1. One cannot find much difference between a Bachelors of Science degree and Bachelors of Science (Hons) degree.

2. Three years are needed to complete a Bsc degree, and four years for the completion of a Bsc (Hons) degree.

3. The Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree is considered to be superior to the Bachelor of Science degree.

4. The Bsc (Hons) is considered to be, academically, more standard than the ordinary Bsc degree.

5. A student will have to write a dissertation for the completion of a Bsc (Hons) degree. On the other hand, this is not mandatory for a Bsc degree.

6. A Bsc degree is easier to obtain than a Bsc (Hons) degree.

sometimes i can't but wonder why some people have problem with comprehension.as clearly stated in the piece, nobody question whether the Niger Deltans contribute greatly towards Nigerian economy, but only asked whether they are really MARGINALIZED, as their elders and leaders made it to look.

The South southern Niger-Delta states consists of Rivers State (5,185,400) Delta State (4,098,391) Akwa Ibom State (3,920,208) Cross River State (2,888,966) Bayelsa State (1,703,358) Edo State (3,218,332) and a collective populations of 21, 014, 655.(http://www.informationng.com/2009/04/nigerian-states-by-population.html)
The states; Akwa ibom (135. 84bn), Rivers (99.67bn), Delta (95. 77), Bayelsa (82. 04bn) Edo (30. 27bn) Cross river (26. 50bn) collectively receives a whopping allocation of N470. 09bn from the Federal Government between January- June 2014. (Many thanks to 13% oil derivation formula).
The region has 2 special ministries; Ministry of Niger-Delta Affairs and Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC specifically setup to alienate the suffering of the people of the region. Also, it was reported that the amnesty programme which has been engaged in the training of youths of the region at various institutes in Ghana, South Africa, the Philippines, Russia, Ukraine and India, amongst others, has gulped $1 billion since 2009. The amnesty programme should be a holistic plan to be vigorously pursued to provide the Niger Delta region a face-lift and empower the people, especially in view of the failure of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs to justify their existence.(http://dailyindependentnig.com/2013/05/niger-delta-amnesty-programme-and-fgs-1b expenditure/)
Comparatively, the North West, the alleged region marginalizing the other and most populous region of the country with a population of 35, 786, 944 receives an allocation of N255.98bn from the Federal government within the same duration. Conclusively, the “marginalized” Niger-Deltans has a per capita allocation of N22, 408. 17, while the ALLEGED marginalizer, the North West has a per capita allocation of N7, 152. 89. A paltry 32% of per capita allocation of the “marginalized” Niger-Deltans. The Niger Delta deservedly merited the whopping allocation allotted to the region for being the region where the largest revenue of the country is being generated. But they are no way MARGINALIZED, in fact the TWIST is, they are just an OLIVER.

i dont think it is GREED but rather POWER SHARING among 5 Eastern states. but wait o, if they can't agree on a choice of leader for just 2 terms, can they really live together in BIAFRA Republic? your guess is as good as mine. the truth an average South Easterner is not subjected to anybody (traditional rulers inclusive). but to achieve UNISON, somebody has to quite and listen to others. point of address; if you can't learn from the South West or North West, North Central is a perfect model for the South Easterners to learn from; despite diverse cultural, tribal religious differences, they still rallied support for David Mark, am sure they will extend the same to Saraki or Akume in a couple of days
