There are a number of great books to read about history of religions and philosophy to be enlightened (I can recommend a few).

But it will take time depending on your schedule.

I think it's important for one to focus on one's career and then read the books gradually.

The research is well worth it. But one needs to approach things practically so that reading the books doesn't get in the way of one's career.

Then, Nigeria is a deeply religious and superstitious society. That's one major reason why the country isn't moving forward.

So if a person does research on the history of religion and studies books of philosophy and logic (it could take a year or more to read the books), they will become a freethinker, atheist, humanist, and the likes (i.e. enlightened).

One has to consider the risks of living in this country as an irreligious person or scientifically minded person.

Please, beware of leaving a religion (a cult) only to join another cult. One can be an enlightened person without belonging to a cult or joining a group.
