When Kanu went on air ordering the kpaing of anyone who disobeyed him, and later boasted he could stop insecurity in the Southeast in two minutes, that was posturing for a political solution, a threat designed to force concessions. He wanted governors to come negotiate on his behalf “so peace would return” on his terms.

That’s why his people started pointing at terr0rists in the North, an ironic, telling diversion. They moved from denying he was a terr0rist to demanding that their terrorist be negotiated with.

Kanu said repeatedly that to get Biafra they would turn the “zoo” into a place worse than Sudan. When you heard that, where did you think he meant? Who were the intended victims? Who would be used as shields?

When he said “we will draw the zoo army to our land and annihilate them” how did you imagine that drawing happening? Through singing praise and worship? By singing the Biafran anthem? No, he meant ambushes, bloodshed, and using civilian bodies as shields on Igbo soil.

You lot cannot pretend to be outraged now after cheering the vi0lence and expect anyone to take you seriously.

You cannot demand his release to “calm the land” when he is the one who set it on fire.

The recordings didn’t make him guilty, his own words did. And you heard them.

And the law said he had a case to answer.
