The Super Eagles are losing to the Super Eagles.
We are undoing ourselves. The Congolese are simply waiting and trying to exploit our erroneous back passes. Communication and passing needs to improve on our backline.
The regression of Lookman at both club and national level is quite a site to behold. |

How did that pass by Bassey get fumbled? See what it's led to now?
Anyways the Congolese were going to bring their A game. Game on. |

mrwilliams9: Osimhen might break Yekini's goal record by the time AFCON is over...but let's be honest, 37 goals as the highest goal scorer for a nation like Nigeria is quite low. Eto is Cameroon's highest goal scorer with 51. Salah is on 61 goals for Egypt, Drogba had 65 by the time he retired.
I think SE has had an issue in building teams with longevity. From tournament to tournament, things are always changing.
Honestly, Osimhen can break the African goal-scoring record (79 goals) held by Godfrey Chitalu from Zambia. Between AFCONQ, AFCON, WCQ and WC, games dey. It is also due to the lower amount of international games played. NFF must regularly schedule multiple friendlies during international break. |

Nigeria does not need this. What we need is private sector investment and a government that builds the infrastructure and cultivates a entrepreneur friendly environment. |

I still maintain that the bonus dispute was BS. There's no way you boycott training and then drop 4 goals on a determined Gabonese side. I'm not buying it lol. This is Eric Chelle playing head games with opponents. |

Goke7: The boys should have waited till Afcon to try this stunt, by then they would have more supporters of this kind of prank. Doing this now does not portray us a serious nation who wants to be in the World Cup. Looking like a cover just in case we don’t qualify You don't want them to upload stunts like this? Pay them. It's that simple. |

Eric Chelle managed to pull this team from the catacombs of missing a 2nd straight world cup and has given us a new lease on life with this playoff route. And the best NFF can give the team is a dilapidated hotel? I honestly hope Iwobi is joking and that the hotel itself is decent |

ChrisKels: Like someone rightly said, our defensive depth is so poor. Zaidu is an average left back but he is way better than Bruno. Bruno is very poor. I have seen Agụ play, I was not impressed. I wonder why our coach doesn't want to give Torunarigha a chance in that left back.
Another very poor defender we have is Osayi Samuel. I think our coach should try talking to Kayode of Brentford.
By the way, those of you who have been following Besiktas games, how good has been Uduokhai? He would not be a bad short-term back up to Bassey. Genuine question: Has there ever been a moment in time where we had a balanced team? I feel like when we solve an issue at one position (e.g. the goalkeeping crisis a few years back) another one pops up. |
