Joebie: Arab or African win, whatever. Sub Sahara Africa with lots of talents still have a lot to prove. At the end na black man matter we dey defend. You hit it right on the head. Most outsiders will see this as an Arab feat. Black Africa cannot rest on this laurel and must prove themselves on the world stage. Congrats to Maroc though. |

komekn: I understand what you are saying but think there are very difficult questions without clear cut answers. For instance;
What's the unit of measurement for passion, commitment, loyalty belief and humility. These are Very subjective and perceptive based deductions open to abuse.
What creates identity a sense of belonging and inclusion that creates cohesiveness loyalty and undying commitment.
In my limited experience all these multi dimensional factors created outside primarily of the group,team.
Leaders inspire and motivates, builds up and is not just honest but seen to be honest fair and of unquestionable integrity.
Just as at our political level there has been wide spread comprehensive failure of leadership, where nepotism, tribalism, religious discrimination and mediocrity thrive. With a very big dose of endemic institutionalised corruption. That characteristic is seen in every government public institution , why should the NFF be different.
Go to Morocco and it's close to being a European nation by infrastructure both physical and socio -ecomomic political . These things impact on everything they do including Thier football.
Until we deal with out multi faceted cancers ,we will struggle to replicate what Morocco had done. All of the ills you have mentioned are part and parcel in every Black African nation. It'll take a huge miracle for a Sub Saharan team to achieve what Morrocco has. This is simply the bitter truth and its a pill that many are struggling to swallow. |

AndSunGorilla: Croatia was a part of the old Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia were no push overs back in the day. In 98 they had Suker and it took a Thuram inspiration for France to beat them. Also there is a notion that Eastern Europeans are highly intelligent and good at strategic thinking, we always expect them to be good chess players right? Anyway give it to them, they have a solid team, solid coach, major ingredient missing is just that their attack is not as sharp as the days of Suker or when they had a younger Mandzukic. Once again respect to Morocco, some people won't like to hear that. Respect also to Belgium who really carved open the Croats but could not go past Lukaku's majestic defensive blockade. You mention Yugoslavia. Why is it that Serbia and Bosnia are not emulating this success? What gives? |

Sofiane Boufal dedicated his team's victory over Spain to Arabs, Moroccans and Muslims in a recent instagram post, whilst disregarding massive African support towards his team.
Fellow Africans, please be mindful of who you support and call as brethren. These people have always distanced themselves from Africa and aren't afraid to proclaim such!

daveP: I rather get 40-72 passes and threaten opponents goal asap and focus on quick ball recoveries. 1000!!!!!!! Like what the hell. That's the combines passes of 3 EPL teams in 3 different games that produced over 10goals Honestly. The tactic should've been buried after their ouster from Group stage at the 2014 World Cup. |
