Why not stay put in your region
They're telling us that their region is not really habitable. They have to move out before they can amount to anything

Those who nzogbu nzogbu will always end up beaten, brutalized and frustrated.

Just street naming is causing so much hullabaloo, what if we now ask them to go, them they will petition, FIFA, NFA, UNESCO and NEPA.

You aren't seeing anything yet
They just like attracting bad vibes to themselves only to turn around later and start crying.

IGBOs allover NIGERIA are the dominant tribe after the indigenous people. This shows that IGBOs are everywhere, just like the SUN grin
That's not true. In most SW states you have more hausas than ibos. Okada riders, laborers, kiosk keepers, maiguards, food traders are mainly hausas in the SW. But they don't attract unnecessary attention like the ibos

I don't totally believe that how can the igbos be more than the Host state
He's saying nonsense. He is APC and he said that so that the many Yorubas who voted for obi in 2023 will not vote for him next time. They used similar tactics during the Guber elections in 2023 in Lagos

are they not Biafrans anymore?
The agitation for Biafra is valid because they're denied the leadership of Nigeria. They feel excluded. Meanwhile they contribute to Nigeria as much as any other tribe. But then there should be a referendum to see if they will prefer to have Biafra to staying in Nigeria

If Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has been so good as the writer made us to understand, he has been the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction for more than 2 years now. What's the percentage of poverty he has helped reduced in Nigeria sincre he took over?
You are talking as if you don't know that with these APC guys everything is just about politics and not performance

Hahaha, all this development is just making me laugh. I'm an Igbo guy born and raised in Lagos and still reside in Lagos. The truth is, all what is going on now with this street renaming is just gonna deeping the hatred between Igbos and Yorubas. I'm not against Yorubas making their place their identity but they're ways to go about that won't cause rancour.
Like for example I am an Igbo guy but I have more Yoruba friends than any other tribes. I speak Yoruba more than my own language.
I fought severally with one of my late uncle bcus I am not supporting him on the issue of Biafra. And till today and forever I still stand my ground that we don't need Biafra. But what Yorubas are doing now will make Igbos who has a stand like me but doesn't have strong mind like me to have a rethink and start wanting the Biafra.
Let's tell ourselves the truth here, Yorubas or Lagosians are benefitting from Igbos here in Lagos more than any other tribes.
Go to Abule Ado, Satellite, Ilufe and all of the area surrounding Alaba market and see the development Igbos has brought there with beautiful houses and mansions.
I grew up in Ojo, go to Olojo drive from Volks to Ajangbadi and see how Igbo guys has turn around that area.
Is it Ajao Estate, Okota, Festac and other places too numerous to mention that Igbos has developed.
My own is I keep praying everyday for Lagos to remain peaceful and not disintegrate. Cus if Yorubas succeed in chasing Igbos away we all including me "cus I'm not going anywhere" will feel it except some Yorubas who will not say the truth bcus of pride.
.
Now back to the renaming of streets and bus stops. Some names of streets and bus stops will never change in the minds of passengers and conductors till eternity.
Example I know of is Cassidy bus stop in Okoko area of Ojo local govt. 15 or 20yrs ago it was renamed to a local name I can't rmbr. But till date it's still call Cassidy bus stop.
Same with Oregun bus stop that was renamed Kudirat Abiola way. Till date Conductor no know Kudirat o, na Oregun bus stop Dem go call am.
And to Charly boy bus stop that has been there for over 30yrs and you want all of sudden for conductors not to call it that again. Lai lai, till majority of us here leave this world. I can bet my balls that, that name will never change from the minds of Passengers and conductors. And to think they rename it to "Baddo" respect to Olamide my guy. That name doesn't sound right in a civil and well educated society like Lagos. That Baddo is for entertainment purpose. Can any of you here call yourself Baddo or Baddest in a corporate or where sane people are gathered.
We traveled abroad and claimed racist and victimized, but we're all worst of it here in Nigeria both Igbos and Yorubas.
Well I have overshoot my time, you all the unembittered ones should stay and remain blessed while we wish Nigeria to be great again if Nigeria was ever great before.
Don't mind them. Always looking for enemies in the wrong places. They don't focus on the thieves ruining their lives from east to west to north and south

Don't delve into what you don't know, there nothing in Awori dialect that is called Alaba. That area has been indigenous settlement up 80s when Jakande open up the area. You can as well tell me the meaning of Okokomaiko, PPL and Cassidy.

While I agree that Alaba could literally mean the owner of a hut, but the naming of Alaba market has nothing to do with that
So is alaba Igbo or Hausa? Thank you for agreeing with me that alaba could literally mean owner of Aba. Maybe you should let us know what alaba means "literally" in Igbo or Hausa. I don't know what you people gain from these tribal endeavors

Now Lagos state is beginning to take control of its affairs.

The next is to rename some market that their name has no link to the people of Lagos state.

It is high time Alaba market is changed to reflect the history of the people of Ojo. There nothing in Yoruba and Awori dialect that bears Alaba.
Is alaba Hausa or ibo?

Aba in Yoruba means living space in a village. Alaba should mean owner of Aba. That name probably came from the time that place was still a village. Don't let us get ahead of ourselves because of these tribal things

This is how you people fail. You can be loved before and later be hated. Adeleke is gone. Obaseki was the toast of many of us then but the last two years of his second tenure, the love died. Asue was just unfortunate cos the baggage of Obaseki rub him.
It's not as if he was even loved before. What he got was emotional votes because the people of osun wanted Oyetola and APC out by all means at the time
PoliticsRe: Refinery: We Imported 150,000 Containers Through Lome Port — Dangote by Predictor3: 11:24pm On Jul 22, 2025
franchasng:
Aliko Dangote's wealth is Nigerian peoples collective wealth invested in one man by successive Nigerian Presidents.

Tell me what Aliko Dangote invented?

What rare or never seen business idea or solution he created or initiated to amass such wealth like other billionaires from other nations?

All the businesses that made Dangote rich were businesses other Nigerian entrepreneurs were also doing but Dangote used government policy that usually favor him because of family background to monopolize the business and force others in same sector or business to close shop.

From Cement to Sugar to Flour to Pasta to Rice to Transport to Automobile Assembly, and now Refinery, all are normal businesses which Dangote used Nigeria's federal government politics of favoritism to monopolize and force others out instead of bringing something new, an ingenuity that the whole world will marvel at and patronize like:

Elon Musk did
Mark Zuckerberg did
Bill Gates did
Larry Page did
Sergei Brim did
etc, etc

Tell me the rare thing or ingenuity Dangote brought to Nigeria or in business to become the number one entrepreneur every Nigerian government favors?

If successive Nigerian government favors any Nigerian business owner half or quarter of the government assistance various Nigerian Presidents gave to Dangote, that business man may end up competing with the likes of Tata, Musk, etc.
Tell me what rare thing Walton did to make Walmart the biggest company in the world and the Walton family the richest family in the world
