No. I was denied for another issue entirely.

narpheesarh:

@spiceeamiee. Please were you later denied due to the passport issue or another issue entirely?

I just received an email from TLS that my parents passport are ready for collection. It's just the 8th working day. I'm so scared to be honest. We didn't even get a call from UKVI to confirm we are sponsoring them which they did for my mother in law. Hope this is not a bad sign o. Humm

I will like your suggestions please.

I am currently putting all required documents together to invite my MIL fora period of 5 months in March just before my expected delivery date. I have put on the letter a total of £4000 to cover all expenses (as a full sponsor). Will the ECO think this is going to be sufficient for 5months or not?
I will be submitting mine & hubbys savings account statement too with a total balance of £17k

thanks

You are most likely setting her for a visa denial. 5 months is a lot, they do not expect her to stay that long. They are not expecting her to come take care of your kid. Mention a lesser duration instead of 5 month. The visa would already be valid for 6 months anyway.

Also why are you the sole sponsor? It seems better to make it a collective thing I.e to include your hubby since you would better submitting his statement as well. Just write a sponsorship letter that you both would sponsor. Just an advise. Bank balance isn’t always the major factor they look at. For you know, I hav submitted same application with just pay slips and no bank statements and was approved within 1 week for both parents.

Hello aopecy. Sorry about that, hopefully it will be overturned. I could remember you mentioned yesterday that you didn't get a decision email. Do you mean the refusal email was sent after you have been told to collect your passport by DHL? I have not gotten any decision email as well but DHL will deliver passport on Monday. Many thanks in advance for your response.

I later saw the email for decision making it was sent on 21th ,the problem was with the email cos it was not loading new email.... so if you don't get email from then and your document is been sent back.. probably your visa might be approved. please update once you get your documents thanks

I see. Thanks. I will definitely update once the document arrives. Can somebody collect and sign the DHL package on the applicant's behalf? Anyone knows?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by pheemeehan: 11:29pm On Jan 30, 2021
I salute you all, I will need your support and advice in my decision making. I have a valid UK visa that will expire in March. I have a plan to travel in April with my family members whose visas expire by June.
my MI =330K, ME=75K, DI=255K. and the golden rule of using 2.5 of DI to plan one's expenses take me to 637.5k (1,215GBP). To me, the amount is too low for a family of five to travel with. I am looking at (2000GBP) which will amount to 4 times DI is this acceptable even though I have total savings on two accounts to a tune of (14867GBP) all inflows are definable.
In the course of renewal of my visa does the rule of 2.5 of DI applicable to my case.
I look towards your review and comments.
thanks

No she doesn't. This will be her 1st visa application. we can reduce it to 4 months if needed. To be honest, she won't be able to stay up to 5 months
If we reduced it to 4 months, will £4000 be a reasonable amount to state in the application for her expenses by us?

Thanks
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by evenda: 8:47am On Jan 31, 2021
We will reduce it then to 3-4 months i think.
No am not, hubby and I are both writing a letter to support/sponsor the application. I earn above the minimum financial requirement compared to Hubby , so I was going be the main sponsor, whilst hubby supports me.

Ok, am here filling this form and am stuck at a few questions, please help. Application for visit MIL

1. What is your employment status? - I've put unemployed (She is Pastor), so its voluntary work . Is this correct?

2. Do you have another income or any savings? Answer Other regular income - is this right? she gets some monthly stipends from us but it isn't same amount each month. Does she have to declare this or just put no other income? considering she won't be supplying her bank statements
3. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? I couldn't skip this bit. so I have put £1 /#1 (she will be fully sponsored for this trip) - is the answer correct?

Thank you for answering in advance

Happy Sunday to all the gurus in the house. Thank you for your support so far, and I pray for those expecting their visa to be given as well. Please kindly advise, in my last application I stated total income imonthly is 288k inclusive of other income of investment. I also stated my expenses is not constant sometimes low or high, and I stated N112.000 as expense monthly. I was given d 6months visa,if am to renew I tend to reduce my expenses as my huby do give me cash for little miscellaneous upkeep. Or are mine to remain on expenses of the same N112k I used for my previous application . Will this be any challenge if I reduced my expenses.. Thank you for your advise .
