Despite all the money allocated to the Ministry through all these years. I am happy that the Ministry since inception is headed by a Niger Deltan and not other tribes who the Militants like blaming for their misfortune. No wonder Uncle Orubebe wanted to destroy Nigeria. The Niger Deltans needs to start holding their leaders accountable. |
The only thing APC claims they have achieved is fighting corruption. When people scream that it is witchhunting the opposition, they denied it. When petitions were written against Amaechi a and others, they claimed there is no evidence to Act. Now there is evidence that their party men are corrupt and here they are victimising the complainant. If I ever hear they I fighting corruption, I will ..... |
The irony of it all is that the real voters are uninformed or unconcerned. The will still vote him once he scales his party primaries. Again they don't really need our vote. They rig them self to power. How many politician have been convicted for electoral offence? |

I can't read this sermon on this Sunday morning. I see CAN president as a special category of Nigeria Politician. I don't take them seriously. Good morning Nairalanders |
amuokuko:Don't mind them. They want the people to move as if they are Fulani nomads that move from place to place. No arrangement will be made by NEMA and the state governments now. They are all religious bigots like some Nairalanders who will rather than take action will increase their prayer hour. My response to them is that it is God who gave us the wisdom to detect these occurance so that we can take action. On the second thought, it appears we don't trust NEMA and relevant agencies in Nigeria. People think they are making guess work. |
All of the Legislatures are guilty of padding the budget. the only issue here is the amount allocated by the speaker and some principal officers to themselves. Unseating Dogara is a difficult task but even the new member that will be appointed is no saint so what's the need. I think its time to completely remove the sickness called CONSTITUENCY PROJECT from our books. The same should be the faith of SECURITY VOTES. They are nothing but corruption pipe. |
When politicians were being kidnapped, they made kidnapping a capital offence. When their investment was targeted by Boko Haram, the hurriedly passed the Terrorism Act. Now they rip us off through all manner of ways, look at our face and tell us that Padding is not a crime. Until the term Corruption is properly defined in our penal codes and their punishment expressly provided, our politicians & civil servants will always take us for a ride. I weep for this nation. |
The suit though justified is to me unnecessary. If her husband can swallow all the insults particularly the obituary adverts, She should have ignored Fayose lies. Her travelling to the US have proved them wrong and the suit will only add to the cause list of our courts and even Fayose will spend Ekiti State money to pay his avalanche of SANs to defend the suit. Foyese is drowning .....we should pity him! |
I wonder what they are celebrating! Budget can be funded from every source of revenue including d covered funds. the earlier this government starts working and stops talking, the better for the citizenry |

sell for 35k and I will pay before 9am tomorrow if you stay in lag. Urgent response pls |
That tribe again! They never disappoint. |
Please why is it that when one orders goods from Jumia, they deliver them in bits rather than together.? I made an order for three different things on a day and had to be disturbed by three different delivery agents on same day. It's really annoying and discouraging. |
Everything in Nigeria today have been politicized. Our politicians have succeeded in dividing us along political lines and we gullibly bought their lies. Benue Ordeals in the hands of Fulani nomads did not start yesterday. It predates PDP/APC. Obasanjo, Yaradua, GEJ and now PMB all met these evil. My only concern is that just as the federal government is not doing enough to solve this reoccurring problem, the states of Benue and Nasarawa too are not proactive. If Maiduguri people can form Civilian JTF to tackle Haram. I think Benue indigenes should take their destiny in their own hands because our government cares about no one. |

Why is the Landlord sitting on a side stool? |
It takes million years to build a good name, but it takes seconds to destroy it. I don't pity either of them. the truth is that they did not start today. only God knows the number of cases that have been bought and sold by these two alone. This nation is really stinking of corruption. Thank God for technology. Even if Tarfa is acquired, the damage is irreparable . Indeed the beautiful ones are not yet born... |
I belong to NBA, but sincerely, they are not worthy to advice the President or the Law Enforcement or how to fight corruption. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria was arrested for a criminal offence with damning revelations from Sahara Reporters and NBA is yet to commence disciplinary proceedings. NBA criticised the Senators for accompanying Saraki to tribunal but is supporting it's SANs who accompanied an accused Tarfa to court. I pray EFCC investigates NBA soon. All the practicing fees I have been paying needs to be vomited by the yam eaters. God Bless GMB |
Although the whole story is heresy, I know deep down me that there is no smoke without fire. The truth is that as long as Justices and Judges are appointed/recommended by Politicians, their independence cannot be guaranteed. In all, let's await the Supreme Court reasons for upholding the election. |
I was surprised when I received an alert from Diamond Bank that the sum of #300 was deducted from my account for Stamp Duties. I sent a mail to the Bank notifying them of this anomaly as my account with the Bank is a Savings account which by relevant CBN circular is excluded from the purview of Stamp Duties. I had quoted the relevant portion of the circular which provides for two exception to the Act namely: 1. “Payments of deposits or transfer by self to self whether inter or intra bank; and 2. any form of withdrawals/transfers from saving accounts." Surprisingly, the Bank replied stating that all accounts is subject to Stamp Duties(Savings and Current). Please my Nairaland family should help me educate Diamond Bank on the CBN circular on this Stamp Duties issue for it appears their legal department is docile. Thank you |

The issue of contract inflation in Nigeria is like Lagos Traffic. It goes beyond description. The truth is that the system makes it impossible for government to award contract without inflating the price. From submitting the bid bond to the award of contract, there are various offices to settle before a contractor can secure a government contract. Fashola did not indict himself per say. To he, he successfully placed the blame on the door steps of those in charge of that particular transaction and the applicable laws. Mind you, the Governor is not vicariously liable for the actions of his commissioners . |

I doubt the usefulness of adopting indigenous language for just one day's sitting in a week. Either its adopted wholly or not adopted at all. |
When shall we have a leader in Igbo land? |
What a Qualification.....CLEANEST DIRTY SHIRT! |
What other fees is there to pay Pls |
Estate Fees in most state of Nigeria is usually 10% of the value of a deceased assets. It is paid to the Probate Registry before a Letter of Administration or Probate of a Will is granted. Once a person dies, his survivors can only access his wealth particularly money in the bank after they have paid the 10% of that sum to the government. This is excluding the cost of advertising and other expenses to be incured in processing the Letters of Administration. To avoid paying this sum or reduce the amount payable, the following is advised. 1. Form a Company and use a corporate account : A company in law is different from its owners. Money in a corporate account cannot be taxed by the probate registrer as it doesn't form part of the deceased estate. The other members of the family should be made directors of the company so as to be able to manage the account at the end of the main owner. 2. Joint account: A joint account is not amenable to probate. Such account with either to sign mandate survives a party to the account. 3. Under declare the estate: With the help of the Bank staff, the money in the bank can be under declared to reduce the amount of duty payable. 4. Leaving out some account. It is not mandatory that all the account of the deceased is declared. Those with small amount maybe declared while those with big amount is left out. Lawyers in the house can also help out with h other options. The way the Probate Registry particularly in Lagos goes about sharing dead people's money is annoying. In this hard time, people need to know how to cut cost. thank you. |
This Pastor Bakare self... Well, Tunde Bakare can never be like Prof Osinbajo. We are all Unique in our own way. Tinubu never said he is Awolowo or like him. People should stop unnecessary comparison |
