Congrats once again @charmmingcas we both submitted our passport to Abuja VFS today. We were informed at DHL office that we would need to provide a contact number at Abuja VFS before they could courier for us. We eventually sent it through UPS.

It was good to see you my fellow nairalander.

Tojeruky, a GCMS note tells you the perspective of the officer that reviewed your application. It’s mostly for those who have been refused or want to know the status of their application. If you are a first time applicant you don’t need it but if you have been refused a SP, it’s advisable to get it before reapplying.
tojeruky:
Thank you @Lekiboboe. I have googled what GCM notes are and here's the explanation I got;

The GCMS (Global Case Management System) is a system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to process immigration and citizenship applications. ... GCMS notes are considered to be the only option for applicants to get the most accurate and exhaustive view of their IRCC file.

Now for me that is going for a student visa, do I need this GCM? If yes, how does it work really?

Lekiboboe:

You are welcome,

This question has been answered already

The no 1. response which says

So you know that, it's the same way you will apply for the Regular Channel you will apply for the NSE route, the only difference is the way NSE route requires you to do Proof of Funds (POF) i.e MybankStatement Ticket having the required $30,000 CAD & the English test (IELTS) requirement

The only significant thing about NSE is the Mybank Statement Certificate/Ticket of the required POF & IELTS test (20 days processing time), but the regular channel you will have to scan your Sponsor's 6 months Bank Statement & you don't need IELTS (Presently 35 weeks processing time)

So While merging and uploading your Documents and this two NSE required documents are there, you have automatically given the Visa Officer the go ahead that you want your application to be processed via the NSE route.

I submitted my application without putting the mybankstatement along. But I have the document now. Can it still be possible to get the NSE route

Hi All,

I recently got admitted into Humber college for fall 2021 session. I’m currently gathering my documents for visa application and I plan to submit by early February but I was wondering/considering if paying the tuition now (9000+ CAD) and include the tuition payment receipt in my visa application would put me in a good chance of getting my visa approved.

Does paying tuition in full before submitting visa application visa have any additional benefit?

Please advice. Thanks

Please oooo, what is going on?! I applied for the study permit since November, and they responded in December 8, that I should provide mybankstatement and IELTS, and if I didn’t submit after 30 days they would proceed the normal way. January 8 expired the 30days ultimatum, but whenever I check my profile on the immigration platform, the status is still showing “your action is required”....and it has been like that since that time they asked for IELTS...is this normal? Who is also in this same shoes abeg, I don’t know what to do.

My story is a unique one, aside from the rejection reason of
Purpose of visit and family ties

I was diagnosed of tuberculosis, when I went for medicals at iom, I had to go to the hospital everyday for 8 solid months to take drugs.

In all, God is faithful

Applied again 7th October,

Got NSE REQUEST 26th November

Submitted NSE 8th December

But I submitted 6 months my bankstatement instead of 12 months. Was scared, LoL

But thank God and thank everyone here esp Hon Frank, This place is family.

Please how do go about to send it to vfs Abuja, no time to waste, school has started

And for the consent form, it can be filled with biro right?

Please sir, did you use NSE route (mybank statement) or normal statement of account.

I am asking for a case of someone who has $10,000 + tuition fees, but does not have up to $30,000 for NSE route. Can such person still submit the mybankstatement? (Please anyone can chip in)

Thanks in advance.

You are not alone on this. There are a couple of people here with the same issue and I am also one of them. You can also raise webforms and send mails to them about it like I did. I got a response saying my application is under review but I can’t say if it’s a generic response. Mine has been like that since the expiration of the NSE period on December 26.

Good morning,
Is having a fixed deposit of #5million enough as proof of funds

Also, who knows if Memorial University offers Master in Educational Leadership studies as on campus program rather than online, I've checked the website but story too much, and hope the school is not a red flag?

Lastly, I have my first degree in Education but presently working in a bank, but planned to apply for a Master in Educational Leadership.
Won't that be an issue with VO or I must go for business/Finance related course.

Please help me oooooooo

I just got my stamped passport now.
To God be the glory.
I sent my passport to Abuja on the 4th and it returned unstamped because I didn't pay transmission fee due to someone's advice that they will contact me to pay. They didn't instead they returned it. I had pay the transmission fee, pay couriers one way and paid #12570 to vfs for return.
My advice is that people should take note of this so that it won't happen to them.
My application was refused 5 times , my admission expired 2 times, I kept hope alive .
I went to court for judicial review and won.

Finally it ended in praise . Don't give up hold onto your dream with clean hands and clean .
May God bless you all.

Gurus in the house, pls I need your help in explaining something to me.

Traveling using the NSE route, one of the requirements is 30,000 Cad. My question now is that, this 30,000 cad, will it be in my account or my sponsor account?

Either of the two is acceptable. In essence, it can be in your account if you're self-sponsored or in your sponsor's account in the case that you're being sponsored.

Hello,

Just to be clear a screenshot like the one attached...showing reference number and name should be enough to submit if I can't get my hardcopy on time or does any other information need to be shown?

What a great IELTS score to becoming a Permanent Resident of Canada. If i may ask, Do you've two or more degrees and working experience in any particular NOC? You can check your current CRS score to know if you qualify for the Express Entry Program. You can even be in the EE pool at same time pursuing your study permit. PR is much more better to study permit because you will have to pay lesser for tuition fees and medical insurance is available for free.

Hi everyone,

Please can someone advise on how best to pay school fees to a Canadian university.

Thanks

You can use Form A or Western Union Global Pay. I will recommend you check with the student financial services for instructions on how to carry out payment for your tuition fees.

Congratulations Esther on the approval of your study permit application. My sincere apologies for the delayed feedback from my email. I'll respond soon.

As per your enquiry, have you contacted IOM to be sure if there is any available space for you this January. Please be aware that your medical request in no way affect your passport request. Be proactive, check with IOM.

Hello @Frankrobbn1 Is the link above applicable to international students in canada with valid SP??

The link i shared is for Permanent Resident/Canadian Citizens to sponsor their spouse to become a permanent resident of Canada. The program is called Spousal Sponsorship. Since you've a valid study permit, you need to file for a Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) for your spouse to come to Canada. You can submit your application via the online route.

Otunba please can you advise me on this or Mr Frank and the pros on this page.

I have sent a mail to the bank to send me my bank certificate through my sponsor and the account officer only sent a mail typing in the ticket ID and send my sponsor should log in to his ibank and my acocunt to find the password for the embassy. This is for GT bank.

Please is that how it works because he sent a mail to the bank to send mybank certificate statement to the embassy and send him the eticket ID immediately after but the account officer claimed she sent it yesterday, the only think she sent is the ticket ID number. There's no proof from her end that shows my bank certifcate on it with the ticket ID. Please confirm if it's like this whenever one orders from bank, if not, how do we go about doing it if the sponsor has no online account and is not in the country. He can only send a letter in a mail authorizing the bank to do kit which I think was done wrongly now with the way she sent the ticket ID.

I need help asap please guys.

Thank you.

You can generate your MyBank Statement Certificate without hassle through your GTB Mobile App. Login to your mobile app and request for it. It will be sent to your email instantly. Advise your sponsor to download a GT mobile app, while you help him complete the task.

Good evening house, please I was refused visa this morning and the pictures below are the reasons they wrote on the letter, I already applied for my gcms notes and I was hoping you could help me out. Am a computer Engineering graduate but I applied for a post graduate certificate in project management.
The documents I submitted are;
.My sponsors statement of account (15m)
.Sponsor statement of shares and stocks
.4 certificate of occupancy and survey plans which belong to my sponsor
.school fees receipt
.sponsorship letter
. Affidavit of support
.sponsors drivers license
.Waec results
.nysc discharge certificate
.police character certificate
. My statement of purpose
. Birth certificate
. My Benin Republic residence permit (because I schooled there)
. Job offer letter
. Recommendation letter from my nysc employer.

Please sir I want to reapply anytime soon but I don’t know how to approach this

I regret to hear your study visa application was refused by the immigration of Canada.

Having reviewed your profile in its entirety and the supporting documents included in your last application, I can deduct that there is no progression in your academics, hence the visa officer's concerns on the basis of your purpose of visit to Canada. Why will a computer Engineering graduate be opting for a post graduate certificate in project management?.. This demonstrate to the immigration officer that you're using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada rather than educational advancement.

Please get me your GCMS notes and do well to share it on this platform so others can share their opinions.

Five Million is not sufficient for a Canadian Education as you would be required to show evidence of 10,000CAD for your living expenses.

Educational Leadership is offered by University of Regina. Please check it out.

It will be reasonable if you apply for a program that is in tandem with your current employment i.e if you've been in the banking industry for quite a long period of time.
