It's painful. I see some of my Nigerian brothers, switching sides and actin like rats already. They whimpering and disowning the darling team already. That shows they were plastic fans.

Bruvv, I don't know what team you support, I don't know your clubside but I guess there was a time it was in it lowest ebb. Did you become a rat? Did you switch sides and curse that quick?

In life, things happens. It can't be all smooth. It's no bed of roses but you have to keep moving and be on the better sides of history. We the Nigerian people should understand that.
This pain is temporary.
Well written. There's a silver lining to this. We can tear everything down and rebuild bottom up to come back stronger for 2026. There will be more spots by then as well.

When the Netherlands, Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana and Ivory Coast failed to qualify 4 years ago ,it wasn't the end of their worlds.

You folks should not invest yourselves too much into this. Take this loss in stride and move on with life.

I will not be able to watch today's match due to working in a different timezone. I trust our boys to get it done just as they did 4 years ago with that golden strike from Iwobi against Zambia.

Hope all of you enjoy the match and wishing safe spectating to the fans at Moshood Abiola.

Wait o. Has VAR been fixed at MKO Abiola stadium?
Yes. If it wasn't installed, then we wouldn't be playing there. FiFA would've rejected the stadium upon inspection

What is it with Ukraine and all of these press releases? They have resorted to petty hyperbolized lies and propaganda in order to cover up Zelensky’s stupidity. That midget got duped by the Americans and thought NATO would fight the war for them grin

I think our boys will handle the pressure well in Abuja. They've played under adverse conditions several times before. The final game against Cape Verde where we held them to a 1-1 draw comes to mind.

Russia is one overhyped shithole!

America did not even lose that in over 6 years of war in Afghanistan

Glad its coming from them so the morons supporting them will finally accept

How can you send hunters to war without being killed like chickens, coupled with dilapidated soviet union era hardwares
You are comparing apples and oranges. The US fought an amateur rebel group alongside a mighty international coalition under the aegis of ISAF. Russia is fighting Ukraine who is being incredibly funded and supplied by NATO and other Western allies.

ghana team met their coach for just two days to playing a star studded nigerian team but managed to play a goaless draw even performing better... A nigerian team that has its coach since long ago, who should be ashamed ?
We are not star-studded. Such terms are reserved for teams like France or Brazil. We have a handful amount of decent players and many who have potential, but "star-studded" is pushing it.

Maintaining a 1 goal lead will not be enough in Abuja. An equalizer from the Black Stars means we lose by away goals (if the match finishes that way). Ghana may disappointed that failed to score at home in front of a full capacity crowd, but the pressure is on us to win by a comfortable margin so as to avoid this away goals rule.
