Thanks for your response. What I meant by new entrant is new immigrant. As in J.JC

giselle237:

U can only pay with dormicilliary cards as all naira mastercards have 100usd cutoff or alternatively book on wakanow or call the british airways lagos abuja office, they will tell you the naira equivalent to pay and where to pay it.
What do you mean as new entrant?

Igengo:
Good morning to everyone on here. Trust we are doing good. Please I would appreciate if anyone can help me clarify some things here

1. Does British airline accept naira debit Mastercard to book flights if one is going to the UK

2. I heard car insurance is quite expensive in the UK. Please Which of the following licence will give a lower insurance cost? The Nigeria driver's licence? International driver's licence or UK Provisional licence? And also can i have an idea of the costs as well? Can license have some kind of little impact on insurance especially for new entrants, someone mentioned it does but I am not sure.

Thanks as you take your time to enlightene me

To help answer No 2.Are you renting a car or owning one? Have you driven with a left lane system before? That is the opposite of what we drive in Nigeria

You should be applying for a standard visitor visa duration of 6 mnths.
What is the purpose or ur travel?
As for documents u can have them all scanned to u as u wont be presenting any physical documents anywhere, all ur documents will be uploaded on the platform.
This is done after form has bn filled, completed, paid for and appointment date chosen.
There is no interview, you only go to the visa partner to submit ur fingerprints and digital passport photo.
U fill the form online, choose appointmnet online, upload ur documents online.

Someone should help respond to this question

TheFuckQueen:
Good Evening Guru in the house..

I need your contribution and clarifications, my wife and my 2 years old son wish to pay my wife sister a visit in the UK.

The sister and her husband are British citizens and have the capacity to accommodate and take care of their needs during the visit.

I the husband on the other hand works with a regional organization and I've exhausted a large chunk of my annual leave, so I won't be going with them. My wife does personal business cash flow to her personal account is not really on the high side. I will be the one funding the travelling expenses, her sister & her husband catering for their needs in UK.

I need your advice on way to go

irene do you have anyone tht can pay with naira card for you? If you are using wakanow? With naira card i dnt think they will ask for the physical card.

Wakanow will send her ticket via email within hours of their receiving the alert. U can also compare prices on travelstart, ethiopian air, travelbeta and jumia before clicking yes just so you could see which is the cheapest and save urself some naira.
If not then, u can try contacting the airlines directly from the Uk or try skyscanner to see if you can purchase it.

you need to show ties to Nigeria that you are not tryin to run away and that’s the only way.
I dnt think u have good chances with an unregistered business as you will also say you are using your personal account for transactions.
You would end up having multiple credits with unverified source which these ECOs cnt stand.
There needs to be a structure and as well paper evidence this is why I prefer salaried travellers as against registered/unregistered businesses who cnt prove source of funds. At a first go, I feel salaries are easier to trace... by salary i mean transfer...

In essence, UK embassy is not about just travelling out now, you must have a purpose and show strong ties to Nigeria because every visa applicant is a potential overstayer until proven otherwise.

Also pls try to have proofs of your communication. Whatsapp chats, emails, telephone records, build up this portfolio to strengthen ur case.
Go and arrange urself, my easiest way is to have a salaried amount that comes in every month from your business... this is my opinion... this business ofcourse should be registered with clear sources of your money. It shows structure and an economic tie.
It is not enough to have 10 million naira in ur account, they dnt care about that. They want to identify how your money is made and if that money u are making is regular, if its regularity is strong enough to bring u back to Nigeria...
then plus if u have a spouse, children, ?aged sickly parents, properties, assets etc that can further cement yourself to Nigeria.

On what basis is he accommodating and taking care of you as an adult? You need to convince them of your personal circumstances in Nigeria first... if there’s nothing to show here you will not be issued any visa.
So if you coming for less than 6 months it will be standard visitor visa.

But then if it is Family visa? and Adult dependent?
That means you are coming to live in the UK for more than 6 months??
Pls read through what you are seeing very well and make sure you are eligible...

Or

The visa costs not same and application not same.

If you have travel history to certain countries, your chances also increase

Adult dependent on family visa is mostly for elderly relatives who need the people in the UK to look after them, asides this I dnt see how you are eligible for a family visa so pls leave that out sir

Everything is done online. U fill form, after fillin form, u pay online, then proceed to choose date to submit ur finger prints and digital photo which they will take, then u upload ur documents online before this day..
all will be sent electronically to your case handler. They will use the documents to decipher if to give you the visa or not. For now like I said, you are yet to convince me that u hve ties to Nigeria... i doubt you will be given the visa, moreso as u cnt even sponsor the trip yourself..
things are not the same again.. work on your ties to Nigeria especially economic ties.

No ur brothers, sisters, parents etc can’t ... if you were less than 18 or so, probably yes or a student yes they could but even if they do, their circumstances will be put aside and yours will be used to judge if you a potential overstayer or not.
The applicant must convince the visa officer that they are coming for the written down/intended purposes and will go back
