@Otunbatee could you please help me with the procedure to send Passport to Abuja for counterfoil stamping. I would also like to know the fees that are to be paid, especially for someone who did biometrics in Lagos.

Thanks for your time.

Wow,

How were you able to get it?

Did you send a mail to your school? If yes, can you share me excerpts of your mail message body to your school.

Guys, look what I got when I sent a mail to the embassy and webform that my processing time has passed.

Does it look like there is hope to come out this week as I have to balance up tuition this week. If i dont by friday, i have to drop out and defer till september which I really don't want to and I don't want to pay fully to avoid tuition refund issues as they do not want to refund the initial deposit i paid without showing proof of visa refusal.

What can I do now?

Please advise me guys.

Lekiboboe:

No it's not too early,

Your Uncle don't need to go to the court to swear an Affidavit of Sponsorship. Only you can do the package.

Just go to Notary Public with ur Sponsor's Passport Photograph & Your Own Passport Photograph.

Go with the details of your school in CANADA (School name & Address), also go there with your Uncle's Details (Home Address)

If you are based in Lagos,

Go to IKEJA, @ Oba Akinjobi way, the road leading to Ikeja G.R.A & Ikeja High court.,
u will see some women with Umbrella, (some standing, some sitting down) mentioning the word AFFIDAVIT continuously. Meet one of them

(The place is not far from the Popular Computer Village)

Cost : The range of #1,500 to #2,500

You can also check ijaiye road axis at OGBA, IKEJA , along where WAEC and NUJ (Nigerian Union of Journalism) office are located , u will also see some Women there mentioning the Word "AFFIDAVIT"

Once you get the AFFIDAVIT OF SPONSORSHIP, take it to your uncle, there is portion for him to Sign. that portion is called DEPONENT

I am not sure about your first question. I got mine about 3 weeks after applying via the normal route.

Secondly, I also used my mutual fund but I used it as investment and back up money. Called their customer representative and was told they don't issue MBS certificate. What I did was to request for an official(stamped) bank statement from them and also a reference letter. I read from someone's post here that she also included a redemption form to show that she can easily redeem the money when needed. You might want to try that too. But call their customer rep first to ask if they can do the MBS now and ask them what are your options then you decide on what to do.

Please note that I also submitted my sponsors bank statement along with MBS for my salary account.

MsJanez01:

Good morning Justwise,
Is there a particular way of applying for NSE. Most applicants I know got the NSE notification after applying through the normal route

Secondly for people that have funds in Mutual investment, what's their alternative to mybankstatement?

This is like a generic response which they give everyone asking about status especially from Kenya I have seen this response so many times here so I guess almost all Applications that have passed the standard processing time are still under active review at this point I don't even know what to advice you again it's like one is btw the devil and the deep blue Sea and just take it with faith that they will respond before the end of this week and inform your school about the delay in response from CIC

This is to encourage all those who have been delayed of their visa in the past.
I submitted my first application on 10/10/2019 for a PhD in industrial systems engineering and got denied on Nov 2019 with an upfront medicals.
Reason.Purpose of visit and family ties.
I applied again on DEC 2019 without applying for Gcms note and got rejected again on January 2019.
Reason. Current employment situation and family ties.
Before I applied the third time,I joined nairaland but never asked any question or posted anything, but I kept following what MR frank was always advising.I now applied the third time through paper application on Feb.24/2020.
They demanded submission for my new admission letter on 9/14/2020 which I submitted the same day.
I got AIP on 9/25/2020
Redo medical on 10/19/2020
I did my medical on 3/11/2020 and IOM told me it has been sent to embassy on 5/11/2020
I didn't care to link the account to online account.
I got BVL on 1/20/2020
Then approval on 1/25/2020.

Never lose hope cos it must surely end in praise.

Thanks Frank for following you on nairaland.

Any idea when police clearance certificate expires when one does it now, is it a for-life thing or it has an expiry date?

Lol at "Look for trouble".
I don't think what you ticked on your questionnaire has any negative consequence. We are only human, and you are allowed to change your mind about your kid accompanying u or not.
