Dependent visa is about 462 pounds, if your occupation is on the shortage list then you will pay half at 231 pounds or so.
Ihs charges will also be paid for every year for the visa, dnt know how much. If you are in the nhs, ihs will not be charged so you won’t be paying ihs if under this category.
I believe tier 2 has been phased out most esp the name. It is now skilled worker visa. Find info below and on the gov.uk site

Good evening,

Need your clarification on something.

Is it necessary for someone that has a company to submit the bank statement of the business when he is already submitting a personal bank statement that shows salary payment from the company?

Please note that he will be submitting CAC docs and other relevant docs that shows he is the owner of the company.

Will appreciate your response and inputs.

Thank you.

my own case is diffrent tho , I am a salary earner with my statement of account basically from my employer the business statement of account , I'm not submitting cos I've not been paying myself from it , I'm only adding the business details to show more ties to home country , even though I have money in the account , I'm not including it as a financial support document rather just to show more ties

ok, guys, i need your input on this, i know before applying, i couldn't get concrete advice off here as it wasn't straight forward.

so my MIL got a refusal , but we intend applying again.. see refusal letter attached.

History,
she is a fulltime pastor, so no salary and doesn't work elsewhere.
she only gets some small money from us monthly and maybe ftom some generous members as well.
so because she isn't paid a salary, I've put unemployed but stated she got regular allowance from us up to 150k/yr.
We mentioned this in the cover letter that it wasnt always regular and submitted proof of these payments to her.

We didnt include her bank statements as we didnt think it will be necessary and any large free will money from others can raise alarm.

So now we want to apply again.
1. do we say self employed or still unemployed? and put her bank statements but also annotate transactions from us to her with detailed explanations. if self employed, does she need to provide proof of this employment?

2. do we say unemployed and say no other source of income, so no bank statements? doesn't that just muddle things up as we've put yes in the previous application.

looks like refusal was mainly on her other income source, no issues seen from our side and it's fully sponsored trip for 45days
some1 please help me with advice or ideas o.

thank you

Thanks a lot giselle237 for the response.

So my Tier 2 "Skilled worker" visa would be expiring next year march, however my company has every intention to renew my visa by then.

My question is, would the duration remaining on my current visa have any effect on the cost of the visa and IHS fees as we will be applying for the dependant visa this year.? (I don't work for the NHS but work for a Category A sponsors).

Hopefully my question is clear smiley. Thanks.

u have a visa that is valid till march 2022, ur dependent is tied to your own visa and whatever date is on urs which is March 2022 is goin to be the validity of ihs fees and your dependent’s visa.
Until your visa/contract is renewed for longer term, the date that will be used for your spouse is the date your status is valid for. No room for presumption that it will be renewed.

Someone advised to simply say omugwo. It is culture. It is tradition. Dnt translate. Write omugwo there or u say visit family. I am yet to know why you can’t also say your mum is coming to visit.
U dnt need to write 10000 reasons why a mum will want to see her own child.

@giselle237 Please I need you to guide a friend. A friend asked me and I don't know what to tell him

His income comes from rent payments for a property he inherited, he has documents for the property. Currently, he has NO job.

When filling the visit visa form, what would you advise him to fill at the employment section?
The rent is paid annually, how would he fill the monthly income and monthly expenditure?
The purpose for his visit is to attend Army Assessment Centre. He has invitation from the British Army.
Thank you as you kindly respond.
frankly he won’t get the visa. He should try and get a job. The way ECOs have been assessing those tryin to obtaim visa to go for assessmnt has showed a pattern. They know there is a strong possibility you people won’t return whether british army takes u or not so the lines are clear.
