God through his word, if you study carefully doesn't have any issue with polygamy.

However, God has constantly advised against it for people who must be leaders as a matter of example.

In the old testament, when Israel rejected God and demanded a king, Samuel was asked by God to tell them what a physical king will do to them, and told them to tell their king "not to multiply wives nor Chariots unto himself".......

The kings of Israel all had multiply wives but God didn't hold it as a sin against them.........

Paul in the new stated that any person seeking to be a leader in the church, should have just one wife as a matter of being an example..............

So it is my personal, candid opinion, obtained through personal study, that having multiply wives, provided it is not unlawful (that is against the law of the land) where you are, is not a sin.......

But, it is strongly recommended that we keep to one wife because it is a clear sign of continence and contentment........

This is aside from the fact that disagreements in polygamous homes are typically more complex than monogamous homes..............

We are all entitled to our views but God is not bound by any of them so don't place your views as if they are law.

God is Omniscient. He knows ALL so If he deliberately did not make it CLEAR that polygamy is a sin under this dispensation then that should make you wonder why.

So many sins were deliberately and clearly named in the new testament some 3 or even more times but when it comes to polygamy it remains a grey area, just mentioned as being a no no for any who would be leaders in Church.

Based on my own personal research I have not found anybody who returned from Captivity who had more than one wife so I am led to believe that Polygamy died while the Israelites were in Captivity not because it was a commandment from God but due to cultural reasons or perhaps they were not allowed by their Captors to marry more than one wife.

Perhaps as a strategy to ensure they do not become a larger population like they were in Egypt.

Male and Female in that verse simply refers to gender and has nothing to do with plurality don’t deceive yourself.

Who told you polygamy is one of the things God no longer tolerates? Back it up with scripture?

Infact, why should we even marry? the same bible said it’s better not to marry I Corinth 7:8-9, 38. Jesus did not marry and he was handsome and of age, neither did Paul and more, so should we not marry?

We will not leave Abraham or David, these men were polygamist and were also God’s favorites.
I don’t think marriage was all that important in God’s mission, if anything it was a distraction. if you can handle one distraction, good and if you can handle two or more distractions better otherwise its best to be unmarried like Jesus, like Paul, etc

The Bible clearly states that men of God (ministers, pastors) should not be polygamists.
Nothing about it to the rest of us.
However, for peace of mind, better to stick to one woman.

Your assertions are not entirely correct.
It depends on the angle you are looking from though.

Several scriptures spoke against adultery and other sins but not one that i know off spoke against polygamy.
If polygamy was that bad like adultery, Several scriptures would capture it.

This doesn't mean i support polygamy. It's for clarity sake.

At least they have different dictionary meanings.

God is same yesterday, today and forever.
God is even more merciful in our dispensation than the men of the old testament.
So what are the things he won't tolerate with us that he tolerated with our patriarchs?

With the exception of bishops, God never gave any clear commands on polygamy in the Bible. Christiandom adopted monogamy as part of the Church tenets and foundational Christian living, based on Adam and Eve. If God never made several wives for Adam, then it stands to godly reason that God never intends for men to marry more than one wife. That is the only explanation I can give.

Yeah polygamy breeds all manner of evil
If you research into the family unit when our forefathers where practicing polygamy. There were hidden bitterness and quarrells amongst the wives and childrens

Example my paternal grandfather married 2 wives and my maternal grandfather married three wives and I know how the troubles it brought

Infact some of the wives went deeply diabolical and affected some of the children even till today

But my parents learnt from it and maintained there monogamy Union over 4 decades now

Polygamy breeds all kinds of evils

Morover women then were not exposed, if it's today's educated and exposed woman you talk say you want marry another, she may even Kil you or waste your life.
Even the men keeping side chicks hide to do it, some not wanting there madam to know
