At 87 Hubble Brown remains one of the best basketball commentators I have listened to, by far one of the most intelligent keepers of the game. Listening to his hoarse voice as he battles through the game makes me realize that only Father Time is undefeated. I hope he is okay.

Indeed. I love hearing him and the late Silas talk

We are trying to force the game with dribble penetration. Move the ball.. move the ball..

Okay Kyrie! I see you!!!

How though? Based on what you've seen so far (it's only two games) or based on the additions they made?

I watched part of tonights game and it looks the same. Other than Holiday, im not sure who else they added. But Holiday is active on defense and is legit threat on offense. The defense is much better.

Again I can see Giannis has put some work in. On the double and triple teams, he has more composure. Either he finds the right teamates, or takes a high pct shot instead of just running at the basket. He isnt smooth at it yet, but I bet its just early season cobwebs.

Even scarier I see him attempting some back to the basket footwork. I don't expect him to become Olajuwon in one year, but this could really open up the lanes for his teamates if he gets half good at it. It would also separate him from the marcus smarts of the nba that try to confuse him in the paint.

Still early though, but I like what see. Or maybe Im a Giannis fan and I see too much into 2 games grin

Hubbie comments like he is coaching... You learn a lot of basketball tactics listening attentively to him.

Kyrie dey para. This duo will cause some real problems in this league health permitting

I don tire to shout “Move the ball”. Brad shot selection especially Tatum.. Move the ball for a better shot.. Too much hero ball here..

With Klay injured you think we really stand a chance in the wild west? I done talk am before. What do you people expect from the Warriors this season? Best is we finish 7th or 8th seed with a healthy Steph and Draymond and that's if Wiggins can act as a poor man Harrison Barnes. With Klay's absence, Curry's lack of any sense of urgency (including Steve Kerr) and poor individual offense is why I don't expect anything from the team this season. Who else can score on that team? No one except Curry. Abeg, tank this season and don't give us false hope.
No even with Klay back I didn't consider you guys favorites for some reason. I'd still put y'all behind the Lakers and Clippers out West

I think it's rather early to talk about tanking considering you guys are neck deep in luxury tax territory. You guys had to face 2 top 5 teams in the league on the road. Alarm bells would really start to ring when you start losing to the Hornets and the Cavs etc.

You're right on the scoring aspect though Wiseman already is looking like a bona fide stud. However I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to have both Oubre and Wiggins in one squad. These are literally the most inefficient high volume shooting wings in the game that give you nothing else when their shots don't fall.

They lost Eric Bledsoe and added Holiday. To me that's a like for like on defence. So I don't really know if they improved on that end.

You won’t see Kyrie’s critics and naysayers now.. Imagine he had a horrible start to the season, you would see them come and tell you he is an Iverson wanna-be and a street basketballer who is lucky to win a chip. Na so!!!

I agree. I may be reading too much into Holidays effect.

Kyrie doesnt really have naysayers. Other than lebron haters that have a pathological hate for the guy, i cant think of any player in this era people really hate. There are annoying guys people love to see get a come uppance, but by and large people love kyrie, even if they wish he would talk less. Most people dont have the hate to be following players every game hoping they fail. I for one wish Kyrie and Durant well.

I vehemently disagree with your post. This thread is littered with posts that vilify Kyrie and undervalue his worth to the NBA including his All star status.

Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:41am On Dec 26, 2020
Good runout from the boys. Need some more conditioning though, and the defence could do better. Those will come as the season goes on I believe.

P.S. Montrezl Harrell hit three mid range jumpers tonight smiley. That's right, 3. If he adds that to his game then he's going to be deadly.

Is it Jrue a
Holiday you people are talking about? Please don't mention him in the same sentence with Bledsoe. That is disrespectful.

A40 sha. Who in their right senses will put us as favorites ejo? I like to be realistic. Wuth a healthy Klay and Draymond, I would have been confident that we could do some damage but definitely not favourites. Did Lakers and Clippers die?

This is definitely not true and birdman is right.

I’ve said it over and over, Kyrie is Kyries problem.

-It was Kyrie who was trying to sway the players not to go into the bubble knowing fully well that he wasn’t eligible to be there in the first place.

- it was Kyrie who went on a podcast and said KD is the only other guy he thinks he’s clutch when we all know that’s a direct shade at lebron.

- it was Kyrie who threw his team mates under the bus in Boston.

- it was Kyrie who said at one point, before they hired steve Nash that they do not need a coach. He said he can do some coaching and so can KD. grin

- it was Kyrie who choose not to speak to the media, calling them pawns. (You know it never ends well when you take a shot at the media)

When you do or say these things, you’re meant to have a reaction.

I don’t think anyone is trying to vilify him or undervalue his worth to the NBA.

We all know he’s special.
