I have been longing to ask, with the rate of sin even on the pulpit on a daily basis.
What are the criteria to make heaven?
Please I need answers. Thanks in anticipation. |

Literature › Re: Reading Books/stories Online And Reading Hard Copies Which Is More Convenient by Presh555(m): 7:52am On Aug 05, 2017 |
Having hard-copy has lots of benefits cos you can mark on it, you can fold, add to your library where others who don't have devices to read soft copies could gain access to and it does not affect your eyes unlike the soft copy. On the other hand, I prefer soft copy cos it's more convenient for me. On my phone alone I have over a thousand e-books, imagine me carrying such as hard copies... I would need a trailer to carry them You can join this group GET INSPIRED on whatsapp where you get access to e-books, audio messages, motivational articles and lots more all for FREE. DonFreshmoney: Cut the long story short. I received the mail for the aptitude test for 26th at Maitama Abuja. But I am already working for Zenith Bank. Is It advisable to go for the test? Also I already have a PhD full tuition scholarship in Melbourne Australia starting January 2018. Am confused, cos zenith bank wouldn't allow me to write DPR test on that day, also is it advisable to quit any job (zenith , DPR) to go for PHD. Please let me know. Thanks Can I take your place at zenith?... Just kidding... Pray about it, let God lead you |

corpersforum: It's a nice move. In fact, a great one. MSC I the main. Go for your MSC, then come back and go for a higher position in the bank or anywhere else.
Studying your MSC abroad Is a big deal meeehnn Story for the gods... Once you leave the system, you are out. No-one will reserve a position for you until you come. With the situation of Nigeria, most jobs are gotten on a B.Sc. level not even Masters. |

TD4real: Dear nairalanders, plz i need advice from experienced minds. I am 28 years old and have been workin in a Bank for three years ( i am fairly confortable ). But i have been under pressure by my dad to advance my studies abroad.
The issue here is that it feels i will be starting life all over again, after the MSC then what ? Come back ? Job search again?? I also have a girl friend i have been committed to and we both have been planning to settle down next yr.
I am so confused and i cant plan my future any longer. Some people have adviced that living abroad is always better than nigeria while others have said , if you are ok here why move.
Plz career experts and experinced ones should plz advice me putting into consideration my relationship commitments too. My advice, ask God in prayers He will guide you but from experience, resigning isn't a good thing though when you are living comfortably in Nigeria. Remember you are starting all over again and if your course is not marketable over there(medicine/nursing) you might have issues getting a job. Canada is a good place to live if you can get a secure job over there. |
Education › Re: JSS1 Textbook Teaching Masturbation As Abstinence Causes Outrage by Presh555(m): 8:42pm On Jul 02, 2017 |
Honestly speaking, going through the sub-topic and it's content, I see nothing wrong.
If you are a teacher and you teach sex education, you should know that kids of such age are already involved in it.
It's your job to use wisdom and let them know the dangers in it.
Sex education is taught in stages right from the primary school. You build up on previous knowledge.
Kids of such age are involved in sex already, that's why they need sex education.
Abstinence still remains the key to a healthy living(emotionally, physically and mentally).
The writer or publisher is not wrong in anyway. Guys, take the pain to read that page again. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How Being Educated Brought The Biggest Shame Of My Life by Presh555(m): 7:07am On Jun 06, 2017 |
Beosten: I grew up in a town where there were four government primary schools. Note that there was nothing like private schools there in those days. I was a popular pupil then, because I was winning inter-school competitions for my school. I was a class captain throughout, and senior prefect.
I repeated this feat in my secondary school, and became almost a household name in a town of over 50 thousands dwellers. My type should have worked harder to earn good grades in the university, and probably get retained. But I was hustling to fund the education, and consequently shared my time between earning money and lectures. So, handouts and photocopies were my learning aids. I graduated with second class lower.
My fame soared when, during my university days, my school principal invited me to teach finalists Mathematics due to dearth of teachers.
Fast forward to 2017, no job is forthcoming. A brother of mine from a different mother now owns a car and an auto-mechanic shop. He was known as a very poor student because people wondered at such discrepancy in IQ of related brothers.
To keep body and soul together, I'm doing a job that requires me rendering a service from door to door everyday. I make at least 25k in this job monthly compared to 13k these proprietors are offering me--their argument is that B.Tech degree is not suitable for teaching. It's a common knowledge that only the uneducated and street urchins do this kind of job I do now.
Now I rendered the service to a couple who happened to know me back in the days. I couldn't recognize them at first. The wife was a classmate of mine with four children while the husband was a senior student in our high school then. The husband recalled how the then English teacher used me to ridicule the SS3 students to which he belonged. They couldn't pronounce 'colonel' correctly. So, he shopped for me in JS1 and I got it right. Living in a city now, I didn't think of it that I could easily run into my contemporaries.
"Is this not Yemi?" he asked rhetorically. "Didn't you proceed to the higher institution? How come you are doing this kind of job?" he continued.
The wife reminded me of her name, and I recognized her.
If 17k is used for feeding, 2k for consumables monthly, how much will I be able to save to start a decent business? Note that responsibilities like parents and siblings in needs make it difficult to have savings.
Venting one's frustrations on keyboard these days is soothing, so I'll advice you be like me. Ecclesiastes 9:11 (New Living Translation) I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and *the skillful are not necessarily wealthy.* *And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives.* *It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.* |

Agimor: Basically women are more than men. So I think it's a reflection of the population of Women over men. From Nigeria census I think they said we have more male than female... Even if we have more females, I don't think the difference is much compared to the 3:1 of female to male in our churches. |
