Ravi Zacharias: Tribute to a Pious Exemplar

I mourn from a distance, bacause, I never met him, but he has been a ubiquitous figure during my nascent adulthood till now.. I would read his books, listen to his messages and podcast and, everytime, I learnt something new. It was refreshing listening to a Christian Apologist who not only understood the mesaage but lived his life to the dictates and injunctions of the Bible. He was meek, gentle, discerning, committed, honest, passionate, spiritual and, dare I say - immaculate.

He had an infectious wisdom that gives calm to even the most hostile of question and environment. He would say " there is no need to give someone a rose to smell when you cut off their nose." I remembered when he told the story of his suicidal experience and the accompanying Bible passage his grand mother gave him to read, which says, "because I live, you also shall live." After that, he has spent the rest of his life trying to make "the believer think, and thinker believe." He was inimitable in his delivery of masterful messages that are refulgent to the denuded mind.

When I listened to "the haunting specter of guilty", I was my God, such a profound message, and it could only be delivered with such acute transcendence by only Ravi zacharias. Whenever he rendered the parable of the madman by Nietzsche it came with new and trenchant insight and always reinforced the message that humanity cannot live and thrive in a Godless universe. With Ravi gone to meet "The Grand Weaver" , mankind has lost one of its spiritual, family and moral Vanguards.

Time has watered his deed and he will now forever be remembered as one of the greatest Apologist of the Christian faith. And it behooves those of us whom his messages touched and bleesed to continue the good fight through our deeds, life, and actions; else, the fate of mankind may be left in the hand of fools and immoralitist.

Goodbye My Dear Ravi Zacharias; you were truly an Apologist with a Touch.
Cordially,
A Transformed Son.

He was one Overhyped wacko tho, I didn't know him all through when he was alive when he died I started hearing dagring hear and there had to download few of his singles and i was really disappointed, He was well known when he died than when he was alive same thing with the likes of Goldie, tagbo and Dj olu. What do i know though embarassed

It wasn't anybody's fault that you didn't know Dagrin before he passed on, so I am forced to overlook your ignorance. But Dagrin was a colossus - otherwise, ask yourself why after seven years since his demise he is still been remembered, not only by family or close kin, but by the nation at large. Before he died, he was one of the most featured artist in our music industry...

But a little education doesn't go amiss... If lord of Ajasa was John the Baptist of Indegineous yoruba rap, Dagrin was Jesus. His flow and delivery were nonpareiled, (with sauce kid coming a distant second) and the content of his lyrics was prescient, no wonder he foretold his death. Dagrin left a chasm in Nigeria's music industry that is too big to be filled by today's half baked rappers. He was called a 'rap general' by MI, countless tributes and eulogies were sang for him, and he was only just twenty two.

Dagrin stood out because he used rap as a tool to alleviate himself from the miasma of poverty and the cocoon of underachievement. He saw the Nigerian reality, hence, he called himself lyrically mad, because he knew the bar he was about to set can only be matched by indigenous rap paragons. Alas, today, we will hold our breath for the next revolutionary yoruba rapper.

But the life of Dagrin has left sour taste in our mouths, making us always reminisce what might have been if he were still alive. But even in death, he still seats on a throne he made for himself through hardwork, sheer talent dedication and an iota of madness. 'Omo Ogun' indeed, with lyrics like a machine gun... Rip Dagrin (da greatest rapper in Nigeria) as an anonymous once called you.

Happy 30th birthday to you... Your legacy will forever remain buried in some of us. I still miss you.

Sex is life.

Don't shortchange yourself.
Eat the fruit of life raw.

Skin to skin is the best...
Remember, something must kill a man.
If you must use any protection, use anointing oil to lubricate bless your preek and sanctify the kpekus then you are good to go.

What is the essence of using a condom to prevent dying from gonorrhea when malaria can still kill you faster? undecided

Something must kill a man but you forgot to add: it's better for a man to die when it is appointed or when he can surely look in hindsight and say to himself " I have lived a good life. " if truly something must kill a man, the desire and strive for legacy is nonsensical and a ruse, since according to you, life should end in futility.

If you truly believe what you say, why not accelerate your allusions by taking poison or jumping into the front of a moving train. My dear man, hedonism is a cul de sac. That is why it was vehemently refuted and assailed by the Epicureans who believed cerebral and not physiological pleasure should be life's goal.

But your problem is different because you are not a hedonist, else you would have known that all men are idolaters of pleasure, hence no one wants to relinquish it or die once they have tested pleasure, especially the kind money, wealth and sex give. Rather you are a closet nihilist who believes if life cannot be productive in the Aristotelian sense, then it should be annihilated and benothinged through reckless and dastardly pursuit in the name of pleasure seeking and untenable ipse dixit. Ergo, I assure you, all nihilist have one thing in common, that is, an optation to transcend life, either through productivity or destruction.

On a final note I leave you with the words of Paulo Coelho " A life that ends with death is a life not well lived."

Celebrities / Re: 7 Years After, DAGRIN Still Lives On” - See What People Are Saying About Him by posterity(m): 4:21pm On Apr 23, 2017
Dagrin was a cynosure in a budding indigenous rap industry. But Yoruba hiphop died the day dagrin was laid to rest. I see articles online asking and comparing artises who has lived up to Dagrins legacy, but i cringe and stutter in dismay because such comparisons are ludicrous. Its obvious am an avowed fan of dagrin, and i always reminisce what would have been had he not meet his inexorable death. For me one thing is sure though, some chasms are not meant to be filled, and the great akogun is one of those who has left a gaping abyss in the anals of 9ja indigenous rap industry. I will forever remain nostalgic when i listen to his songs becos it takes me to an eerie place where i feel transcendental abt life's issues. Is it pon pon pon, everyday, ghetto dream, thank God, which ever song u listen to he did not shy away from talking abt social issues and his upbringing. Am tempted to say he was real, but dat word wouldnt cut it, because dagrin was an idealist was dreamt of a better life even when he was in squalor and under he snare of poverty.

He truly has lyrics like a machine gun that's why he called himself lyrical wehrey. Wehrey in dis context does not stand for d Yoruba word mad, rather it denotes madness. So Dagrin was in state of lyrical madness, he was swimming in lyrical abundance that was beyond the gamut of the average rap artist in nigeria. In fact i could postulate that he saw rap reality and knew rap was a tool for him to reach millions of young boys and girls, which he did emphatically in his ghetto dreams, reminiscing about what he has gone through. And for every man who sees reality, an iota of madness is a concomitant symptom.

He was not the kind of omoita who did not believe in hard work, he was not the kind of omoita who believe in expropriating things from others. Rather he was the omoita that believe in hope, even though forlorn and who had confidence in his abilities to alleviate himself through his lyrics. He was d omoita who kept his eyes on the pacific and the horizon, because he believed in unlimitedness and d power of his dream. Dagrin was a giant in an arena previously dominated by pgymies. And his greatest legacy was that he bequeathed an unadulterated indigenous rap industry to his scions and pretentious heirs.
Farewell dagrin: da greatest rapper in nigeria, and dis acronym is not make believe, image laundering or window dressing.

Romance / Re: Ladies! There’s No Such Thing As A Mr. Right. by posterity(m): 8:14pm On Dec 29, 2016
i agree tacitly to some of your allusions, because some of our girls have romanticized this unhealthy idea of a man solving all their problems. however, i disagree with you because i have been trying all my life to make my self RIGHT for a particular girl. i think the concept of mr right is vague and ambiguous, because it doesnt mean a man must come with all the best qualities in the world, it means that for all our foibles and warts , there is someone out there who is willing to accept us.

so if you ask me how do i knw if someone is right for me, i will say its when home went from being a place to being a person.

why do w always look for easy answers for the predicaments that confounds us... anyways to ur thread, love is all about sacrifices, and dat is wat i feel yur brother has been doing for her- making exceptions. however, if her attitude is truly as bad aas you claimed, then she will soon get found out, after all character our elders say is like pregnancy, thus it cannot be hidden.

So i suggest, U give ur brother sometime, but still do you part by insinuating and making tacit assertions on how you feel about his girlfriend.
