Am just a newbie into the crypto

For the sake of all the guys asking for my number, I’d drop my alternate number but please I do not teach, I can explain one or two things but I don’t know how to teach nor do I have the time to do so... I can however give one or two pointers... I do not take calls either...

Will it b profitable to trade NGN agst any crepto or fiats?

Trading naira against other fiat such as USD is mainly profitable when the naira depreciates or you have a better exchange rate.
For creepto, it can go both ways just like any investment. You can loose or gain

Alot of new folks make the mistake of putting most of their stash in ripple cos they think its cheap so easily relatable and they can own large amounts. I made such mistake and would advise against such.

This market flows on confidence and you'd want to go with what people have confidence in. You want to take position in the strongest coins

I bought some at 0.22 and targeting 0.4-0.6 because I felt it had bottomed. I'd advise new folks to thread carefully with it.

If in doubt, look up it's chart against betece or Eith and youd see it's been in a 4 year continuous downtrend. People want to be heroes and catch the exaxt bottom. Folks have been doing that for 4 years and getting rekt

In my opinion no one should buy rip and forget it or hold it too much, I trade it daily sha, and it’s been very good to me, but I do mine based on any 1-3 Naira increase in price which always happens at least twice daily, this morning I work up to a pleasant surprise from rip and eith

I buy and dump my rip within hours doe never sat on it for 24 hrs

True it does at some banks, but you know our country, ask the right person in the branch and they’d hook you up... How do you think most of the abokis get it, most of them hoard... I can’t mention the bank names on here cuz I intend to continue exploiting the loophole for a long time and everyone is on Nairaland...

I'd say if this thread is to grow and for us to have a community, then its better most general creeptow discussions are held here.
I was on the agrotech and Treasury Bills thread and what helped those were discussions held there. Others can contribute and scrutinize. Of course, private discussions can be done privately.
Seems what most folks are looking for is someone telling them to buy and sell here. To be profitable in this market, one has to put in some effort. Else, its better to buy and forget it.

To be honest I’d really prefer that, not a fan of the personal contact thing, easier for it to be on here in the open, I can share tips off my own personal trades but I’m not some Guru, and I feel it’d be easier if everyone had different methods and opinions to consider... For instance I’ve grown interested in Lnk since it was mentioned here by u & a couple others

Thanks. Got that. But did you notice buying crypto using debit cards is cheaper than with fiat on Binance?

Can you buy crypto on binance with nigerian debit cards? If yes, which one works

@FlyHeight, sailor and other bosses, I learnt that the last time eth reached 1,150 dollars / 1 eth was January 2018 and now presently it is approaching 1,500 dollars/ 1 eth. My question is what amount will eth hits the new all time high this time around?

I’m aiming for 2

Before initiating withdrawals on Luno always verify your Acct at least to the second level, at the third level there’s no limits on withdrawals, and it’s almost immediate... I withdraw tens of Ms monthly and I’ve never been locked out
That's cool, but i don't have the available documents on ground now, can i transfer my coin to binance and sell it there?

Yes most of hold outperform day traders and that’s cuz most people who claim to be day traders do panic sales and buys... And trade based on hope, I used to hold heavily until 2018, I started day trading in 2018, and it’s worked a lot better than holding; but then again I’m naturally a gambler and a risk taker & I play poker... I prefer picking my 1-2% daily and whenever there’s a major uprising i grab as much as I can. I always keep my initial capital in an offline wallet though that enables me ensure i have savings and a back up plan.

I’ve made a lot more of my day trading than of my holdings... then again I also have the time to monitor and the know how... When Mining was a thing, I mined but now it’s not profitable at all, so I stuck to day trading. There’s a racket at the banks that even allows you buy $ at 400 which allows me make close to 15% without even trading, hence why I don’t feel the Luno charges cuz they swap out $ at 481

Please, how do I know about this day trading...o have been holding my altcoins....but I want to know more about day trading......link me up please

LOOOL that’s the normal hunger for more, but the truth is, it’s usually best to cash in on the ATH when it hits, if the ATH is 680, I try to dispose at 678, and then sit it out for at least 12 hrs to observe how the swing moves, if it’s a constant up and down, I might decide to play with it a bit the next day at or even buy back in at maybe 660 and resell at 670 once or twice because that swing will happen today at least twice, i love my 1%s

I typically leave my money in NGN after that and initiate an entry at 3-6am again

Again these are methods that are working for me, doesn’t mean it would work for everyone else before Nairaland lions crucify me.

Like I said, I'm a newbie in this game but I know I just need to start from somewhere.
I just funded my binance account with 10k. I'd like to know which altcoin with prospect I should buy for day trading purpose. I want to put all ive learnt about day trading into use. And from research and my little understanding, I'm thinking in between Link, Dot and XRP. I almost decided to buy Dot then my mind said I should seek opinion here from the bosses.

Epp a brother, please.

It’s a lot like gambling but it’s relatively easy once you get a hold of it and you need a heart of stone...

If you want to learn I would suggest you run your own practicals using real money not those demo accts.

Practical example here: try using a high risk coin like rip, you can also try this for the next 24 hrs and let me know ur results...

I bought 100k @ 138 = 724 rip by 2am today
I sold at 147 when I woke up for 106k by 7am

Bought back in by 9am when it dropped to 144 for my 106k at 739 rip
Sold few mins ago at 145.7 cuz the market has been boring for over an hour for almost 108k.

Same for Lite, bought 100k at 73.2k by midnight, for 1.366 & sold at 76,400 by past 3am for 104k
Bought 104k at 75,500 by 4:30 for 1.3824 and sold a while back at 78,400 for 108k.

Pls note all figures above were actual trades i just used the 100k figures for reference... my trades were in more digits, but i figured it’d be easier to understand using 100k as a reference point

Both values in cryp and NGN increased by close to 8% and I’ve only done two roundhouse trades in 24hrs... I set targets of 2% profits and 1% losses for myself daily, most days in the past 4 months I’ve been able to do close to 5% daily, and on days where the jumps are major, it’s a party...

Pls note: rip is currently a risky coin & would serve best if you monitor closely, however it threads off the success of eith so watching eith will help guide thru rip. Rip just serves best if you’re a newbie trying to make some while learning... and it works like the stock market, less figures to confuse you, once you get a hold of this technique you’re ready to take on the big bee. You’d panic less when you’re losing money by the tens of thousands once you enter full DT with the big bee, cuz you would know how to bounce back.

Sure if you still have a withdrawal limit available on binance that won’t require the same extra verification

Oga Edu please I want to ask, do you use debit card while making your purchases or do you make use of fiat (i.e. you transfer to your wallet and then buy)? Why I ask is because I noticed buying with fiat is more expensive on Binance... Have been trying to pay with my Stanbic IBTC debit MasterCard and I keep getting failed transaction message at the end of the day.
