If we want to qualify for the WC, then boys need to win every match from March 2025 onwards. Draws will not cut it.

🗞 Al-Kass, a Saudi Arabian media outfit, has revealed CAF's verdict on the Libya-Nigeria incident.

According to the media outfit, Nigeria will be awarded 3 points & 3 goals. For breaching CAF's statutes, Libya will be banned from playing at home for 3 matches, including a fine

If true, then the punishment ought to be harsher. This whole debacle has tarnished CAF's reputation

Genuine question:

If there are two governments in Libya, which controls air traffic and transportation investigations? What if the clearance to land came from one government and the order to divert came from the other ?

Congrats to Sudan, their people need that victory. As for Ghana, schadenfreude is a sin. They could've voiced support during our tribulations in Libya, but instead mocked us during what was arguably a highly dangerous situation. South Africa will get theirs soon.

This is whole situation is why I am reserved in voicing any support for the situation in Palestine. I blame CAF for tolerating and allowing North African teams and their antics over the years.

This is what happens when you don't invest in your local league. North African dominance of the continental cups have given them bragging rights at the table. South Africa is the only sub Sahara nation that can flex some financial and influential strength due to their league's success and vast resources.

Libya shouldn't have had their ban lifted. I'm still skeptical of the federal power arrangement and the Haftar situation

At 27, Iwobi already has 81 caps for Nigeria. From the look of things, he can still give us another 6 solid years.

Love that for him. We need African players to reach Thuram-esque and Ronaldo-esque longevity in international football. This was also the man who scored the strike against Zambia that sent us to Russia in 2018. History will look upon him kindly.
