A Nigerian lawyer, Arinze Amobi said he would prefer to marry and spend his life with a teachable, respectful and submissive illiterate than spend a day with a disrespectful literate, IgbereTV reports.

Amobi, who stated this on Facebook on Saturday December 19, said most sincere men will agree with him.

He wrote:

To me the expression "submissive teachable" should be used at the place of work between employers and employees. Using it between couples suggests a lot. I'm in total support.Headaches,needless stress emotional and psychological imbalance, etc would be avoided. Some may find this to be false but it's the gospel truth. They say divorce in the time of our parents and grandparents were not as rampant as they are today. Most of them were quite respectful and well-behaved

Only a few divorce cases happening that time were common among the so called educated ladies. Western education has its own disadvantage because women always want to see themselves at par with men so, they behave anyhow. Men of old were caring, respectful and not wife beaters. They loved their wives and both lived till old age.

The reverse is the case nowadays. Men would go out to fend for the entire family and yet, she still expects you to join her in the kitchen to cook after providing the money. If at all you wish to join her, its because you wish to and not by compelling you.
