A fan of President Muhammadu Buhari known as Datti Assalafy posted the picture of this old man who claimed to be related to the president on his Facebook page but Buhari's aid said the news is fake.


Datti Assalafy said The man named Idris Usman is from Garin Gabas Twon, Hadejia Local Government, Jigawa State and he claimed to be stepbrother to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buharis father married the deceased mother of the 95 years old Idris before Buhari was born but they divorced and she went back to Garin Gabas in Jigawa where she gave birth to him. When idris was a child his mother sent him to Almajiri school and he didn't go back until he was 35 years old. By that time his mother was late so he continued living in Garin Gabas, According to Datti Assalafy.

The man said their late father's name was Usman and that he went to Daura with the intention of seeing Buhari but he met a grant son to Buhari, named Usman and they went to Daura emirate where they took a sample of his blood and gave him some money.

However in a response to Datti Assalafy, President Buhari's aid on New media, Bashir Ahmad through his Facebook page said the news was fake. Buhari is not related to Daura Emirate and his late father's name was not Usman and he doesn't have any grandson living in Daura, therefore, the old man Idrs is not related to the president.

Bashir Urged Datti Assalafy to take down the story from his page and go back to that old man to get more information as to why he made such claims.

Bashir added that this is an attempt to tarnishing the Image of President Muhammadu Buhari and the president is in good terms with all his relatives.

The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo has returned to House to House Chat after Inauguration of him and President Buhari for the second-term. Osinbajo visits the house of an old man who predicted his Victory at the polls.


In a statement released on Friday 31st May 2019 through his media and publicity aid, Laolu Akande the Office of the Vice president says

In fulfilment of the promise he made during the 2019 electioneering campaigns, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, late Friday afternoon, paid a visit to the family of Baba Alagazhin Gazazhin, a 106-year old Gbagyi indigene resident in Kubwa, a town in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.

The visit is also a continuation of the Family Chats, an initiative of the Vice President, aimed at interacting with the grassroots in their homes and communities.



On January 17, 2019, Prof. Osinbajo, in the course of the Family Chats, visited Kubwa town and met Baba Gazazhin at Kukwaba community, assuring him of more government support to the community and promised to return to the community on a thank you visit after the elections.

During the visit of January 17, the Vice President urged the people to remain steadfast with the Buhari government, noting that "the Buhari government is for the people.”

In his interaction with Baba Gazazhin at Friday’s visit, the Vice President thanked the Gazazhins and members of the community for their support and prayers during the 2019 elections, inquiring about Baba and his community’s welfare. He also assured Baba of government’s continued support for the community.

Speaking through an interpreter, Baba Gazazhin reminded the Vice President of how he had predicted that President Buhari and he (Prof. Osinbajo) would emerge victorious at the polls.

The visibly elated centenarian also informed the Vice President of some of the basic needs of the community, especially issues affecting the youths.

Residents of Kukwaba community including the young and old came out in large numbers to welcome and take photographs with the Vice President, as he walked the streets of Kukwaba, shortly after interacting with his host.
