton-Tucker kid is legit. I thougt he was someone with experience until I checked him out today and saw he is only 20. The guy na baller and his confidence is something to really commend. Trez too was massive last night, I still believe Clippers bleeped up letting him go to the Lakers, he'll deffo be huge for you guys. Without Bron, this team goes nowhere, lets hope baba stays healthy all season, but I doubt it sha. From what I saw last night, Clippers will struggle without Kawhi and PG, even with them, they will struggle this season. Ibaka didn't play much last night but he is a solid addition with the little we saw. I sha don port. Did anyone watch the Blazers game? That team will cause problems this season, they just have to stay healthy. 1 Like |

KNIGHTBlaed:If people can beat their chest and call the ring a Micky mouse ring, then LeBron is beating his chest and calling it the toughest ring of all time. It's called "do me, I do you, man no go vex." Yea, Horton-Tucker is a legit NBA player. Can handle the ball, can drive to the rim, decent shooter, got a mad wingspan for his size, and is strong as hell. Of course there's still some polishing to do but we can see the talent is there. Should play an important role this year.

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:49pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
DeeMain:Naa this is a fraudulent narrative to make. Everybody dealt with Kobe and Corona. The league was shut down as the Lakers peaked? Are you conveniently forgetting that a LeBron who is in his 17th season got a 4 months rest and got energized for the playoffs. How can you call Avery Bradley and Dwight Howard key players FFS. What kind of dishonest narrative is this? The Clippers had to deal with their two best players who averaged 35 ppg combined in the regular season entering the bubble with drama and not wanting to be part of the bubble and you're talking of Bradley and Dwight. Fear God ohhhh!! The Heat faced the Lakers for more than half the series without their two best players. The truth is these players are spoiled and babied. Boohoo. Imagine whining because you are cooped up in a literal Fantasyland able to do your job and get paid top $ for it. Meanwhile in the real world people are lining up for Kilometres because they can't get stimulus checks, need food and can't get jobs. Psychological toll indeed 1 Like |
Re: The NBA Begins by DeeMain(m): 8:37pm On Dec 12, 2020 |
A40: A40, you are the dishonest one. Lebron entered the bubble struggling with form. Nothing was working for him. For someone like him, bearing the Lakers' championship hopes and his own and the weight of such expectations on his shoulders, not being able to find his form was unacceptable and it would definitely have cost him and the Lakers the Championship. Once Lebron could not find his form in the bubble, there were doubts he would find it before being eliminated. There were questions of whether father time had finally caught up with him during the break. There were worries that because of his age it would take him time before he recovers his form. These were legitimate doubts. Meanwhile, the knock out stages of the playoffs were knocking and neither Lebron, AD or the Lakers could find any rhythm. To tell you the truth I was scared and had my doubts that he could still find it in him during the bubble. Those things happen and I am sure that as his play suffered increasingly and his shots were not falling in that he would have moments of doubts and fears questioning if he can still find it in him before the Lakers were knocked out. For a superstar and 'saviour' of his team to not be in form during the playoffs and not know when it would come, that would be scary as hell for most people. And Lebron had never been in this kind of quagmire before. He usually primes himself to peak just before and during the playoffs. So him saying this was his toughest ring is in order. I believe him. He and the Lakers could easily have lost this championship. That's the truth. 1 Like |

DeeMain:This is a bad joke. Struggling with what nonsense form? The Lakers entered the bubble with first seed secured and were just faffing around till the playoffs proper began. With a 4 month break midseason and nothing to play for it would be dishonest to suggest that nothing was working for a team that had nothing to play for. Stop blowing this fallacy. If anyone was under pressure it was the Clippers who dealt with their two key players entering the bubble with drama. I don't know why you people just lie unprovoked DeeMain: What is this dangerous lie? Who was eliminating them? Where were the doubts coming from. If we are talking about LeNomad haters then that is par for the course but even you don't believe this lie you just spewed above DeeMain:They had nothing to play for. They were coasting!! DeeMain:Lol more and more long winded lies DeeMain:LeNomad's last two games going to the playoffs he scored 29 and 31pts. All you people do is lie You can believe what you want to believe. Far be it from me to tell Bronsexuals what to believe. I'm only amused by the needless lies and narratives being put out purely from a place of insecurity. If he says that's the toughest ring in his career that's not my concern. When he says history then all well meaning basketball fans have to call cap |

DeeMain: He knows, he just likes to dog Lebron lovers, it gets under his skin. I dig the psychological trauma of isolating that long in the bubble. Lou Williams took a leave of absence to see his sick grandma, only to be spotted at Magic strip club. He claimed he went there for the wings Im sure many other players snuck out just to get some relief and did not get caught. The two teams to me that looked like they were able to keep composure the most in the isolation was Lakers and surprisingly the young Nuggets. I credit the coaches of both teams, hard nosed, tough, almost psycho personalities seemed to steady their teams. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:08am On Dec 13, 2020 |
birdman:Loool you people are so dishonest. Jesu Kristi. How can someone boldly come here to claim the Lakers were in trouble and out of rhythm going into the playoffs when they were already assured of the #1 seed even if they went 0-7 in the bubble and would be facing sub .500 teams in the first round. Someone boldly came here to lie that LeNomad couldn't find his form. Someone that had a 29-12 game and averaged 30 pts the final two games he played before playoffs. Haba!! The Clippers and some of the other teams just displayed extreme entitlement and lack of discipline. What psychological megedefegede can they be going through that would compare to what people are dealing with in the real world? health workers seeing people die and getting underpaid and overworked. They had a 4 month break to spend time with their family and all of a sudden claiming psychological trauma when you get to play in a freaking resort with your teammates and comrades. Divas that's what they are |

Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 7:40am On Dec 13, 2020 |
A40: Go back and check. The team that started the playoffs had not played together all season. Rondo was just back from injury, no one expected much from him. Avery, the best on-ball defender refused to join the team. They were 50-50 in the bubble with several losing streaks. They were not the favorites, the clippers were. You all know this. and if you doubt it, google it. Many even doubted they could get past blazers. Charles Barkley was predicting sweep and first game in playoffs. |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 7:44am On Dec 13, 2020 |
KNIGHTBlaed: Wait, let me ask you, is Lebron not 35? How easy is it to win finals MVP at 35? Compared to 4, 5 years ago Like I told A40, at the start of the playoffs, Clippers were the favorite. Lakers had lost several games in a row, the guy who was supposed to defend Kawhi was not in camp, and Rondo looked slow coming off injury. Unknown Caruso carried the PG load early on. Even though they were #1 seed playing the #8 blazers, they were expected to lose because post-covid they were a 0.5 team with injuries. Yall forgot TNT crew not sure LAkers could beat blazers after game 1 playoffs? Chuck predicting a sweep? Haba, you guys fear God! |
Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:26am On Dec 13, 2020 |
Are you kidding? So you take Chuck's predictions seriously? . He could argue it's his toughest ring for all we care but saying it's the toughest in history, that's bullshit. The pandemic affected everyone so that evens the playing field. The lakers were not the only ones hit by the pandemic. I dare to say there's at least 10 rings that were harder. But honestly just using the word one of the "toughest" is kind of vague though. I mean i could say it's the 15th on the toughest list, but well it's still on the list. . But given his history i would assume he means 1st or 2nd. But again that's bullshit. . And infact i don't think he thought about all the other rings since the advent of the NBA. Perhaps it's just a subjective and emotional submission. After all he's human. Now nobody knows if he was just too excited then or he actually meant it, unless he's clarified it somewhere else. birdman: 1 Like |

birdman:What is it about LeNomad that makes you fans feel the need to lie without remorse? What were the Lakers starting 5 in the regular season and playoffs? Only one player was missing. 1 player. A washed Avery Bradley that you lot are here trying to paint like he was Gary Payton The single most important game in the bubble before the playoffs which they didn't have to win but did anyway was against these same Clippers. How can you come out here and claim the Lakers were not the favorites. Why are you people lying? Charles Barkley is a well known jester. Who takes that one serious? Why will any competent basketball analyst claim the Lakers won't get past the Blazers? Who on this thread predicted that? Stop lying!!!

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:51pm On Dec 13, 2020 |
