Hello guys i have a btech in computer science with a cgpa of 2.3. I was thinking i could go for PG diploma but the agent I'm planning on using is saying i can't, that i must have a cgpa of at least 2.5. And i can only go for an advanced diploma. Is she correct? and does that show a career progression?

Hi Guys,
Good day to everyone here and a big thank you for the information you've shared and the advised you've given. I have taken my time to go through the previous thread and I can say I have learnt a-lot.

So here's my situation.

I'm about rounding up my BSC programme (Environmental Science and Resources Management) at National Open University this January.

But I want to apply for 2 years Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism at Nova Scotia Community College - NSC, the reason for this course is because over the past five years I have been working in multi-national news media organisations and I have grown a passion for journalism.

My monthly salary presently is almost 400k and I have been investing it on a building project so I do not have any good amount of money in my account. The property if sold can fetch me close to 8mil. I'm 30 years old, single, no kids.

I have someone who can stand has a sponsor, she's has a company and cash inflow is not less 30 million. She's not related to me, she was my former boss who has turn like an aunt to me.

How do you advice I proceed with my application?

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP WITH THIS
As long as the account belongs solely to your sponsor then you have nothing to worry about. The issue is not just about the money, but how accessible it is to you(the applicant)

Good day house.

I've read every single thread - from Part 1 - and I believe I have a good grasp of the application process.

I plan to apply for a PGD to resume in September. But the issue is my Proof of Funds. My account statement is not that great but I plan to start building it now till June.

Which means I can only apply for Visa in June. What's the likelihood of getting a visa within that time frame?

Is is advisable I just push it till next year (2022)

Thanks.

Please, someone should respond smiley

Yes you can,

but you gotta package your Application to show you are going to be a best fit for the PG. Cert program you wanna go for despite having a 3rd class

Do refer to this post

Possible Solution/Way for a 3rd class Graduate to get Admission for a PG. Cert program in a College

Advanced Diploma is lesser to a B.Tech/B.SC, so I think your agent is totally wrong on this.

Be careful of the kind of agent you use, so as to avoid stories that touch.

With the Resources on this forum, I feel you can D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself)

Nah, am not so sure about this. She can only go for an advanced diploma.

My suggestions, let her do hnd, then apply for pgc/pgd...

Thank you

Hello SwayB,

The best bet is a PGD/C or Post-Baccalaureate program. Almost all colleges are after your paycheck not your grade.

Good evening house,

I am trying to fill the arrival form for Memorial University as I intend to travel around 29-31st of January. I noticed it is essential to have an accommodation to move into after the isolation period.

Kindly help if you're at the St. John campus and you have a shared apartment available, or you are going there and hoping to share. I'm on a tight budget of 300cad-400cad.

Thanks
Regards

Hello Blackyshadow,

You may want to consider going for a PGD/C in lieu of a Diploma. The reason you gave for the program choice is flimsy. Academically, for graduates, PGD/C and PBC is more of a progressive (professional) bridge to a Diploma.

Secondly, Only use 'the' auntie if you can convincingly and evidently show proof of relationship.

Unless you intend to liquidate the property, its usefulness will come resourceful in demonstrating your home ties. As a matured applicant with work experience, its of essence you're able to show some amount as gainful earner. It will also add vigor to your employment circumstances and financial advantage.

Best of Luck

Hello MerryCoke,

I believe either your post had missed the capable eyes of the house or it wasn't answered due to the nature of the query.

This is just an opinion–my opinion, if you intend to build your account till June from today, ensure the transactional inflows are always consistent or little above the usual recorded inflow history. Lump sum deposit or funds lodgement is a big sin in this part of the world.

If clearly you understand well you have insufficient funds for the study and/or visa purpose, 2022 may just be the best idea.

If feasible, get a related sponsor. This visa thingy is always very blurry from afar. When you jump in the train, you may then know the destination.

Hello Englois,

You can use it. However, ensure every details like the TRF number, Date, Details of the Testing Body and whatnots on your profile to be clearly visible.

The test result is always subject to verification whether or not is the hard or soft copy.

He needs a doc that shows that he is the owner of the company (the company name on the CAC) doc. So they know that he owns the company. After that, he can use his personal account. There’s no rule that says one must use company accounts.

Ps: There is a document from CAC that lists out the owners of a company (I can’t remember the name). I know this because I submitted my sponsor’s own when I did my application. You can attach that, the company’s CAC doc and his personal bank statement.

Cheers

In Cameroon it’s called Registre de commence

Good evening everyone, if one is going for a post secondary certificate in a Canadian college, is that applicant eligible for a NSE processing or it has to be a post graduate cert or diploma.

This is the immigration card available at the airlines counters and/or immigration posts in the Nigerian airport you will depart from. Before you are cleared to exit the country, you must fill out and submit this form. Don't confuse it with the health (vaccination) "yellow card".

Thanks once again.
