Wrong! World bank and IMF is certainly not controlled by america.
The President of the World Bank, since its inception, has always been an American while the Managing Director of the IMF, since its inception too, has always been an European.

There is a solar thread here on nairaland. You will learn alot and set up a very reliable system if you follow the instructions there.

That's how I set up my own solar system and its been serving me well for 3 years now.

The lady isn't smart

I don't think he's a lady. Someone with his level of insight is definitely a guy.

To the ladies in the house, I am not saying ladies are any less so. Just that society and Nigerian society in particular, has set a role for the female gender and the females are playing it very well. We like our women intellectually lacking and aesthetically pleasing. Big butts, firm boobs and fine face. grin

The cost of Tesla car is reducing because of breakthrough in battery technology . The chinese are also making cheaper versions. Las las second hand market go dey. Just the mobile phones were first expensive before everyone could afford them. It may take a long time, but there would be a time the country would have no choice

Lol, you they compare car with mobile phones lol. grin

I get what you may be driving at but it doesn't work like that. The cheapest Tesla is current $38k, that's about 20m. So you're saying it will become 2m in 10 years because of innovation grin

Something we are not discussing here is how renewable energy usually have higher upfront costs. A basic 1kv solar set up may cost 200k, gen of that size fit no pass 40k. Also solar setup works for basic appliances, i no sure say e go carry A.C and if you get mad sun for your side you still need gen.

Summary of it all. Petrol will be in demand in Africa for at least next 15 years.

I still think the initial setup costs are crazy and I'm not sure how much of this will be driven down by innovation. Specifically for cars, it's a no-go-area, the infrastructural deficit we have cannot allow for renewable energy support in the next 20 years.

Initial set up may be expensive but considering fueling, repair and maintenance/servicing, it's best you go for electric cars and renewable energy especially now that we are advocating for a better climate.

Believe you me Fuel and AGO are going nowhere in the next 20 or even 30 years in Africa. I can bet my left balls on that grin grin. My neigbbour bought a 996 toyota camry and the celebration here is as if he bought a 2020 range rover. I still see the old model benz 230 plying our roads all the time. From my personal experience solar power is not that reliable, aside the high cost of setting it up getting adequate sunlight is like a tug of war. Africa is not yet set for renewable source of energy to power our homes, offices and cars.

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, says Nigeria would have started producing its own oil if Dangote Refinery had existed years ago.

She said this during her visitation to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Monday.

According to her, the President/Chief Executive, Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, should have been encouraged be encouraged in his efforts to build a refinery in the country.

From emmasoft who is still banned. As you rightly said, there is incentive fees for fund managers in mutual funds which makes the displayed rate as net for some funds, depending on the managers.

There is management incentive for VGIF, the difference is where the incentives come from which differs from other types of funds and it is one of the uniqueness of VGIF.

No incentive is deducted from the guaranteed rate (SDF) which is currently 4.5%

All incentives come from the excess returns above the SDF.

Here is the excess above SDF sharing formula for VGIF: 35% of excess above SDF for investors of fund, 15% of excess above SDF revenue reserve of the fund, 50% of excess above SDF is incentive fees for the fund managers and fees for other parties to the fund.

This is a win win situation for investors in VGIF, since fund managers always get paid from the excess above SDF, they strive to always have excess above SDF because no excess no pay and once there is excess the investors get additional earnings above the guaranteed rate.

In this case, the current 4.5% is the least all investors will get, they will always get more.

Thank you @Donbrig for being there to help out.
