Exchanges bank account will be closed....if you have crypto like bitcoins, you can still trade from peer to peer trade options on exchanges like binance.
This is bad

The big question is "how reliable is Jack"? How are we sure that Jack will not wake up one day and vanish with our money?
To answer your question quite reliable actually being that he's my best friend. Then the second if the cbn actually goes through with this, people who aren't used to it will have to go back to p2p or give up on btc. You'll have to find someone you can trust. And contrary to popular opinion bitcoin vendors are actually reliable being that they make big dough being a vendor than running off with a few change. Find someone to trust buddy

Because Crypto Currency is a direct competition with the Fulany owned BDCs.

Ha Ha

Very soon the Fulany FG will ban poultry farms, cos it is in direct competition with the herdsmen industry.

It is too late.

You obviously don't know anything about cryptotrading.

If someone buys crypto from me, how does the CBN knows the person bought from me?

Most trading of large sizes are done off exchanges between individual parties so this policy cannot prevent that.
You obviously don't shit about crypto. Peer to peer will be effective only if there's an escrow service due to low level of trust. Again, how do expect crypto firms to transact base on p2p?
Think before you type.

Crypto is expensive to send.

Network fees is very high for btc and others.

So i don't see how crypto strengthens the naira

When we cried in 2015, you people called us "wailers". What we(Igbos) sit down and see, you people can't see it even if you climb fifty stairs. Enjoy your "change"
Funny thing is that Yorubas helped this Government to attain power in order to spite the Igbos...

Fastfoward to now...they are the ones at the receiving end! grin grin

Who voted more for Buhari apart from the core North? Yorubas

Which people are now suffering worst fate in the hands of Herdsmen after Benue and Plateau? Yorubas

Which tribe trades more in cryptocurrency in Nigeria? Yoruba

Now who will this news affect more? Definitely Yorubas

Wetin concern Emeka in Alaba Market or Ikechukwu in Onitsha main market with crypto!

Make they enjoy their CHANGE! cheesy cheesy grin grin

You just keep mentioning different names.

Yes ripple is cheaper to send, there are thousands of coins that are cheaper to send but Who uses them for transaction?

Bitcoin is the ultimate coin and the coin that people use for transactions, even if you want ripple or tron, you still need to get btc first.

To transfer your btc to the exchanges is expensive especially on weekdays because of network fees
