When we were kids and we fought, my mother will take both parties and wallop us senseless. By the end of the exercise, no one would be able to differentiate between the original winner and loser. At the end of the day, we realised that win or lose, we were both going to suffer the same way...my mother was always the end winner. So we stopped it. This method also seems effective.
