This government should not take the silence of the masses to mean weakness. Increasing every fees in public institutions that would bring money into their pockets while still debating minimum wage and palliatives is a recipe for chaos. He has one year left on his contract so he isn't as powerless as it seems. Worst case scenario, he remains at Villarreal and refuses to sign a new deal, then moves next summer to whichever club he wishes without the hassle to negotiations. Making a move to a top club like Milan now is obviously great for his career, but leaving free next summer puts him as it were in the driver's seat if his career (of course it doesn't necessarily mean playing for a top club like Milan will prop up next summer).

So as it is, Villarreal is condemned to sell especially if her doesn't sign a new contract or they lose him for free.

I personally don't mind if he stays or goes. But if he wishes to move to Milan, and outrageous transfer fee demands are a roadblock to that, then you kinda feel sad for the lad. Its a powerless situation for him.

The rationale is fair. The same issue exists in Canada where they're bringing in millions of immigrants yet no housing or well paying jobs.

Yep. This is why I want the FG to make massive investments in our domestic league (revamp stadia, get TV deals, encourage private sector investment, fix imagery, modernize,etc.,).

Doing so will not only improve our football but it can create many jobs.

One has to highly applaud SA for maintaining their stadium 13years after the World Cup. Their Template for that should be emulated without any omission. We dey struggle to keep Abuja standard, with some of us here even hyping mediocrity with "it is manageable"

They have a world class rugby union domestic competition which helps to maintain their stadia.
