James Harden made the league to be attempting more threes
James Harden made the stepback three a go-to shot
James Harden changed the way the game is officiated.

Only one person did all this, and yet here on Nairaland some emotional folks want to make me believe Steph has influenced the game more than Harden. Mtcheeewww

I dey tell you!!! A gutsy performance by Kyrie.. He looked like he was on a mission from opening tip. The Nets have to find a way to play some kind of defense.. Any semblance of defense but again, I look at their bench and see S. Nash and M. D'Antoni as coaches and I wonder where defense is going to come from.

You have time to educate him. Imagine someone trying to make an argument about 3s and he is pulling stats for which team attempts more 3s that did not win and were less efficient while at it. There is a name for such people and when I find it i might type it here.
Lol you people have time sha

Andrew Wiggins men. How do you miss such clutch free throws after playing like cheeks all game. And it's a damn shame that for his size he does absolutely nothing else when his shots aren't falling

6'3 Steph 35pts 11 rebs
6'7 Wiggins 15pts from 16 shots, 2 rebounds, 2!!

Great game from the nets but Kyrie plays too much iso / solo ball. Harden and KD we're top notch .

For real. But he was on fire last night so I'll cut him some slack. Would have been interesting to see how he fares when being guarded by a pest like Beverley.

It's like Lou Will wants to retire, because I don't know what's wrong with that man. He seems to have lost it.

Still and still, it was an even keenly-contested game from start to finish.

The Kings have always been a tough team for us..
Halftime 52-51. Kings up by 1
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:40am On Feb 04, 2021
Since Smart went down Brad has combined Theies and Thompson in the starting line up and it seems to be working on the defensive end as both players swarm the board. We still need that 3rd scoring option.

I'd love to see a Bucks/Nets Playoffs series. Let's see what those defensive stalwarts of the Bucks can do against the Nets offense. Would love to see Giannis vs KD on both sides of the court. I know KD is a lethal scorer and all, but it'll be interesting to see how he fares when being guarded by a 6'11" dude with feet as quick as a guard. I know KD won't guard Giannis though, cos Giannis is just too powerful for him grin, and we know he won't be shooting midranges.

And there's Kyrie vs Holiday, pfffff. Mouthwatering. My guess is that Middleton will take on Harden. Man, I want this match-up like crazy.

K. Oubre reminded everyone tonight of how good he can be.

That lockdown D by the Lakers in that second half was championship mettle. A 12 point half time deficit turned into a 21 point victory. That's a 33 point turnaround in 24 minutes. Magical.

Aren’t you worried about AD?

Man, I really am. It's not even that he's shooting poorly because he's still shooting 52% from the field. It's his lack of aggression. His FG attempts have reduced slightly. He only attempted 8 last night in 30 mins. His FT attempts have gone down by 3, and to make matters worse he's shooting only 70% of it.

Lol. He played his part in that comeback, even if it was just a minor contribution grin He looks like a 45 year old on the court cheesy Can't jump, has regressed in shooting. Yes, we could do with another center, someone we can give 10 to 15 mins a night. But which centers are out there?

He played 33 mins and only had 13 points. That is simply unacceptable from him.

Man got financial security and became a slacker.

Don’t even get me started with Gasol. That was the only thing rob got wrong, letting go of Dwight and McGee without an elite replacement.

Is that the only possible explanation for AD's drop in form? He could just be passing through a temporary loss of form phase as happens to a lot of athletes or he could be going through something more personal and emotional that is affecting peak performance.

His energy and determination to win and compete can still be felt at the defensive end. These things happen. He will get his offensive mojo back. All he needs to do is to keep working hard.

It looks bad now because there's no backup center. But truly, I didn't know this is what we were getting when we traded for him sad
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 11:36pm On Feb 05, 2021
I like Adam Silver. I think the growth of the NBA has been astronomical under his leadership. But this idea of an all-star game is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Gotdammit. You're just coming off the shortest off-season in NBA history. You told your players that there would be a mini break at the halfway point of the regular season, a time which would be used for recuperation, and possibly playing of rescheduled games. Then all of a sudden we're talking of an all-star game. In a pandemic, and in Atlanta of all places. Come on man angry
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:21am On Feb 06, 2021
Usually players would miss games entirely due to health and safety protocols. But here we have KD being allowed to start a game on the bench, then cleared during the course of the game, only to be uncleared again during the same game. I smell foul play here.
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:40am On Feb 06, 2021
The Nets can not stop any kind of penetration offense and when they go small with Green at the 5, they are getting punished. They have conceded 50 points from penetrations.
