This George Floyd is a criminal, robbed a pregnant woman violently and went to prison for 8 years.
Imagine, all the party and violence for a criminal.
How about the pregnant woman he robbed violently, do they think, she will forgive him even in the grave. No matter how serious George Lloyd criminal past has been or the one he allegedly committed on the day he died, under the US constitution and in preserving of human lives, George Lloyd still have every right to be brought to justice and be charged, not to be lynched in broad day light. From the clips I have seen, the man wasn't restricting arrest, he was complying. We have seen photos of white serial killers in the US being humanely ascosted by Law enforcement agents. |

powerblaze: Where was your stats before the pandemic? Oh so we will forget that Trump brought down black unemployment to the lowest in history? Or that the economy was the best ever? Or the stock market breaking records never seen in history? We will forget all that because of a pandemic huh? Because na Trump invent the virus Abi? Lol.. deception is so easy in the world today. Anyway the guarantee is that Trump will win a second term .. You should also go see the economic results for May. The game has failed. The new game is the protests. Keep up. Yes you're correct the Covid pandemic is not Trump's fault, but he could have done things differently by protecting his economic legacy and taking responsibility as the C-in-C. Instead he was blaming everyone from CDC, to the Democrats, and WHO. South Korea, Germany, Singapore, Australia just to name few countries, handled the Covid pandemic very well with minimal loss of lives. Now the death numbers in the US is almost 110k. |

hermesprogidy: Agreed, Biden is a weak candidate, but the combination of a wrecked US economy, coronavirus pandemic, and Trump's ineptitude appears Biden may just beat Trump. People forget Trump won only through the electoral college, he is not a popular guy, and has done nothing to increase his base in the last three years. Besides, Biden is a white man, and believe it or not is liked by some Republicans. The Lincoln Project is even working for him. Trump hasn't increased his base from 2016, rather he has lost quite a significant number of voter groups. Trump promised to do things differently back in 2016, which didn't work out even before the Covid pandemic. For Biden, unfortunately under this present climate is a better choice. His years in the Senate, VP for 8years and bipartisanship will get enough votes from independents and progressive republicans who aren't comfortable with Trump style of presidency. |

Forget the noise on CNN the voices of the silent majority are unheard who love what Trump is doing. The Evangelicals, the Working class all want Trump. Among all his faults putting America First and the Economy is not one of them. This is what the working Americans want. Trump will definetely need more than the evangelicals, working class to win his 2nd term. The other demograph - the older folks over 65s that voted for him in 2016 have largely left him. The younger generations 18-35 will not be voting Trump. |

feedthenation: James Mattis Denounces President Trump, Describes Him as a Threat to the Constitution
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/06/james-mattis-denounces-trump-protests-militarization/612640/
James Mattis, the esteemed Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018 to protest Donald Trump’s Syria policy, has, ever since, kept studiously silent about Trump’s performance as president. But he has now broken his silence, writing an extraordinary broadside in which he denounces the president for dividing the nation, and accuses him of ordering the U.S. military to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens.
“I have watched this week’s unfolding events, angry and appalled,” Mattis writes. “The words ‘Equal Justice Under Law’ are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values—our values as people and our values as a nation.” He goes on, “We must reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.”
“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead, he tries to divide us,” Mattis writes. “We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership. We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society. This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children.”
He goes on to contrast the American ethos of unity with Nazi ideology. “Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that ‘The Nazi slogan for destroying us … was “Divide and Conquer.” Our American answer is “In Union there is Strength.”’ We must summon that unity to surmount this crisis—confident that we are better than our politics.” Very well written by a 4-star General, who have worked in close contact with Trump for 2 years. On this note, any right thinking individual should know that it is over for Trump. |

feedthenation: Esper catches White House off guard with opposition to military use, https://www.axios.com/mark-esper-insurrection-act-protests-176c7a2c-f814-43bb-b7cd-dd7ca5cff1e5.html
Defense Secretary Mark Esper said at a press briefing Wednesday that he does not currently support invoking the Insurrection Act, an 1807 law that permits the president to use active-duty troops on U.S. soil, in order to quell protests against racial injustice.
Why it matters: President Trump threatened this week to deploy military forces if state and local governments aren't able to squash violent protests. Axios reported on Wednesday that Trump is backing off the idea for now, but that he hasn't ruled it out.
What they're saying: "The option to use active-duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used as a matter of last resort and only in the most urgent and dire of situations," Esper said. "We are not in one of those situations now."
Behind the scenes: Multiple sources close to the president tell Axios' Jonathan Swan they were perplexed by the NBC interview and wondered what Esper was trying to achieve. The combination of that interview plus Wednesday's press conference — in which he undercut the president — has the Secretary of Defense in precarious standing with the White House. - (maybe another resignation soon)
Active-duty troops deployed to DC region start to leave https://apnews.com/e0e783dcbb316887f4fac5a4dbe92563?utm_medium=AP&utm_source=Twitter&utm_campaign=SocialFlow Sometimes Trump talks as if the US doesn't abide by the constitution of the land. Now the Defense Secretary is not agreeing with Trump on using military force against protesters. He thinks he's Putin or Kim Jong Un. |

ijedeikorodu: Trump demanded his church photo-op because he didn't like being mocked for hiding from protests in a bunker, reports say
President Donald Trump walks past police in Lafayette Park after visiting St. John's Church across from the White House on Monday, June 1, 2020. President Donald Trump was enraged by coverage of him sheltering in a bunker during protests around the White House, according to several reports. In response, the reports said, he staged a photo op at a nearby church, to demonstrate that he was not afraid to be seen outside, the reports said. To make way for him, police cleared peaceful demonstrators with tear gas, rubber bullets and flash grenades. The president is facing mounting criticism for his response to the unrest that has broken out in cities across the US.
Trump stood outside St John's Episcopal Church, which is just outside the White House. He held a Bible while news cameras rolled, before returning inside. So after lashing governors to order more force to kill protesters, Trump went for a photo op holding a bible. The church Trump haven't attended since St Patrick Day 2019 - 18 months ago |

Zuorom: Trump didn't bring out the military to stop peaceful protesters, it's the looting and destruction by Antifa that he wants to stop. Nobody needs to be shot and if Antifa stops rioting nobody will be shot but suggesting that the president shouldn't do anything while a group of criminals go about burning, looting and attacking innocent citizens is a no no. What do you want Trump to do about the Antifa rioters?fold his arms and look the other way? That will be a deriliction of his duties. Btw, hope you know it's better that it's the army that is shutting them down than a situation where other citizens get fed up and decide to take the laws into their own hands? Why bring the military into a domestic problem when the US is not at war with another country. Clearly shows Trump is out of his depth to provide leadership. All is he needs is to communicate to his citizens in a manner worthy of the office he represents. If Trump reads and meditate on the bible he is holding instead of binging on Fox News, he would have come across (Proverbs 15:1-2) "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. 2. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly" The US is under a democracy, not a dictator. Trump himself tweeted in the past blasting China and Iran for using the military on protesters in Hong Kong and Tehran. |
