You got it wrong as well. Medical and vet docs are employ on comess 3 which is equivalent to GL12 while lawyer depend on the MDAs some place them on CONRAISS 7 equivalent to GL 08, CONTISS 8 ,=9, HESS 7 or 8 as the case may be. Op You are supposed to be placed on CONRAISS 07. I believe the sugar institute is a research institute under the ministry of Agric and Rural devt.

It is usually stated on the appointment letter. May I also know the designation. This will help to know if you are on grade level salary scale. Grade level 3 is a very low cadre scale for maybe SSCE O'Level.

I think the organization has their own Condition of service and salary scale difference from normal civil service. So ur salary grade is NSI 03 02.

Level 3 is for WAEC holder and your salary should be between 30 to 40k per month because the lease officer in government office (ie level 1) collect minimum wage which is 30k

do you know we have salary structure like CONMESS, CONTISS, HATTISS, CONUASS and several others? some of them e.g Conuass start from 1 for graduates. grade level is completely a different salary structure. i will advice you take the job as you will be properly repositioned after documentation if that level is below your educational qualifications excluding your years of experience

Guy you are being shortchanged, they actually want you to reject the job.

Grade level 2 and 3 are grade level for cleaners and drivers.

Being a graduate you are supposed to be started at grade level 8

What they used in employing you is your first leaving certificate, if you accept the offer you won't be able to do anything to upgrade yourself. They will say you accepted the offer and signed.

I'm a federal civil servant myself. My advice for you is to reject the offer straight away.

With that grade level your salary won't be more than 30k and they will use you to do dirty jobs into late hours

North East is most likely an NGO...Grab it with both hands...

Simple, the job offer is not for graduates, they just want to take advantage of job market. .
However if you summit your university certificate and it's in your file, I will advise you to take the job.
Any time you see somebody from your region or religion at the top of the organisation just go and greet him and report your case to him. If you are favoured your case will be reviewed and you will be upgraded to GL 8 or 9.
It is a simple case just make sure that your certificates are in your files.
Please don't miss or throw away the opportunity to enter the system.

It happened to me also I was employed on GL 6 step 2 Conpass.I have HND.May be u wull be upgraded very soon

Conraiss is only different from grade by 1.
So if Someone is on grade level 10, In Conraiss he would be Conraiss 9.

Starting point/scale for a new medical Doctor in federal government agency is usually conmess 3 step 3. So u need to know the scale

This is not true.
A medical officer entry point is level 12 any where. His salary structure conmess is the best any where.

Reject it now

The salary scale should be well stated on the letter just before the Level and step you are being employed on.

Without that information you won't get a precise answer here.

What you need to do is, get the info from the organisation's staff.

Or speak up when you go for documentation and if it happens that you are employed on a grade level below a fresh graduate's Scale, then proceed to HR/Registry for complain and correction.
