According to www.freedictionary.com a consumer is defined. "One that consumes, especially one that acquires goods or services for direct use or ownership rather than for resale or use in production and manufacturing" So one thing you should understand is in the light of this definition is that a consumer will always go for the best taste as long as he wants to satisfy a burning desire. So to start with: ARIK: I haven't flown on neither arik nor BA but based on what I've seen in pictures and references you cannot compare their quality, I've seen the cabin crew pictures of Arik, Emirates, BA so why should I as consumer not go for the best, its cannot at all time be based on affordability, we need to look at the value for money. NASCO: Since I was small nasco has never been the best option, you talked about nutrition, what about the quality? When you crunch nasco, good morning or kellogs do you get the same satisfaction as a consumer, why should consumers buy out of pity, Rice :It's not arguable that our local rice is better than imported rice, but have you taken time to consider the resources that would be put into preparing local rice to that of imported? no one is ready to burn an expensive kerosene on a local rice when it takes shorter period to prepare an imported rice or do we have the electricity to power a cooker? Football league : are you talking about the same league where officials has no say, or a different one , the league you watch and dose off in the process, the league which it's activities has been crippled by Government interference, we do European leagues because it gives us value for our money, bookers can't even add our league to there list as they're afraid of match fixing Innosson motors: I don't think Innosson is ready to do business, you just expect Nigerians to put their hard earned money on Innosson without seeing it's Street credibility such as it's second hand value, or how many Nigerians buys a brand new Toyota or Honda, Innosson needs to find a strategic way to enter the market, let the government use it, let the multinationals buy it, banks should even add it to their car loan schemes, with this the public will know if Innosson is worth betting on, not just telling us to buy because it's Nigerian made. Mr Senator sir, you can't just push the common consumer this way, the consumer will go for the best available product in the market, you ought to tackle all these agitation through the angle of supply, if home manufacturers should gives us a quality competing product to that of a foreign made tell me why a consumer won't go for the home made, at least Nigerians are not eating imported palm oil as it still remains the best at home and abroad, they need to invest in research and improve quality. As of today one would still prefer the colour of your STV to that of NTA now not to talk of dstv. One more thing, why is it that your cinemas show more of foreign movies considering the number of movies released every week in nollywood? I know your straight answer Would be business. Don't push the Naira blame to the consumers, they always want the best, you can't sweat to earn and still sweat will spending. Omiyale Oladotun O OMERTA

I've been observing your series of advice to Nigerians on how to save the situation of our dwindling Naira, you've advised over the past days that Nigerians should go for home made products in the areas of consumables, club jerseys, automobiles, and so on, you even tried to lay a good example by ordering for an innosson vehicle, I applaud you for that, but there's one more I want from you, can your cinemas put foreign movies on hold for the time being, make your cinemas show more of home made movies or movies made by our own directors /producers, instead of importing movies to show in your cinemas, don't you think this would also have impact in saving our Naira? On January 8 2016, i was driving into a main road through a junction, in an attempt to be careful, I forgot watching my left side as I carefully watched the motor bikes coming towards my right, when they all halted I drove into the junction forgetting a vehicle might be driving towards my left, in short there was a collision, when I got out of my vehicle I realized that I had inflicted a partial damage on the door of a Mercedes jeep, my vehicle too had its bumper and fender damaged. The owner of the Jeep demanded repairs, she even threatened to arrest me or confisticate my car, I pleaded with everything I could as I knew it was going to be hard to make repairs, it was a major junction, alot of people came around and pleaded on my behalf but she refused and even insulted the strangers, as this went on she even boasted that she is a pastor in a very popular church's branch. I had to apologise on her behalf to a guy she cursed while trying to plead for me. Even though I had little, I opted to repair her vehicle, at least to stop her from the nuisance she was causing on my head, when we got to the repairers, the bill was very expensive, was already thinking I might have to sell some of my personal items to raise the money that day as I still have to repair my vehicle too. With the help of some good men around the repairers the bill came down to 10,000 naira and this men are Muslims, and as all this went on this woman kept raining all sorts of insult and abuses on me, to the tune of calling me a 419 and the like, she never kept quite but the most touching part of the story was a man who had nothing to do with the matter but later intervened, he happens to be an ALHAJI who has the respect of the mechanics, he advised me on the issue and later talked to the repairers involved and the price was later brought down that I was only asked to pay 5000 naira. Then I came to a conclusion: Interms of religious difference, this alhaji could have chosen not to help me and while a quite number of people would expect a pastor to have a forgiven heart to a fellow Christian , but reverse was the case, the pound of flesh the woman took from me was far far bigger than the damage I caused her, and she happens to be a servant of God. I committed against a fellow Christian and a Muslim pulled me out. A man already has his attitude before choosing his religion, if you see anything wrong in a man, don't question his religion, check his attitude as a man. RELIGION is plain, only that we choosed to be bad. OMERTA..

MY NEW YEAR MESSAGE I congratulate my fellow Nigerians for making it through to the year 2016, it’s no fallacy that the year 2015 was challenging but still taking time to reminisce various events which occurred in that year, I’m very sure we still have couple of reasons to give thanks to God. As we proceed in the year 2016, I urge us all to keep our faith in God irrespective of our religion as God is always one indispensable factor in human lives. As part of the vibrant youths with the vision to move this country to greater heights, I urge my fellow youths to stop the habit of over reliance on the government by not putting much faith in the government, let’s all think of what we can do for ourselves rather than relying on what the government would do, make your plans and create space for the government’s plan to align with yours not waiting for the government’s plan in order to align yours with it, so if the government plans possibly fails, go ahead with yours. Furthermore on the government, I encourage us all to be involved in every government process close to you no matter how small, be involved so that we can gradually eradicate the existence of cabal in governments, once we’re all involved cabals will have no reason to survive. The nature of the country is still capitalist as ever, so don’t be surprised if your neighbor wants to enslave you in order to have it all, in the light of this, every employed individual should learn to mind their own business as they mind their employer’s business, no man is truly free until he becomes his own boss. To my brothers in the dwelling in the foreign land, learn to give back to the house that brought you up, let us learn to invest back in the country, by this you’re creating a better future so that our own kids will have no reason to go to the white man’s land in sear of greener pastures. To all the elders who has paid their respective dues in which ever sector they are, once at the top of the Abraham Maslow’s human need chart, you have no reason to go to war anymore, I urge you to take time and train the youth who you refer to as the leaders of tomorrow, train us and let fight the battle for you. Finally I urge the government of the day to try as much as possible to yield positivity on every action taken, it’s understandable that the tide is currently strong, but this where the difference should come in, I unavoidably wish Mr. President good luck. I wish everyone a prosperous and super 2016. For the Future Leaders Best Regards Omiyale Oladotun O RM-INDEX MANAGERS

i got to the office this morning and noticed my neighbor having a conversation on the phone mentioning Desmond Eliot name, i got interested though not paying attention to him but was listening to the conversation trying to know why the guy was mentioning Desmond Eliot's name, was thinking maybe the guy knows him or is trying to get connected to him. "so the gift if from bro Desmond, oh!!! i cant believe it.....oooooH!!! thank you very much,oo i never knew it was the real Desmond Eliot" that was my neighbor's voice on the phone, but inside me i kept wondering if the so called actor turned a Lagos lawmaker has turned into a father Christmas in a short-while or maybe the Guy happens to be a relative, but i cant join the conversation so i kept minding my business until the guy came knocking on my door, he said bros you wont believe it oooo, i just met Desmond Eliot on Facebook and chatted with him, he asked me couple of questions which i answered correctly and the next thing was that he told me he has a gift for me, i gazed on the guy as the story was becoming interesting, he continued saying he asked him out-rightly is it wasn't a scam and Desmond told him that God has blessed him so much that he has decided to give back to the community, and this time being a festive period he has decided to bless people with gifts. cutting the story short, My neighbor was directed to a courier service in order to claim a lcd flat screen, galaxy tab, hp laptop and some other mouth watering gift, he was asked of his location which happens to be ibadan and the courier happens to be in Abuja, so he either comes to Abuja or pay the courier to ship the gifts to Ibadan. he was asked to pay 8500 to one account in gtb (kadijat Bello). i just shook my head and told him its a scam. |

1. I need doctors to analyze this acclaimed cancerous patient, how will , a public office holder in this country (where social media knows how many meat you have in your secret pot) be so ill and no one knows anything until she has left office. I think I still remember that of Dora Akunyili of blessed memory. 2. I think I remember that its only at the last stage if cancer you have the hairs ripping off, how long does it take to get to the last stage? because she just had her cancer and it became so worse immediately live its a plague!!!!!! 3. So now that she's sick like she claim, we should be so sympathetic that we should not question her past actions abi? even if shes guilty, she should never be tried for her crimes, because she has been punished by God through cancer abi? The government (encompassing of all these people, apc, pdp and so on) has taken us too much for a fool, no need to show any of them mercy for no reason. .....they are all wicked people who needs to be shot. the government is a slave master. |
