Whilst it's good to engage these people sometimes for the fun of it, there is really no basis to compare Benin history with any of their histories. Even the Fulani that took over from were Benin stopped are still centuries behind the over 400 years historical achievements of Benin. What is there to debate with these guys other than to engage in a deliberate exercise that will only result to insults.

How do someone whose history is filled with eyewitness evidence since 1400s engaged someone whose eyewitness historical accounts began in 1824 when they first got their European visitor.

It's like someone wearing white outfits engaging in a mud fight in a gutter with someone putting on nothing, these guys have nothing to loose and will only end up robbing mud all over you.

They have absolutely nothing to showcase from 1400 to 1800, over four hundred years. It's easier to pour sand in someone else's garri when you have none, for this simple reason, historical debate between Benin and these people can never be a fair debate, it cannot be anything serious other than pure exercise for entertainment.

It's like Nigeria criticising Germany for making a Mercedes Benz that get damage in an accident, when Nigeria itself cannot manufactured a bicycle spoke. Talk is cheap

He was royal, but we never knew his royalty was of benin heritage, flashing back i could recall how he once told us his father wish was to have them school in benin, and not somewhere else like Europe which he could afford

The greatest archievement of the colonial admnistration was to devide Benin into several groups which are now seen as "minorities".
But when they come back together, which these 2 so called majorities are afraid of, they become the majority with a large margin.

I had a similar experience with a son of a reigning Oba of Lagos those days. In Benin too. I heard from him about his Benin heritage and why his father wanted him educated in Benin. I mentioned this years ago here on Nairaland already.
Look, those who jump online to denigrate other people's history are efulefu, Oloriburuku and total nobodies where they come from. This is their only source of joy: an anonymous forum.

Don't waste your time. Those who matter know where they come from originally. They are prepared for that role partly by assimilating Benin norms through residency or education in Benin and help from the Palace.

You did a lot of good works, we have both had arguments in the passed and we don't allways agree on how to approach things, but you have done a great work. Don't delete the account. Abandone it if you may, but if you delete it, a lot of the work would become harder for people to see.
Under hystoryworld account for example, I was basically schooling a lot of these lunatics as if they were toddlers (4 years ago). Since I deleted the account, it is hard to get to those comments.
