My accommodation is a partially serviced apartment. There are places you will pay up to $4000 a month. Go to Cantonment or Dzorwulu or Osu area. Even in East Legon, you will see some houses that are very expensive. It is all about what you want. I have lived in that house for 17 months now. From my house to American House is like 10 minutes drive.

Even Spintex road which is a choice real estate location, you get 2-bedroom houses there for up to 2,500 - 3,500 GHS a month.

Ghana is a highly dollarized economy. There are many places you pay rent and hotel bills in US Dollars.

I agree. I actually prefer African countries.

I swear. I always tell my friends, the US, Canada and the EU are for work and making money. But once you have your retirement plan pat down and a business to keep you in false teeth and walking sticks, stay in Africa. There's enough beauty here to satisfy anyone. All those people who travel to Paris and Dubai for vacations are only doing it for the boasting factor, nothing more. I have neither desire nor intention to ever step into Europe or the US again. Shit hole boring countries all.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. So I can imagine someone saying that Abuja is beautiful. I've stayed much more than a few days there. In fact, I was actually considering relocating my family to join me there at a point in time. I've also travelled widely by road within Ghana.

I beg to differ. Those countries are doing better off in terms of human capital utilization and development and the judicious utilization of their limited resources compared to Nigeria. Also in terms of civilization and structural development they are ahead of Nigeria.

Nigeria is just large in population ..that's the only advantage it has on other african countries.in terms of development we are very low on that.
