Assailants on Wednesday hacked the village chief of Osewu community in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Abubakar Omazi, and 16 others in the area to death.

He said the assailants invaded the community in their large number with sophisticated weapons and attacked some residents with cutlasses.

He said among the victims was the vice chairman of vigilante in the community.

He said some of the bodies were recovered from the bush and had been buried in line with the Islamic rites.

The council chairman, Nuhu Dauda and some security operatives were said to have visited the community.

When contacted, the spokesman of the Nasarawa State Police Command, Ramhan Nansel, said the command was yet to receive information about the incident.

Also, bandits yesterday killed no fewer than 13 people in an attack on Damaga community in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Eyewitnesses said dozens of armed men arrived on motorcycles, firing at residents.

“They arrived at the community around 1pm and started shooting people. Students were taking lessons at the Day Secondary School in the community, but on sighting the armed criminals, they abandoned the classrooms and scampered for safety.

“As I’m talking to you, the bodies of the victims are being recovered and we’ve concluded arrangements for their burials,” a resident, who identified as Musa Damaga, told Daily Trust.

The spokesman of the state police command, SP Muhammad Shehu, when contacted by our corresponent, said: “Give me sometime. I will get back to you.”

are those people cowards or what??
despite their high numbers of banalawos and their cultist boys, they still allow slim fulani who's not strong enough to shoot rifle for minutes to chase them out of their community consistently.
if it was ambush, I might understand but when the ambush continues consistently.
then I can say outrightly that these people are cowards.
if na to attack innocent hausa traders to steal their goods, their muscle dey long but now Fulani when dey deal with them steady for bush, nothing them fit do.
rubbish..

Gbamstically.....But Ogun village witch would be very fast to strike to kill anyone seeming to be successful, e turn fulani now even their ogbonge witch dey run go benin republic

Lol. Its a shame. grin

I remember warning and warning on this site. Some of us have been warning. But I realised that Yorubas are not really that perceptive. They are pure simpletons. Anytime we talked, they will say let's use politics to achieve the right thing.

See where we are now. See what zoo politics has caused. There are a few Yorubas on this platform I am meant to CURSE. That it will never be well with them and their offspring but I will desist from doing so.

Until Yorubas face a civil war with the Nigerian state like the Biafras, I don't see their eyes opening much. Many of them are unbelievably naive

And that useless fufu head governor of Ogun state kept lying that there are no refugees in Benin. Government of lies and deceit. I hate Nigeria with everything in me. Such a useless governor.

Yorubas when you are ready for a revolution, let's know. I told us to forget #EndSARS. A revolution was what was needed. A violent bloody one.

That Yewa stretch is very important to the fulani expansionist agenda. Yewa is a border region with access to Republic of Benin. The fulanis hope to control that area to give them access to Republic of Benin.

Last year, Republic of Benin dealt seriously with fulani herdsmen, killed their cows and chased them out of the country, hence the herdsmen ran to Yewa area and started their nonsense there.

In the early 2000s, Buhari came to Oyo State and asked Lam Adesina the then Governor that "Why are your people killing my people". Lam blasted him and thoroughly scolded him. It is that same Buhari that the Ooni is going to meet because Fulanis were displaced in Oyo. You think Buhari doesn't know what he is doing?

Don't be deceived, all fulanis both high and low are aware this. Do you know that during the border closure, Yewa people were not allowed to move goods in and out of Benin Republic but Dangote and Rabiu, both Fulanis from faraway Kano were given clearance by Buhari another fulani man from faraway Katsina to import goods from Benin Republic through the closed borders in Yewa.
What happened during the border closure and what is happening now is not mere coincidence.

The attacks are being coordinated at the highest level.

Anybody who tells you that president Mohammadu Buhari is still alive is suffering from the spirit of insanity.
Buhari cannot be alive and his wife travelled out of the country for more than six months. It is called HARAM in Islam.
Let an Islamic scholar come and defend this or forever remain silent!

You Igbos should learn to mind your business and stop being "beast of no nation".

We will see how this will end for the entire Nigeria, especially you lot and Fulanis, when Yorubas fully get the message that we need to change our ways and approach to the Nigerian idea of nationhood only the SW appear to be subscribing to.

Is a shame all the Yoruba elites has keep mute to this act but prefer to validate their membership in a political party . How did we get here as a nation. We were warned in 2015 but because of hatred for GEJ they refused to listen. Today they have romanced with the worst tribe that is bent in turning Nigeria to their home land.

Another dumb comment. So dumb a comment. No head or tail.

Exactly what I was saying. We Yorubas are not perceptive and firmly rooted. Just blowing up and down like wind. Neither here nor there. Yapping rubbish. What is the meaning of this comment? When Yorubas fully get the message... So they have not 'fully' got the message till now? Then they can't get the message again.

Subscribing ko, validating ni. O o l'oro so jare, baba ko oshi danu.

If Buhari will talk he’ll say let’s learn to respect each other the Nigerian police will go there and say they have restored peace and everyone is going about their business, the governor will deny there was an attack. The End

According to him, “After killing our people, they broke into residential buildings, stole their belongings and looted shops.

They raided a phone shop, carted away several expensive phones. A lot of our people have left for villages in Benin Republic for fear of being subjected to another attack by the mindless herdsmen.

Very unfortunate..

I thought Yoruba defeated fulani during oshogbo war ? , or did such war only exist in yoruba history ?

You have said this thousand times already.

Try and do something different, now.

Look, 2 pages of this thread and 99% responses belonging to Igbos alone from the over 300 ethnic groups in Nigeria.

Are you guys not tired of being "beast of no nation" disgracing yourselves everywhere with your ideological vagrancy and homelessness?

Yorubas are not sleeping trust me. You guys should mind your own business and your own headaches because the Yorubas have far less problems and a much brighter future than you Igbos with your barren and unproductive land plus unfeasibly large and discontented populace who keep leaving the SE in droves daily.

Bright Yorubas know that Igbos, out of the 300 ethnic groups of Nigeria, are most involved in the affairs of Yorubas because you want to be Yorubas and to be fully involved, at all levels of life, in the SW.

You lot are a stateless and homeless disgrace. Look at your ethnic group and ask why you alone behave like this and you will realize it is because you hate yourselves and the SE you are coming from and want to be Yorubas from the SW by all means.

Yoruba thread and 99% bitter and very personal responses from Igbos. It ain't rocket science guys. Una no dey mentally healthy.
