Annettevoke: A student came to Canada in September 2024 and has 5 job offers in care giving jobs pay over 20 CAD after 3 weeks in Canada. there are jobs depending on the kind of job you are looking for and how smart you are. Having 5 job offers doesn't mean that you will earn more money...all could be part time jobs, 3hour here,2hours there in a day..moving from one job to another, adding stress to your life.. |

Kurukuru: These are the people giving false hope to other people. Let us do the maths.I will go for the extreme senario which is very rare. There are 24 hours in a day. Let say the student work 24 hrs daily from one job to another. For three weeks, the student cant work more than 504 hours. No care job pay more than $30/hr in Canada. $30 is the highest. Pay ranges between $16 and $25.
Let us go for $30 per hr. . For three weeks, that student would work 504 × 30, which is $15,120.
Then where did he/she get the $20,000 you said the student paid after three weeks? Someone working 24hrs ,30 dollars per hour for 3weeks with the same employer should earn more than 15,120 dollars in 3 weeks not 15,120 dollars.. This is overtime work..will be equal t0 20,880 dollars. |

Dear prospective student, there is no limit to working on campus, you can work any hours on campus. Like I said earlier, all a student need is will. I work 40+hrs a week and God did it for me. Summer break for those working off campus, there is no limits. I paid all my tuition, had 16 As, All As. A strong willed person can achieve it all. Don’t let anybody discourage you. I encouraged a woman abandoned by her husband, she is working on campus and have paid all fees with a baby o. I got 5200$ tax back while still a student and it almost covered my last semester tuition as I did 3 courses for $6k plus. Don’t let anybody decieve you please. Some students got up to 10,000$ tax back. Canada is not UK. Canada students get 15% of their sch fees back as tax back. If I tell you how much I saved after tuition, you might just collapse…in all you do, also prioritize your health. Work smart not hard. Go for easy jobs..God will make your dreams a reality..Amen! I advised someone against asylum and today he is a graduate, he worked and paid all his fees, He is Asian not even Nigeria…If you don’t understand, ask how… I actually came for some answer to some questions but the many negativity I read was tiring o hence my 2 cents 🥰 You talk like someone who left canada after studying without pgwp! Didn't believe story of the woman with baby seems fake 10,000 dollars tax back is fake.. Seems like you are cooking up stories now. |

I'll like fo know if this applies to people that chose a shortage course i.e their course can fly for PGWP. I got admitted for PGD in International Business. I'm anticipating your response please, thanks. It is only applicable for those applying for pgwp on or after November 1,pgwp will be linked to labour shortage in canada.. They will reduce pgwp duration to programs not in demand in canada.. It can include your program as it is not a labour shortage program in canada and you are at public college. |

If you have the money fine but all one need to study abroad is the will not even money… This is practically impossible to pay 100% tuition fees, unless you work full-time per week upto 40 hours per week and plus overtime during holiday time, some companies pay more for working overtime, that is 1.5 times the regular hourly wages and resides in province where housing is cheap not possible currently with 20 hours per week...I know some students paying tuition fees without 3rd party support but not doing well in competitive courses, some have no choice than to change courses..They can also file income tax coming year get some money back from cra add to pocket money.. |

My Sister in law residing in US paid my school fees in full. I attached her work and yearly tax assessment, her birth certificate, change of name, marriage certificate and my home ties- my dad, landed properties. i attached my husband's statement of account his home ties about 4siblings in nigeria only one outside nigeria. Also have just one sibling in US too. please see my GCM Notes. How do i treat this with all my submission and am seeing processed with the assistance of chinook3+. can someone help me. i am very sad and weak because this refusal is baseless. The mutual fund was not even stated at all as if i did not attach it.
GCM NOTES FROM IRCC - BELOW The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for the applicant (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
Applicant provided their bank statements with closing balances of USD 2,005: NGN 1,122,404 and NGN 212,286
Applicant's sister-in-law (spouse's sister as per support letter) to financially sponsor. Beyond a written indication, there is no other documentation substantiating the relationship between PA and sponsor. No birth certificate provided for the applicant and sponsor. Family link could not be established. Bank statements provided. Banking transactions show some seem funds available. Financial information is not supported with sufficient evidence for the bank statement balances on file. Limited evidence pertaining to the source on stated funds.
Applicant will be accompanied by spouse and two minor children. Applicant's most expenses are being supported by the sponsor. Applicant's personal ability is very limited. I am not satisfied applicant has sufficiently explained the relationship in a way that justifies the huge undertaking of the sponsor to fund their expenses.
Considering the costs of living for the family of five in the intended destination including but not imited to transportation, shelter, and food, I am not satisfied that there will be sufficient unhindered funds or other financial means to support the proposed trip and initial settlement.
Tuition payment noted. Additional funds are required for living expenses.
Based on the documentation on file, and the limited information demonstrating the availability of the funds, I have concerns that third party funds would be sufficient and available for the proposed studies. Therefore, I am not satisfied that applicant has sufficient and available financial resources to pay the tuition fees for the program of studies that they intend to pursue and to pay for living expenses while in Canada.[/b][/i] You have N44.9m in your maiden name, and some funds in other bank statements, paid school fees in full... Tuition fees Noted.. VO mentioned that your personal ability is very limted, you have N44.9m on statement, how come your sister is to financially support the whole living expenses ,seems like VO purposely ignored the bank balance of N44.9m , as you have no part in living expenses and to have strong reason of refusals. Application was complicated by third party sponsor which should have limited part in living expenses. |

Canada government is carrying out the plans to reduce the number of permanent resident coming to canada through express entry PR pathway and also reducing the number of temporary residents arrivals, because of pressure on housing and to lower immigration level.. As of now only Canadian experience class, province nominee program majority of these candidates are already in Canada and French language proficiency draws which is priority is regular in express entry.. And will adjust overall immigration level plan for 2025 to 2027 for permanent residents admissions, which will also now include number of temporary resident intake for 2025 to 2027,new immigration level plan will be released this fall 2024. |

aworhmabel: Hi
First step is to calculate ur score via the crs tool. Use this link: https://ircc.canada.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
Second step is to take the IELTS Exam and make sure u get a minimum of Listening: 8; Reading: 7; Writing: 7; Speaking 7.5 (i will advise you to aim higher, cos the higher ur IELTS test, the higher ur points for language)
Third step is to get ur highest degree evaluated via WES (preferably masters). You can do this while preparing for ur IELTS exam. The link to WES Canada is https://applications.wes.org/createaccount Your University will be the one to upload your results via WES. So u shouldn't bother yourself. It is only wen u start the process that u understand it
Fourth step is to create an express entry profile and enter the pool with the NOC of your choice. The link to registering of an account via canada immigration website is https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
Nomination via PNP is only applicable to u if u av a sibling residing in that particular province for over a year and that province offers sibling nomination. Provinces like Alberta,Manitoba & Saskatchewan offer sibling nomination but you need to go to their various websites for further research. You can explore the ongoing category draws. There are six categories which are: STEM (this is applicable to u), Agriculture, Transportation, French, Trade and Healthcare. You just need to have had work experience in the last three years for either of these categories and enter the pool with their NOC (For example if you have worked as a Transportation manager in the last 3yrs, u can go into the pool with NOC number 70020 for work experience and make sure that you can get a reference letter/payslip to backup ur claim after u av received an ITA) You can use this link to track all the draws done and their last CRS score and compare with yours, so you know where you stand, or which category draw to go for. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4
There is no telling on when you will get an ITA or the exact timeframe to get ur PR afrer ITA cos Canada is not predictable. So instead of worrying about all that, start with baby steps by getting ur WES/IELTS and entering the pool.
Leave the rest to God.
There is going to be an announcement next month on the various categories/number of people Canada wants to welcome next year. So u can be preparing for ur IELTS while you await the new update Manitoba PNP for close relative connection is a dead end for now it is stopped...last draw was december 2023 and most of them waiting for nomination over 8 to 12months are calling for help for nominations ..while others in the pool are competing for limited slots, as Manitoba PNP prioritise those whose work permit are expiring in 45 days to clear backlogs of over 5000 ..increasing waiting time for overseas candidates. |

Semtu: For those coming to study for the purpose of getting a PR, I will advice you first go to the Express Express CRS tool and calculate what your future score would be with after earning a Canadian degree. If your score would up to 520 to 530, then I would advice you forget about it and not waste your time and money going through the study permit process.
At the moment, the average cutoff score is an around 510 to 520. Now this score keeps increasing yearly so don’t expect it to come down. If you begin your study this year in Canada, you will spend about two years studying then you graduate. After you are done studying, the minimum cutoff could have climbed to 530 which still puts you behind and unable to get a PR.
So my advice to everyone is that study permit is not a road to PR. Do your calculations well, see what your score would be after studying. If you feel it would be enough, then go for it. If not you only end up wasting your time and money.
Instead of coming to Canada to waste millions for a degree that does not guarantee PR, why not enroll in a French program in Nigeria and learn the French language? The cutoff for people fluent in French is just around 380. You can learn French in few months and pass the TEF test. Then apply for PR from Nigeria, that in my opinion is the best route for anyone who really wants to migrate to Canada. Learning French would not only help for PR, it would also help in getting a job. There are lots of jobs in Canada for people who are bilingual. Jobs that even the Canadian degree would not get you. Nothing is certain with canada 🇨🇦 these days..Trudeau government are reducing permanent residents arrivals people coming from abroad with PR in express entry since may 10th 2024 according to what they discussed in the last province and territories meeting with canada immigration minister, recently Trudeau wants to reduce the immigration level plan made his own statement in August 2024, even the French language proficiency draws may be stopped at any moment once they reach target or decides to reduce temporary residents arrivals from that category.. The only draws that is certain for now in express entry is CEC because majority of the candidate in the pool are already in Canada and not arrivals which they draw twice every month. They only prioritized French to preserve French language culture and history in canada.. CEC cut off started dropping recently based on the last three draws because there is no other category to draw in that pool except CEC and French language draws including provisional nominees program which has its quota already and CEC candidates in that pool is not that increasing and scores started dropping and government wants to meet its 2024 immigration targets, unless the immigration level plan changes in 2025 CEC cut off points 👉 @ 507 last draw started with cut off point @ 522 will drop below 500 in 2025 because of cap on study permit,SOWP and other work permits for temporary residents. |

MarksmanD: What Germany have done is better boss. If Canada had enforced every student to open a GIC account, maybe some students who submitted fake account statements with the intent of working to pay for their living expenses and school fees won't have faced the hardship that has caused some of the student crisis in Canada. Also, almost all German public schools are tuition free and the ones you even pay for tuition collects far lesser tuition fees than Canadian public schools where you pay 10x more than a residents. I have two acquaintances who migrated to Germany almost a decade when they started their free tuition, they stopped schooling and have transitioned into their labor markets. Like dem never graduate till now ooo! If not because I had bad grades in uni, I would have just gone to Germany since. Let's not compare both both countries. Germany is so far better than Canada in everything. I was not comparing the two countries yet 😆 lol..just the bocked account in German visa requirements. Majority of the European countries is better than canada Economically and infrastructure etc. Canada that couldn't produced a shot of COVID-19 vaccine during COVID-19 pandemic and now.yet studying health care related courses is competitive for international students in canada compared to domestic students..those with pr and citizenship even the education system itself is questionable in some institutions. |

MarksmanD: When I was in secondary school, classmates used to say a quote when in a dilemma like "you're in heaven, but you want to still go to hell." Germany is heaven. Canada and Australia are hell. Depends on your residency status in Germany, but if you're settled there and fully assured there, just learn German and start your life there. Canada and Australia are distractions you don't need right now because they don't want migrants, especially international students. Also there no jobs in these two countries and their economy isn't better than Germany. If you think Germany taxes are too high for 14% for every 59k, Canada is 15% and Australia is 16%. Also, their currencies CAD and AUD, are very inferior to the EUR. Don't be enticed by what you see on social media about Canada and Australia. The only country I can tell you to relocate to over Germany is the USA. Like the famous proverb says: the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Please do your research before you take my advice. You didn't include that students are required to open blocked account of 11,208 euro in Germany for living expenses prior to obtaining student visa plus heath insurance.. And the money will be frozen after you arrived you are required to withdraw only 992 euro per month for monthly expenses.. |

chrisifeanyi: How fast can one process and get PR to Canada from Nigeria? Someone was just telling me how people are wasting fund to study in Canada whereas most of them can actually get PR while in Nigeria before travelling . Is it worth exploring? How long does it take to get ITA? Canada is changing it's immigration policies almost every month in 2024..it is no longer business as usual getting PR from abroad in express entry draws if you are referring to express entry draws for PR,they have slowed down express entry draws overseas candidates, increasing cut off points, concentrating on those already with Canadian work experience, CEC. The only priorities in express entry daws nowadays is French language proficiency draws and once in a while health care draws.so if you have proficiency in French you can create express entry profile or work experience in health care, the other professions are uncertain. While you can still create profile anyways. On 26 of August 2024 ircc will launch francophone minority student pilot, to allow students in 33 african countries, majority are French speaking to study In Canada, they can bring family members with work or study permit and with direct pathway for PR after graduation..this can even slow down French language proficiency draws in the future.More economic policies are proposed in 2024 that may effect express draws for overseas candidates exploring PR options in express entry.
