Just like that, Koukibaly will miss the final if Senegal scales through.

I pray for discipline amongst our guys

I might have to think deeper because I can't explain why at the moment, but I find Tunisia's move for Eric Chelle to be HIGHLY disrespectful.
It is disrespectful but time is of the essence for Tunisia. An AFCON victory could see the NFF lock up Chelle for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, Tunisia needs a coach ASAP world cup preparations.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Ppogbae: 10:53pm On Jan 12
I'll be very honest.

Anything short of an AFCON trophy is absolute failure. Having the most silver/bronze medals isn't something to brag about. We have been here so many times before but have fallen short. It's time to seal the deal and get it done.

You guys should expect the Morocco we saw against Cameroon…from the blast of the whistle they will come our with rush giving our players breathless space…but one thing for sure Nigeria will be on the front foot…
na on wednesday Morocco go no wether they are prepared for the world cup or not…so far so good all this our african world cup rep
SA
Algeria
DRC(if they qualify)
CIV
Tunisia
CPV
Ghana
dont know what they are going to the world cup to do….

NIGERIA IS THE REAL WORLD CUP TEST TO ALL OF THEM GOING TO THW WORLD AT THIS AFCON
-If Morocco beats us without ref favour
-If Senegal/Egypt beats eachother and get to the final, then the two finalists(without Nigeria) have a good world cup preparation.

so unfortunately for them, one of them will enter that final, thats obviously Senegal…History will repeat itself again “when Morocco hosted Afcon, the final was between two strong black african rival (Cameroon v Nigeria) while they went ahead to play 3rd place with their North african rival (Algeria v Morocco)

So this year’s final will be:
Senegal v Nigeria

3rd place match will be:
Egypt v Morocco and will still beat them in that game

My fear is now that, hope history will not repeat its that our African rival Senegal will steal the Afcon from us🤦🏽‍♀️
I would not include CIV in this list. They lost valiantly against a quality Egyptian side.

Check out this post on X …the moroccans are plotting
We have back to back shutouts. The Morrocans faced weaker opposition. We got this.

Best game of the tournament. This is peak African footy. Hopefully the Ivorians equalize and extend this thriller.

This is where investment and influence gets you - favorable officiating. It is obvious that the Moroccan FA run African football.

When will the NFF and sports ministry get this through their thick skulls.

It's because i just watched all Algeria highlights at this afcon and i noticed how weak they are against aerial attacks from corners and headers which osimehn is very good at,..

Hell, against Burkina Faso, one of burkinas header hit the crossbar and would have drawn the game had it entered

Also, Burkina, equitorial guinea and Sudan all had terrible defenses that made silly mistakes throughout this tournament and the SE eagles defense has been way better so I dont really see Nigeria conceding...but Algeria's strength would be their long range strikes which are scarily accurate and that would be a problem for nwabali cause he rarely dives to catch such
Great point

Nigeria 2--Algeria 0 Ft

Osimehn to score a header and lookman to score
I beg to differ. Ndidi and Lookman to score. Osimhen will come out with an assist.

I'm not buying this supposed protest. Why wait this late? Whenever such occurrences happened in the past, the players always protested much earlier in the tournament (e.g. WC 2010).

I call bull$hit grin grin

It’s all settled… let’s all calm pls…

Osimhen is critical to our Nation…

A Yoruba proverb goes thus

“A child will not misbehave to the point it’s parent will throw him to the wolves to devour”…
Agreed. I have already deleted my prior comments since the coach announced the spat was settled.

2 goals each from corner kicks.

I hope Eric Chelle is prepping our boys well to defend during set pieces.

No world class stadia.
No youth academies.
No national training centre.
No match day wages paid.
No long term planning.
Archaic domestic league.
