No ur brothers, sisters, parents etc can’t ... if you were less than 18 or so, probably yes or a student yes they could but even if they do, their circumstances will be put aside and yours will be used to judge if you a potential overstayer or not.
The applicant must convince the visa officer that they are coming for the written down/intended purposes and will go back
It's alright U hv done well.. I'll act on wat u've said. I realy appreciate u 4ur time, answerin me like a paid agent. Thank you

what is the total flight time? And she can do a covid test 48hrs before departure at an approved centre.. the result should come out in time.
Pls dnt forget to fill passenger locator form and to pay for the day 2 and day 8 package testing in the uk... without these 2, her entry into UK is not guaranteed.

Then pls guide her on what to do... u know d movement at transit airport... noone will basically come and be telling u what to do.. she needs to take note of her boarding gate, be searching for international departure... go thru security control and find her boarding gate to uk in time at addis ababa.. pls teach her these things and also what to carry hand luggage so she won’t be delayed by load in the transit movement. U can only pay with dormicilliary cards as all naira mastercards have 100usd cutoff or alternatively book on wakanow or call the british airways lagos abuja office, they will tell you the naira equivalent to pay and where to pay it.
What do you mean as new entrant?

You can only use the nigerian licence for one calendar year. After that it becomes invalid

Hello, I am new to this thread and naira land so I would very much appreciate your assistance. My uncle wants to send me letter of invitation, he will be taking care of all the financial aspects. My question is what do I have to do on my own part to be able to get the visa. I just started working so I don't have upto 6 months salary to show. How much do I need in my account ( my uncle would sponsor everything I'm assuming I still need to have something).
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Magnifque01: 6:43pm On Mar 07, 2021
Hello House , kindly assist with the airline with the cheapest and good services. It pains me that I have to go through this. I have initially purchased a ticket through Emirates but cos OG the recent ban of flights coming from Dubai, I have been left with no choice than to source for other options . Please help with suggestions as current flight rate is highhhhhhhh

@Riola, just read about 3 or 4 pages back. Gisele has kindly gone through the sort of information you are asking about with another poster.

She has also been comprehensive on the issues of TIES: basically, what ties you to Nigeria that will convince the Entry Clearance Officers (ECO) that you will return to Nigeria after your visit.

Your uncle's sponsorship and personal circumstances only count for a small part of your getting a VISA - it does count because at least you have accommodation and other expenses sorted out. Being invited is so much better than claiming you want to go on your own as a Tourist.

* I do wonder about those wanting to invite folks to the UK and not doing much legwork for the invitee? Do they really want them to come to the UK or they are doing it out of family obligations?
A family member had done that to another that I know... He invited the person and did not bother including any bank statements or other docs... This was a long time ago though.

He is not doing it out of obligation he genuinely wants me there. I just want to know how much money I should have in my account and what other documents to prepare
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by chrisj2(m): 9:48pm On Mar 07, 2021
Ok. It is not an easy process, so read up but I still think the person inviting you should do their own research and should be ahead of you... I suppose they want the process to succeed - don't they?

Read about Irenenewaka that was trying to invite her mother or mother-in-law to come and help as she is about the have a baby. You would have thought it was an easy process as they can sponsor and are ready and willing but she was here asking many many questions; that was after two refusals.

You don't have to read many pages back to get the picture...

Why is travelling out looking so tough, you must have a specific amount of money in yr account etc even tho you have a sponsor at the intended country, but I know people with no dime but only a sponsor, some no sponsor and yet they travelled out, what is it they do differently pls?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by chrisj2(m): 11:28pm On Mar 07, 2021
Fingers not equal. Read up on TIES... At the end of the day, the ECO will want to be convinced that you will return to Nigeria after your visit. Many do not return - it is as simple as that!

If you travel to Togo or Benin or Chad, you will have less issues... Will they be so concerned that you will not return to Nja? No! Those might even be visa free. UK and other western countries are not the only countries that one can travel to...

Dear NL,
I currently work with a bank (3rd year) as a support staff earning below (100k monthly) and 1.1m (annually).. I have a registered business account (LTD) which has been functional for the past 6 months with a turnover of about 1.7m so far (Operating as Event Planner/Food & Nutrition Planning ETC)...
My plan is that i intend to apply for UK visit visa later in the year or anytime soon as i get a concrete guideline after the whole pandemic immigrational laws and restrictions must have subside.
I can get my outsource to give me a list of some of the required documents but is it really advisable considering how much i earn, will it carry enough weight for this whole processing or should i just improve on my business account fully instead.
But my idea is since ppl do multiple jobs even overseas, i would want to believe that the ECO/VO would understand since all documents will be provided of bot (Business Profile and Individual Profile of me being a banker).
I can get my outsource to provide the following; (introduction letter as well as my 6months payslipsProof of employmentOffer letter.
Then other documents as regards my registered comp can be prepared by myself.

I was able to collate this list from what i have learnt so far from this thread
UK TOURIST Requirements:
International passport ( 6 months validity)
Bio data page2 passport photos
Proof of employment
6 month bank statement
6 months pay slip
Introduction letter from employer
Offer letter from work
Self introduction letter
Official I.d card (Both Registered Business and Bank)Certificate of incorporation( if you own a business)

My financial strength..
I have balance of 1.7m in my business account.
I haven't touched/spent from my staff salary account for the past 4months and i intend to leave it there for the next 8-10months will have a balance of (400-500k) in there by then..

Please kindly advise on whats best to do.
Travel Experience.. (none)
Age (late 20's)
Marital Status (Single)
I have been reading this thread for the past 2 weeks,
I am so impressed with what have learnt so far.
Please kindly advise.

Good morning house. Please I need your advice. I got my 6months visit visa last year and went to UK to spend 7days instead of 10days stated in my application form. If I want to reapply can I apply for 2years or 5years. Thanks.

Good Evening Guru in the house..

I need your contribution and clarifications, my wife and my 2 years old son wish to pay my wife sister a visit in the UK.

The sister and her husband are British citizens and have the capacity to accommodate and take care of their needs during the visit.

I the husband on the other hand works with a regional organization and I've exhausted a large chunk of my annual leave, so I won't be going with them. My wife does personal business cash flow to her personal account is not really on the high side. I will be the one funding the travelling expenses, her sister & her husband catering for their needs in UK.

I need your advice on way to go

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by chrisj2(m): 12:12pm On Mar 08, 2021
@alert20, the guy has just given you a small but significant piece of advice... Start spending your salary as most normal people do... You are not better off with 2 million balance compared to 1 million balance.

It is not really your bank balance (unless you are mega rich and can prove it and has many years bank history) that matters. What matters most is the the ECO thinks you will return to Nigeria after your visit.

So not spending from your salary obviously shows that you are desperately saving money to travel or want to impress with your big bank balance or worse, you have another dodgy source of income...

Small advice counts - don't discount it. All the advice you need is within this forum and no one can guarantee what the outcome of your application will be be. Luck counts too.

What shall you do? Start by putting your house in order - behave normally, keep all your bank statements: personal and business. Be able to prove your source of income both business, employment and salary...

Lastly, have very good reasons for wanting to travel to the UK. Tourism is fine but Nigerians are not Europeans, Americans, Canadians, Australians etc or folks from major countries that are trusted to return back home after a visit to the UK. That is a fact of life - so, how can you convince an ECO that you will return to Nigeria after your visit or that this visit is really of much importance to you

In my personal opinion i would say yur feeding cant be ignored. As much as the eco wants to have a clear understanding of yur income, they also want to have a clear understanding of yur expenditure.

Having a bank account with only credits and no expenditure is money lodgement I believe. So as advertised sir/ma by others as well I suggest u run the account as normal and not be sooo keen on leaving a fat closing balance.

Nbid are you married? Or are u under ur parents? If yes i can let you know how to cover up for the feeding.. sorry im a bit busy hence the late reply
Then for the business, yes you are allowed to have a business and job
U will only need to reiterate that this business is on the side and you will need to project it as a strong one bcus for me ur salary of 91k is too low to show economic tie.. too low
Oh just seeing that u are single... for ur business money, it is strictly for the running of ur business and how u can claim money from there is to have a salary from there as well paid to you monthly.
Do this for 6 months to beef up your total monthly incomes from both ends to 300k. I think thats d safest but for now financially i dnt think u are there yet to be issued a visa

Yes you can apply immediately but your circumstances must have changed to avoid another refusal..... Get receipts for those funds the Eco complains about and also get a written documents sign by a lawyer to back it up.... Example

1. Check the dates those money entered into your account and make an official receipt showing the exact name on the transaction, it might be money for rent or goods and services....

2. If it's a property, go to any cyber cafe and tell them you need a deed certificate and edit it with the same name on the transaction you can edit as many as you like ..... Someone might be paying #1m rent per annum and decided to pay it twice, make documents and let it show on the documents that he's the one that has paid those lump sum... Hope you understand ✌️

Thank you so much for the clarity.. @giselle237

With your supposed calculations if i can takeout the sum of #220k to be paid as salary to myself from the business account that would go a long way... ( Do i have to merge the payment into my *** work salary account) or another seperate account entirely which will serve as my salary account from the business)

However with the total sum of 310k total montly income from the business and my job.
What will be my expenses #80k? (40k from my job & 40k from my business)
Savings #2300k

If i have roughly 1.320k in (220k X 6) business
Job: (50k X 6) 300k
If at the end of this period i have above (1m in my business acct)

Do i stand a chance of a good profile this way...??

Thanks for every support at explanation @giselle237

Do i have an edge using my job/work profile and by registered business?

Also how much is the minimum balance required to maintain on both personal and business account.
