But no wahala, lets continue with the new oligarchs and emperors that put us in Band A while doing solar for the villa so that the remaining 100 of us that are alive by 2031 can finally enjoy 24hrs power after hanging his cap outside our door. He forgot to add Transmission. You would have done well to help him insert that. Abi no be three legs tripod dey get? 10,000MW and Distribution then boom, light every where. Boom, power problem solved. It is doable in the four years he swore to spend. Including making our universities some of the best in Africa not even to go too far. pluto09: I think the country already has the capacity to generate 10,000 megawatts of electricity. One major problem is transmission and another one is a competitive tarrif . But someone who has been to Egypt thinks the solution to Nigeria' s power problem is generating 10,000 MW from the moon. Truth is, not until people get there before they know the problem is deep. If anyone is elected today and spends the entire first four years facing a problematic sector in Nigeria, he cannot solve HALF the problem. Not until aspirants recognizes the fact that the education sector starts from the primary to the tertiary with all the attachments. Not until they recognizes the fact therein in the health sector. The seemingly simple one, the sport, na when you face am you go know wetin dey. But of course, all are saying what there supporters wants to hear. |

Today, the FG is owing the companies several billions in unpaid subsidy spanning many years.
Even if subsidy is totally removed, it will still take a couple of years before we get any significant improvement.
It is a catch 22 situation. And some one who wants to spend just four years thinks that adding 10,000 megawatts will solve all the problems. |

HacheNoire: It’s a political tactics among politicians!
Make the poor masses to believe a certain poor sect of the country is the reason for the problem of the citizens.
It played out in the US too where citizens believe Alejandro picking fruits in a farm is the reason why healthcare and tertiary education is expensive.
Lagos is also a typical example! Where indigenes believe non indigenes are the reason for the fast retrogression of the state in education, healthcare and security. Your state will be tooooo glad to compete in the three areas you mentioned. I have just given you the attention you actually want. If Lagos is fast retrogression, I wonder what your own state is. Try and mention your state when you want to respond. Surprisingly, even in the retrogrrssing state of Lagos, it still maintains it's position as the London and America of your folks WHO ARE READY TO SQUEEZE THEMSELVES AS ATTACHMENT FOR A TWELVE HOURS MIDNIGHT JOURNEY TO BE THERE. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ppogba: 1:24pm On Jun 01 |
Valthegreat: One thing is clearly obvious on all these political debate. People that support the status quo which is APC are not clearly saying that Tinubu will win in a free and fair election, they are either of the opinion that no one can get it right or that no body can win the master of rigging while those that support the opposition are mostly saying that they will vote and protect their votes which means they want it to be counted one by one. My question now is which part love this project called Nigeria? For how long are we going to continue to support a country that the foundation is almost changing to corruption. Why can't we all with one voice support a free and fair election so that who ever wins will be at least the real votes of the majority. One thing is certain, no country in the world has ever achieved development through corruption, all developed countries of the world got there by being aversed to the canker worm called corruption, China, Japan, USA, Germany etc all got to where they are today because they frown at corruption and can spend 20years tracing just a single corrupt practice in other to protect their country. But the opposite happens in Nigeria, we support the evil called corruption when it benefits our tribe or religion and that's a sign of a country going no where. How did you arrive at the conclusion that " people that support Tinubu are not saying clearly, Tinubu can will win in a free and fair election"? Have they ever spoken to you in the dream or through parables before? Where have you heard them pronounce it that Tinubu can only win through rigging? How did you come to the conclusion that the supporters of Tinubu do not support the idea of protecting their votes and are not ready to protect their votes or are against supporters of other candidates protecting their votes? What makes you think we all are not in support of free and fair election? What makes you think your candidate has never been involved and will not be involved in an election that is not free and fair as long as it takes him to his destination. One thing gave you away as an emergency lover of Nigeria. And that is, mentioning Japan, China, USA etc. Bottom line: Non of them is a saint. Most of them have held positions before. All of them rigged before and will rig again. Politics goes beyond sentiments. The earlier people like you realize it, the better. |

isaacosas01: Now we are saying truth. The only way Tinubu wins is by rigging. Lets stops painting the truth - Tinubu chance is only by Rigging, no one will vote for him.
But i dare say this will not be like the last elections, more people will come out, more people are angry. It will be impossible for Tinubu to win by rigging. I wanted to comment when I saw your first comment on this political issue but refrained from commenting hoping others will do likewise so that we don't derail this particular thread from what it is meant for. Be that as it may, you will do well to learn how to debate issues without sentiments but with logic. Earlier , you said all the people around you said they will not vote for Tinubu and I began to wonder whether you have like 8million people around you that can vote for your party and candidate. I will give you some facts which though debatable, may not be palatable. * The Governors of Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Edo will most likely deliver their states. * With the siting Governor in Kano, Ganduje and Shekarau, it is only a naive political analyst that will write Tinubu off. * Any analyst that says Tinubu will not win the SW including Oyo should stop deluding themselves. And for as many as your ilk that are talking about rigging, they should remember that No Contestant in the last election can swear before Ogun and Amadioha concerning that. There supporters may deny but the internet is there. Finally, whoever is still expecting that the Transmission of results that can be highjacked by techies will be adopted during the coming election should better wake up or ........ |
