Sam Ibemere should go back home and read the first law of power in order to get an intimate understanding, you can only assume a man has outshined his master on if the master is active, Osinbajo did not plot the fall of president of buhari neither did he got him bed ridden, so why saying the man outshined his master..... agongajoseph: |

A boy's father traveled on a business trip and promised to return on a particular date, the boy while expecting his father to come back from his journey he overheard their neighbor talking about his father, the neighbor said the boy's father is dead. The boy was dumbfounded, he approached his mother in disbelief and asked mummy is daddy dead? I overheard mama Nkechi talking this afternoon that daddy is dead, his mother denied the rumor and told him that nothing of such happened to his father, that his father is hale and hearty and will return home soon. The following day while at school, a friend told the boy that he heard that his father had took ill and died while on his journey, he further stressed that he heard this from the men who drinks palm wine at the popular joint around their area and for what the men are best known for the news is as good as reliable. The boy confronted his mother again and demanded why he his been lied to about his fathers condition, the mother grew tired of the boys suspicion, so she logged on to Facebook and showed the boy the recent pictures the father had updated on his timeline and not just that, to finally convince the boy, the mother made a video call via Facebook messenger and the boy watched his father talk to him live and this proved to him that his father is very much alive. After the proof, the mother told him, "My son, all those people spreading rumors of your father's death are his hater, they just want to sadden your mind, but i'm glad your father is still alive to prove them wrong" I THINK THIS IS WHAT WE NEED FROM PRESIDENT BUHARI. |

A friend once relayed his childhood story to me, he said and I quoted "My father happens to be a man with an iron fist, the best kind of parent every other man would want to be, no nonsense man as Nigerians would describe a typical hard parent, growing up wasn't easy at all as you don't get to be pampered at any point, for days that were full of smile under his roof means angels visited us and never left for the whole day, for everything you enjoy from him today you would pay double for when you mess up tomorrow. Though the truth still remains you mustn't spare the rod if you don't want to see the child spoiled but at some point it was getting too much, his iron fist wasn't getting everything right, at some point his actions which was supposed to build me was not only doing that, it also built hatred in me for this man, it got to a point that I unconsciously had the feeling that I was not going to be moved if he dies, Not that I was planning to kill him but sickness, accident, ignorance do take people's life at any point and for him not being a supernatural being, he can be a subject to any of these at any point in time. The fact was that I had a very strong feeling that I wasn't going to bulge, as nature would have it he got sick and was bed ridden for a while but later overcame the sickness and was back on his feet and one thing he said when he got home was that he knew that of all people who wished him well I wasn't among, he said I would have loved him better if he happens to be lying in a coffin, I was indifferent to that statement, did not give neither a positive or negative answer but he knew the answer. Since then things changed, though he still remained the man he his but I was able to love him" The experience Nigerians are having with President Buhari's is not so different from the story i related above,a wise man once said that in order to know your loved ones, shut your two eyes and pretend to be dead. It was claimed that some of the presidents political oppositions are behind the false rumors which recently diffused all over the internet that he happens not to be a good state of health, this after a UK based website claimed that he had died in London. Taking political oppositions out, I think the presidency must have noticed the true reaction of Nigerians to the news, either way, the first thing they wanted to confirm was the reliability of the news, it seems the the masses felt no remorse, not even a pity and I think this should actually speak some senses into President Buhari and his other APC ringleaders, not that they wish him dead, but for the current reputation the APC administration has in the eyes of the masses, a part of them strongly feels that he won't be missed, at least he who is down needs no fear for fall, can the situation be more than what they currently experience? PMB was actually the sheriff we invited to town, he was the best man for the job when we weighed candidates who demanded for our votes, fighting corruption was one of the watchword and Nigerians were well prepared to make sacrifices but not burden that we're currently made to shoulder. At first we accepted the fact that there won't be a change without sacrifices, we expected it to be sacrifices made in kind but not with lives. The hardship has currently intensified to a point where party volunteers and supporters are being harassed on the streets on daily basis by people who already felt they've been let down and disappointed by the performance of the current administration, these volunteers happens not to be just party supporters but people who also babysit APC and made sure it became a ruling party in Nigeria, they currently have no option than to agree to the tune which currently sounds that APC is drastically falling below expectation and fast losing its threshold. Senses needs to be impacted in APC as the tides needs to change. |
It was quite good an intention he made known, with the way things are going in this country we need real emancipating movement, with the way the same government rules the country in different party names, we need to be more wiser. Its actually quite motivating and encouraging that an artiste who enjoys so much luxury returns from the music/entertainment industry wants to give back to his community by rendering some selfless service to the masses as a comrade. 2012, we were asked to join hands and occupy Nigeria but later on it appeared that we were just being used as a political tool to frustrate the incumbent government of then, as the same subsidy we fought against was taken away from us when the opposition assumed power and at this point in time Occupy Nigeria was no where to be found, even the labour had no muscle to lead a protest. As good as the idea of Innocent Idibia intention sounds, questions should be ask on why he really wants to do this, no matter how big and general a movement is, there is always a hidden personal interest, does he have something he hopes to benefit from this at he long run? or he just feels this is the best he can give to the nation that made him in a time like this. Saying you want to challenge the government as an entertainment artiste is assuming a position like that of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, with all the luxury artistes enjoy today, who would really want to endure the kind of suffering Fela endured while he criticized the government, is 2baba ready to also fight with his sponsors and endorsement brands, you never can tell the angle from which the government will retaliate. He has to be very sure that he his ready for this, it will be too bad for him to loose his credibility. http://dotunomiyale..com/2017/01/is-2baba-ready-to-challenge-sai-baba-it.html

KILL “THE TERRORIST HERDSMAN” OR “THE FULANI HERDSMAN”? According to Merriam-Webster, the word Herdsman is defined as a breeder of livestock, Here in my country what comes to your mind when you hear the word herdsman is the picture of a Fulani Man standing behind or beside a large number of cattle with a long and thick wooden cane in his hand, a woven hat hanged on his back or probably on his head when there is intense sunshine. This days the intense situation cause by the experience being left behind after a set of herdsman passes through a community has made Nigerians to take a step further in defining who a herdsman is, herdsman as a word in Nigeria is now being defined as a Fulani man who watches over his cattle with the use of an Ak-47 Rifle, furthermore, the herdsman is a terrorist who covers up his acts by posing as a cattle breeder, the presence of an herdsman in any community either makes you to flee or probably be extra vigilant if you’re very brave. It’s now very difficult to tag the herdsman with the good man identity he has always had, the man who majors solely in cattle breeding in order to put beef in our pot of soups, he does nothing else, the wife does not even engage in anything different from his profession rather than process the milk extracts of the female cow into a very nutritious drink and cheese, she would trek miles from their settlement back into the city and sell the nutritious content to the city dwellers, the lifestyle of the herdsman used to look like that of a man who renders a selfless service to his community and contented with it. It’s so disheartening this days that our views have been divided through politics and religion, our comprehension now dangles amidst imbalanced thoughts, we do not even know if the herdsman is really the terrorist who serves horror dishes to innocent and unharmed communities or if the terrorist only poses as an herdsman, or if both exist independently but with mutual interest in cattle rearing. The calamitous intrusion of the said Fulani Herdsmen has gotten to an height which has religiously drawn battle lines coupled with the slippery hands which the Apc led government decided to wade into the issue, for numbers of the Fulani herdsmen incident that has been recorded since the Apc led government has taken charge of the country only the Ekiti state Governor has been applauded for the mannerism he used in attending to the matter, the Governor adamantly rose to the defense of his people by declaring war on the herdsmen who terrorised the ekiti community, he said his administration will not accepts some boko haram terrorist posing as herdsmen to inflict pains and agony on the people of Ekiti state, he even went as far as equipping the local hunters with necessary equipment which will enable them to ensure a good security. When the southern Kaduna killings erupted, such move was expected from the governor but Governor Elrufai chose to wait on the federal Government who was probably busy attending to other pressing issues at hand like ensuring the tyrant ruling in an ecowas member country ceases to exist as the head of state and allow the president-elect to assume power, so the killings continued despite references being made to Fayose’s approach. The views Nigerians has been divided even to an extent that the President was criticised, he was alleged to have refused to interfere in the Fulani Herdsmen killings based on the fact that he happens to hail from the same tribe, views became divided tribally which also led to that of religion. Recently Apostle Suleman who happens to oversee Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide presided over a church service and declared war on Fulani Herdsmen, he was quoted talking to his church members: “I have told them in the church here, that any Fulani herdsman that just entered by mistake, Kill him, Kill Him. Cut his head. If they are busy killing Christians and nothing is happening, we will kill them and nothing will happen” I actually can’t blame him, if a robber has been terrorising a community and inflicting injuries on them, what do think a man who feels his house might be next will do? He would probably give his household an instruction to kill the robber at the slightest opportunity regardless of whom the robber might be because the situation seems to be that of kill or be killed, the neighbours next to his house would probably pray he succeeds as he would have saved them from a possible tragedy. Even though the Apostle can’t be blamed for the self-defence, at least he was not asking his congregation to arm themselves and unleash into the streets in search of Fulani Herdsmen to kill, he only gave explicit instructions to kill anyone found within his church premises, but for the size and dominance of Apostle Suleman’s church in Nigeria, has he not for one second had the thought that his church would possibly have a Fulani representation or does he not share the same vision like other men of God that Christianity is for all, if this actually looks the way I had thought about it, then our man of God is probably aiding two wrongs that will never make a right. How will I share a belief in you as a man of God and you declared such war on my tribes men, irrespective of what might have happened, sentiments will surely set in and this would affect the belief the Pastor and I share in the house of God. The use of words when addressing issues like these should be distinctive enough in order not to trigger an entirely different situation and to also avoid being misquoted, some people shut their eyes to the fact that Christians were being killed, the only fact that pondered in their minds was that a Pastor made statements which contains vulgarity by asking his members to kill any herdsman spotted in his church. I think it would have been better if the pastor had declared war on “Terrorist Herdsmen” rather than “Fulani Herdsmen”, declaring war on a particular tribe whom you share the same county with won’t being solutions to the problem at hand, whereas they have not been officially declared harmful and dangerous by the government. The main fact is that our minds has been set against each other both politically and religiously for the gain of an unjust minority, we don’t even know why we act in some ways even that actions meant for our defense turns out to become harmful. |

At some point in time some of us were actually travelling to Lagos for the very first time and with that low orientation our family and friends thought we had everyone tried to contribute to our survival by giving you one advice or the other, which of those advice happens to be one of the worst advice you ever heard about Lagos? The man next to you in Lagos is a theif : They would tell you to always be at alert and never to trust the man next to you in lagos as he might be a theif, they even go as far as backing their advice with an illustration of how they or someone they knew fell victim in Lagos No bus will wait at your Bus stop, you have to jump off: Friends try as much as possible to prepare your mind of athleticism by telling you no public transport will wait for you to get down at your destintion, you must jump off the moving train, but I did not actually meet this that way. Always use the pedestrian or else KAI will arrest you: If you cross the lanes where you're supposed to make use of the pedestrian bridge, then you become a victim o KAI, a you would have violated the law of the land. That is Oshodi,You Must Never Go There: This is one of the places they specially mark for you on the map of Lagos in those days, if the reason is not avoidable, you must never go there and if you must, get out quickly. There was a day I had to move out very early so as to pass through Oshodi before the crowd there wakes up, I had to do that because I was carrying a Laptop Computer, I'm sure you're familiar with what Oshodi was know for in those days before the days of Fashola in Lagos. Jan 15 marks a significant date n the history of Nigeria as it reminds everyone of the first Military Coup d'etat that occurred in the history of Nigeria. As described by Wikipedia: "The 1966 Nigerian coup d'état began on January 15, 1966, when mutinous Nigerian soldiers led by Kaduna Nzeogwu assassinated 11 senior Nigerian politicians and two soldiers as well as kidnapping three others. The coup plotters attacked the cities of Kaduna, Ibadan, and Lagos while also blockading the Niger and Benue River within a two-day span of time before the coup plotters were subdued. A senior Army officer, General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi then used the coup as a pretext to annex power, ending Nigeria's nascent democracy. It was one of the events that led to the Nigerian Civil War" Major Conspirators The Coup was planned by for military officers namely Major Nzeogwu, Major Ifeajuna, Major Anuforo, Major Ademoyega and Major Okafor all with the aim of overthrowing the Prime Minister Abubakar Balewa, according to the majors, the coup was planned in order to put a stop to the corrupt practices of the politicians which at that point in time has became too much to bear. Victims of the Coup: The Incident led to the death of the following government officials at different locations At Lagos a. Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Prime Minister of the Federation of Nigeria. b. Chief F. S. Okotie-Eboh, Finance Minister of the Federation. c. Brigadier Z. Mai-Malari, Commander of the 2nd Brigade NA d. Colonel K. Mohammed, Chief of Staff Nigerian Army e. Lieut-Colonel A. C. Unegbe, Quartermaster General. f. Lieut-Colonel J.T. Pam, Adjutant General, Nigerian Army g. Lieut-Colonel A. Largema, Commanding Officer 4th Battalion Ibadan AT IBADAN h. S. L. Akintola, Premier of Western Nigeria (he Fought back with a machine Gun) AT KADUNA i. Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sarduana of Sokoto and Premier of Northern Nigeria j. Brigadier S. Ademulegun, Commander of the 1st Brigade NA k. Colonel R. A. Shodeinde, Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy l. Ahmed Dan Musa, Senior Assistant Secretary (Security) to the North Regional Government m. Sergeant Duromola Oyegoke of the Nigerian Army n. The senior wife of Sir Ahmadu Bello o. The wife of Brigadier Ademulegun AFTERMATH OF THE 1966 COUP Acting President Nwafor Orizu made a nationwide broadcast, after he had brief President Nnamdi Azikiwe on the phone the decision of the cabinet, announcing the cabinet's "voluntary" decision to transfer power to the armed forces. Major General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi then made his own broadcast, accepting the "invitation". On January 17, Major General Ironsi established the Supreme Military Council in Lagos and effectively suspended the constitution.[2] All of the coup leaders, except for Maj. Ifeajuna who had fled to Ghana, were placed under arrest. Maj. Nzeogwu handed over control of the Northern Region to Ironsi's appointed designee, Maj. Hassan Katsina, before being escorted by Lt Col. Conrad Nwawo to Lagos where he surrendered to Maj Gen. Ironsi. General Ironsi used the coup as a pretext to suspend the Federal Government and bring an end to Nigeria's first republic.[citation needed] In the months following the coup it was widely noted that four of the five army Majors who executed the coup were Igbo and that General Ironsi who took over power was also Igbo. It was feared that the Igbo had set out to take control of the country and in the North of Nigeria the fear of Igbo dominance became intense. This resulted in the massacres of Igbo which peaked on the 29 May, 29 July and 29 September 1966. The Ironsi government's efforts to abolish the federal structure and the renaming the country the Republic of Nigeria on 24 May 1966 raised tensions and led to another coup by largely northern officers in July 1966, which established the leadership of Major General Yakubu Gowon. http://dotunomiyale..com.ng/2017/01/jan-15-1966-coup-today-in-history.html

If the CBN sells to the manufacturers, it will lessen the cost at which they get their raw materials and also lessen the cost of productions but selling to the BDC will only production more expensive as the BDC will even prefer to sell to individual who just want to satisfy personal desires like shopping, travelling , school fees and soon, the BDC will make it scarce and cause hike in the price of dollars. www.dotunomiyale..com |

There could have been no better time to remove Ali Ndume, than this single time the whole APC Senators' Caucus could come together and reach an accord based on the fact that Senator Ndume had frown against the process adopted in rejecting Ibrahim Magu's confirmtion as the Chairman of Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and this majority of them never wanted, the leadership precisely. There is a saying that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, Ndume's foes from both sides came together to have him removed, but what would be the long run effect of this on the senate leadership with Saraki having his opponent as the senate's majority leader. Senator Ali Ndume claimed he was removed for insisting that the senate should follow due process before the declaring that it had rejected Magu's nomination, he claimed that Magu was supposed to have been invited. “What I said was that for us (Senate) to claim to have a rejected a nominee sent to us by the president, we have to follow the right procedure, and observe our rules,” the senator said. “The nominee should have been called into the chamber and presented before senators who will then openly vote on whether to accept or reject his or her nomination. “In the case of Magu, that was not done. We only had a closed-door session and when we emerged the Senate spokesperson claimed that he had been rejected. I had to set the record straight by saying we never rejected the nominee. This is because you don’t accept or reject a nominee at a closed session. It's glaring that Ndume's attempt to go against the senate to save his statesman would not have gone well with the Senate President who has been having one issue or the other raised for him by the Ibrahim Magu's led EFCC and couple with the fact that Ndume had emerge the Senate leader against the wish of the party leadership and as well as against the preference of the President Buhari, it was easy for the whole house to come together and put a noose on Ndume's neck, he had been previously hinted to resign his position as the senate leader but refused as he never believed the plot to remove him could hold water, he left the senate floor for prayers as a Senate Leader only to be greeted with the news of his removal when he came back. The appointment of Ahmed Lawan as the party's Senate Leader happens to be a well celebrated victory, Lawan since his defeat when he bid for the senate presidency has been the party's preference for the party's leadership in the senate. It was said Lawan would create way for a new political configuration in the senate when he steps in as a senate leader, his outing would be a supposed irony for him as Saraki would be attending his trial at the code of conduct tribunal, and in his place Ike Ekweremadu the Deputy Senate President will preside over this house, and to this Lawan had always frowned. http://dotunomiyale..com.ng/ |
