Politics / Almost Every Nigerian Pays Tax. What Has The FG Done With Your VAT? by Powerintoxicate: 10:19pm On Apr 21, 2020
I've been reading comments from some Nigerians saying the reason why the federal government can't pay NIGERIANS the way foreign governments have been paying their citizens is cos Nigerian s don't pay tax. If I may ask can the FG account for the billions of naira it collects from all of us as VAT? Not to talk of the PAY AS YOU EARN.

THE government is just been irresponsible if they refuse to pay stay at home stipends

A. Pallatives less than 5K

B. Pallatives more than 5K

C. Nothing

D. All of the above

Call a spade a spade. We are all in a ZOO.
don't mind the guy. Almost everyone in Nigeria pays tax with the Value added Tax. What has the govt done for you with the VAT it collects almost daily?

The way kano is racing eh. However seriously speaking the shutdown will definitely need to be extended. The government has to Dole out huge sums of money round the country to force people to stay at home. Also we need to scale up testing to a very high level.

Coronavirus is no joke. It's better we all tackle it now or else New York will be a child's play

A time would come when it will be the FG vs the masses, and i am very sure you all know who would win

Your palliatives didn't reach the poorest of the poor, neither did your compensation (money), i wonder the people that got the palliatives.

In my area i haven't seen any that has gotten, just only on social media.

It is better they find a way to curb this plague, or better still ask people for their individual solutions on how to tackle the damn virus.

I need to fight for the poor, else, them go con rob me for my house.

They just have 7 days to reason, we cannot continue to be on lock-down when they ain't feeding us.

How would parent pay their children school fees next term?

How would tenants pay their house rent this year?

How would people that have perishable goods in their various shops feel when they resume and see that everything has been damaged?

How would the daily earners feed during this lock down?

How would company pay their employees this period?

Most importantly, how am i gonna complete my building when my tenants have been at home for three weeks of which i pity for them. Now i can't collect my rent to complete my building. I have made it free till when the lock down is over.

Imagine a married woman in her 30's asking me to lend her 5k to feed her children, even if it means spending a night that she doesn't care..

I had to give her 10k and zoomed off after advising her not to sell her body.

This people in power don't know what's supping on the streets, how people live day-by-day.

Let us just know one thing, it shall come to past all these sufferings we are all facing now.
oh nice. You gave her 10k while there have been so many guys here asking for just 1k. Well done

You know that's the best choice of anybody from the east...forget about the talk of the agitation being for the poor people. We want to be like Ghana, Rwanda or Mauritius who have smaller population but are doing well...especially have PEACE.

When the flags were raised in the east...they didn't encroach on your land, but you guys are the most who are against it...even the northerners are gradually accepting the fact. So don't patronize people by saying nobody is stopping you at all.
who told you Ghana and rwanda are both doing well. Have you lived in Ghana before? Sure you don't want to. When Sudan split what is happening to South Sudan?

That's why you should fight for your own country, at least you can keep in tact the reputation of ritual killings, armed robbery, incest, child rape. agbero etc that is ravaging Yoruba land to your country only

Channel your energy towards curbing armed robberies and ritual killings in Yoruba communities first.charity begins at home
you guys that fought for your COUNTRY where did it land you? Two million people killed leader of the war running away to Ivory coast? Wasn't that the end of your fight? Your new leader now is cooling off ran away from the country leaving you the foolish ones behind

You must not die in one Nigeria. Seek for your own country if you hate your fellow countrymen. You hate Igbos yet you want to share the same country with them. Don't you have shame? You people are suffering from inferiority complex. The fact that you are afraid of being on your own shows that you people don't even trust nor have confidence in your own people. You guys are afraid of what your future will look like being left in the midst of ritualist, agbero, charlatans etc.

Your guys always want good for only yourselves. That is wickedness. That's why your villages are littered with bastards with no father or mother. Your people in mushin can no longer sleep because of hateful criminals like you. Should we blame Igbo for that too?

Charity begins at home. Worry about your crime infested Yoruba communities and leave Igbos alone. They are not reason why child rape are increasingly rampant in your communities.

Get sense Mr Yoruba man.
who said the yorubas are scared of it's own country? The igbos can't leave together and hate each other. Even the anambra man feels the ebonyi man is inferior to him. An anambra person doesn't want to marry an igbo person outside anambra and you say you love yourselves. What a joke. The average igbbbo man is a traitor dishonest and wicked. That why the British hates you guys. The yorubas have the coastline oil cocoa intelligent people well educated and brilliant administrators and you think they don't want to be on their own? The last time igbos held these are presidency they were killing each other over the position. For the first and only time in Nigeria history Nigeria had 5 Senate presidents in eight years. Wicked people

Like noI said, worry about your dilapidated villages and urban slums. Charity begins at home. Cultism, ritual killings, armed robbery are rife in Yoruba communities that should be your focus. In a Yoruba town like ijebu ode, banks cannot open until police armoured personal carrier are stationed there because of incessant armed robberies. Your people are known for so many social vices. Worry about them not Igbos.
nobody wants an igbbbo man as a tenant. If not for one Nigeria all of you easterners would have been sent out. You don't have land every land is erosion prone. Social vices are very high. If not for bakassi boys in the 90s you guys would have all eaten yourselves by now. The only place where they eat human beings bin Africa is in the southeast. Infact there it is a delicacy

Nonsense as usual. Basking in self delusion as usual. Do you yorubas have any boundary with Igbos? Why are you not worrying about your people? What does Igbo hate Igbo nonsense has to do with wickedness that pervades the entire Yoruba villages? Don't you people have shame? Crimes are surging in both your towns and villages yet you are not worried. Don't you people have value for yourselves?

Your Yoruba people that are neckdeeped in ritual killings are comparing themselves with English people. How many agbero or one million boys criminals have you seen roaming the streets of London?

Don't you have shame?
what a joke. Have you been to London? Do you know how many gangs are in London? Who started ritual killings in Nigeria? Is ezeego a Yoruba man? How many so called rich igbo men can you point to who have made their money without commiting one fraud or crime or the other. Fraud and the verage easterner goes hand in hand that's why you guys are been sent away from South Africa and Ghana Kenya.

CALABAR AND LOKOJA WERE NEVER CAPITALS OF NIGERIA.

THAT IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY LIES YORUBA THIRD WORLD MEDIA TELL.
Calabar was seen as the first capital of Nigeria during British Colonial rule before it was moved to Lagos in 1906, before finally taken to Abuja in 1991.

Genius should be dying to be on their own not begging for restructuring.
the English ensured the Scottish never left the United Kingdom. Does that make the English man not ingenious? The Yorubas don't need the igbos. It's just that if the igbos leave and a civil war begins within Biafra the number of refugees the Yorubas will deal with would be something you don't want to think about. The average igbo man hates his fellow igbo man and that's a fact. Just look at that video of two igbo men in enugu who killed each other over their wives. Imagine

Yes the ingenuity of yorubas made lagos but they are unable to replicate that in the other 5 south west states... Joke of the century.
have you been to ogun state recently? Do you see the magic in Ibadan? That's why the yorubas are demanding for restructuring. Apart from London how many cities in England have the English been able to turn around as London? Cos they not Federal. Restructure Nigeria today and see the whole South weather transform magically. Today the gdp of ogun state alone is alone finishing off the whole if the south east. Nigerias music industry which is number one in Africa is controlled by the Yorubas. The banking industry number one in Africa. Look the Yorubas dont only control Nigeria the Yorubas control Africa. Go and fact check

IS IT NOT A SHAME THAT PEOPLE ARE SHOWING OFF HOW INDIVIDUALS BUILT AND DEVELOP ONITSHA FROM A VILLAGE.

AND THE BEST U CAN COME UP WITH IS LAGOS, THE FORMER CAPITAL OF NIGERIA UP UNTIL THE 1990s, WEN NIGERIA CAPITAL WAS MOVED TO ABUJA.

LAGOS AN AREA BUILT WITH THE COLLECTIVE WEALTH OF ALL NIGERIANS, ESPECIALLY THE OIL IN NIGERDELTA.

LAGOS HAS NEVER BEEN FOR YORUBA ALONE AND IT WILL NEVER BE SO NOT UNTIL NIGERIA IS DIVIDED.
Calabar and lokoja were once capitals. Look the advantage Calabar has today it cos it was a former capital. So why not go to Calabar? The ingenuity of the Yorubas has what has made Lagos and the British confirmed this. Ogun state alone will finish off that village called ananbea. Ibadan is a dream Land to most igbos
