It's only the foundation of the fear of God that reinforces our strict parenting. Otherwise, it creates hypocrisy or hardheartedness in the children.

This is true. So many strict parents raised rebels. Some were not bold enough to misbehave in front of their parents, while others dared their parents to their face.

No matter what Doyin Okupe is accused of doing, no parent deserves to have to deal with aberrant behavior in their children.
The rush to send young kids abroad is a calculated risk. Many parents underestimate the cultural differences between our society and that of the western world, where family values and the concept of God have largely been erased.
