Well I doubt he would give her any sorts of grounds whatsoever to give her claims of him having a multimillion dollar fortune, stashed away somewhere, any validity at all.

He has stated that the company was started by his father and handed down to him and as such he isn't the sole owner of the business. For all you know he may not even be the majority shareholder. I think that he will many avenues to contest the court's judgement, one of which was his successful appeal. I still say that he will be successful and she will eventually have to accept a smaller payout or his original offer.
Family / Re: Nigerian Billionaire Battles British Wife Over $21million Divorce Payout by praetor(f): 5:04pm On Feb 25, 2012
all those supporting the ex-wife have missed an important point, he has offered her a generous lump sum, probably a house or two thrown in and monthly support payments for his children. Her demands are greedy and extreme. Why do you need $1M each year to look after your own children? It is ridiculous. The woman is a certified goldigger who sees her ex-husband as the ticket to becoming the Ivana Trump of Britain. Unfortunately for her, she is dealing with a very smart Nigerian businessman who didn't get to become wealthy by being conventional. I have a feeling that her divorce suit will be tied up for years and that she will have a very long hard battle ahead of her. And from the looks of this latest twist, I think Mr Prest will actually end up being the winner.
Family / Re: Nigerian Billionaire Battles British Wife Over $21million Divorce Payout by praetor(f): 2:21pm On Feb 25, 2012
sorry you don't labour all your life probably working long nights and maybe eating boxes of indomie noodles (because you don't have any money to buy meat) to have some goldigger relieve you of your hard work simply because she had children for you? That's not the way it works. These women give the rest of us a bad name.

The man has already offered her a settlement which is quite adequate and I'm sure he would also pay her child support for the maintenance of their children. What else does she want? He probably also gave her clothes, jewellery, cars as gifts throughout the marriage, she should take those and sell or better still get a job like everyone else. She doesn't have the divine right to be kept in the lifestyle because it's not hers to give. She was only able to enjoy those luxuries because her husband did well in business. Would she be making these outlandish demands if he was a pauper? No.

Anyway this is where she completely miscalculated. As a previous poster said, with a Nigerian man, you don't hustle a hustler. She don't jam rock be that!

Another instance of an individual seeking to reap where they did not sow,

And as for Mr Prest, he should have got a pre-nup or at the very least, a post-nup
Business / Re: Why Do Nigerian Small Businesses Fail From Inception? by praetor(f): 1:19pm On Feb 25, 2012
What anyone who wants to have a successful business needs is a solid business plan. http://london.craigslist.co.uk/fns/2771812975.html

A business plan is a blueprint for success. A well written and researched business plan can help you sell your idea to investors and financiers and keep you focused and organized so you don't end up wasting valuable resources.

"Entrepreneurs with a formal business plan in the early stages of starting a business more quickly completed typical startup activities such as getting a patent or organizing a start-up team. Formalizing a business plan also helps potential outside investors determine the feasibility of the idea and assists the entrepreneur in forging ahead"
- Startup Behaviors of Entrepreneurs Study

Especially in an environment as unpredictable as Nigeria, you do need to inspire certainty in an investor and convince them that you know what you are doing, that you understand your market and your customers and that you have a strong business model (way for the company to make money ). All this is shown in a well researched business plan. Without a business plan, you will never be able to raise financing. Read here http://london.craigslist.co.uk/fns/2771812975.html

Programming / Re: Web Development Or Software Development: Which Is More Lucrative? by praetor(f): 4:42pm On Jul 29, 2006
learn PhP or ASP.net and brush up on relational databases mySQL. PhP and mySQL, thrown in with XHTML and CSS, and you are away. PhP and mySQL are open source and therefore free; tutorials can be found anywhere on the internet. Develop sites that contain good content and people will flock to it, slap on some ads and you are away. Keep optimising the site and keep an eagle eye on your traffic figures.

As long as you have a logical mind and intelligence you can become a developer. You don't need to go on a course or pay money. A lot of developers are self taught, all it's takes is the will to succeed. There are so many opportunities nowadays for a lot of money to be made.

Ask the owner of this forum, Seun, how much he makes from this site and that should tell you that providing solutions for people's needs online is where the money is.

I bet no one is putting together a social networking site, like this one, and selling the concept to those big companies in Nigeria, building the site around their brand targeting young consumers e.g. if you developed a forum for guiness beer and asked Guiness Nigeria to sponsor it. Can you imagine the useful feedback and brand exposure that Guiness would get for that product, priceless.

If you are a really good developer, you can bid for projects online and get paid for US dollars. Just needs a bit of creativity and boldness

Apparently that stupid Italian said something about ZZ's mother and that's why he headbutted him.

I would have kept quiet and won the cup for the country, said to my teammates "I'll be back in a second" and then gone and kicked that dago's arse. I would then have strolled back and continued celebrating.

Funnily enough ZZ won " Player of the Tournament" Isn't that poetic justice. He was still treated to a hero's reception when he returned to France and was praised b Chirac as being a legend.

Ah well, roll on South Africa 2010,

some of the stupid English players were even claiming that the reason that they lost the penalties was becacuse they were tired!

Have these people no shame!

If I them, I would be slinking around wearing a large cap and sunglasses a la michael Jacskon so no one could recognise me! Even Rio Ferdinard(at least he seems to have a modicum of self respect) says that he is too embarassed to leave his house and so should be!

All that blubbering just because they lost on penalties! It's embarassing!

A former England manager says he doesn't think England will win the World Cup in his lifetime and he is 65

as you can make music, why don't you set up a page on myspace.com and sell music downloads for a $1 each?

or set up a website to display your music as free downloads, slap on adsense ads, once you get traffic you will start making money.

use free software audacity.com as your digital recording studio. All you have to get is an external microphone.

Good Luck!

cool
