Right on. Having AFCON every two years is starting to pay off.The rise of the likes of E.Guinea, Cape Verde, and many others will increase competitiveness across the board.

I foresee a good outing for CAF at the 2026 Mundial.

This match isn't a surprise. Algeria - Burkina Faso always produce a banger of match. I recall their world cup qualifying tie in 2013. One of the best rivalries on the continent.

It wasn't pretty but a win is a win. I may have my reservations about this squad, but I'll rejoice in their successes. Congrats to the boys and to Peseiro on his first marquee victory.
